A Lukesse request (FJesse X Lukas) by YPWingsen

Jesse's POV

"Hey guys, we have another Abaddon case!" I shouted to the others as we got our weapons together and everyone yelled back an "OK".

For two months, we'd been dealing with a guy named Abaddon, whose name literally means death and destruction, who had been rumored to create a serum that didn't kill people, but it did torture people with horrible hallucinations of their worst fears and nightmares.

After a month of failed searches, I had had enough and decided to write to the others about what was going on so that they could help me. After they arrived, we managed to get a tip from Lukas that on his way to Beacontown from his cabin, he'd seen a guy in a hooded cloak try to follow him, but ended up escaping through the woods.

Now, we had him cornered in a dark alley with no way out, but he pulled out a device that would launch a small dart filled with the most concentrated version of the serum he had, if he pulled the trigger.

"Please, just come with us peacefully and we won't harm you." I tried to assure Abaddon as I slowly approached him while sheathing my sword. "See, I put my sword away, no violence is necessary."

"Big mistake..." He whispered and raised the device to level with my heart and pulled the trigger with a loud 'BANG' as I closed my eyes waiting for the pain. However, I didn't feel the dart hit me and when I opened my eyes to see why, I saw Lukas standing in front of me with his arms spread out covering me and the dart had lodged itself into his shoulder.

"Lukas..." I whispered as he collapsed and started to convulse violently and moaning loudly on the ground.

"No!" I heard Petra and the others shout as they seized the device out of Abaddon's hands and escorted him to Beacontown's storage house that also functioned as a temporary jail in its basement and as they lead him away, he was laughing maniacally and shouted to me,

"Good luck with him!"

I knelt down next to Lukas and held his hand as Axel helped me to carry him to the doctor's office in a building that was shaped like a Caduceus.

Time Skip Still Jesse's POV

"Hold him down!"

"I'm trying!"

"Get the sedative, we need to calm him down now!"

The doctor was shouting to the nurses as he struggled to keep Lukas down because of how much he was thrashing in fear. The nurse managed to jab a needle into his arm and it calmed him down for a second until he pulled the needle out and started to thrash around some more.

"Let me in there!" I tried to protest.

"I'm sorry, but I can't allow that."

"That's our friend in there, he needs us." Petra protested.

The nurse hesitated before saying,

"Alright I'll let you in for a few minutes."

"Thank you..." I walked in and the doctor and the other nurses left as the others stayed behind.

"Lukas...it's me..Jesse."

Lukas calmed down when I put my hand on his and he looked at me with a far away look, like I wasn't there.

"I don't know what you're seeing, but I'm here now and I'm not resting until whatever Abaddon did to you is gone." I said while trying to hold back tears as Lukas closed his eyes and fell asleep.

A few days later

We had received news from the doctor who was treating Lukas saying that he'd be able to leave the hospital today, so we went over to go see him out.

"Whatever you said to him before lowered his adrenaline levels which caused the serum to weaken and drain out of his system, he's going to be fine." The doctor told me and the others outside of his room.

"That's a relief." Petra sighed.

"Can we go in and see him?" Olivia asked anxiously.

"Yes, he's just trying to get himself up and out."

We walked into the room and saw Lukas sheathing his sword and he already had his armor back on from wearing his regular clothes before.

"Hey guys!" Lukas greeted us with a bug hug.

"Glad to see you up buddy." Axel admitted while smiling.

"Thanks."

"Don't you ever do that to us again, got it?" Petra growled slightly after punching Lukas in the arm.

"I got it." And he turned his attention to me and smiled.

"Hey Jesse."

"Well leave you two alone." Olivia said as she pushed Axel out of the room and Petra followed.

"Hey..."

"Hey..."

"Look, I-I'm sorry about what happened to you because I wasn't quick enough."

"What? You don't have anything to be sorry for, I wanted to protect you from that dart, and I'm still glad I did, side effects and all."

"What did you see after you got hit? It looked like it hurt you a lot."

"I saw you and all the times I thought I lost you and almost did, twisted to where you died, right in front of me..."

"I'm so sorry..." I pulled him into a hug which he returned immediately as we just stood there, silently crying to ourselves that we were both safe.

AN- Sorry this took a little longer than expected to post, but I had tests all this week before break but bow I'm going to try and catch up of requests with only two more to go and I want to make a special one based on a video I watched today, so I hope you'll stay tuned (metaphorically speaking) to find out what 😉
