Part 8 (Jesse)

Petra squeezed Jess' hand as they watched people split into two groups.

Lukas hiccuped, "Whoa. What just happened? I remember dancing with you, but I wasn't controlling myself." He face-palmed, "Then I said 'Lukesse'. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean-"

"Relax." Jesse interrupted him calmly, placing a hand on his shoulder, "It was really fun. I mean it." She thought for a moment, "So, do you actually dance that good, or was it the potion?"

Lukas smiled, "Heh, I actually dance like that. I just never really bring it out."

Jesse's eyebrows raised, "Wow! I just want to say: You dance really good! I think you should express yourself more."

Lukas laughed, "Thanks. I'll do that. You do too. You're incredibly flexible."

"You're not the only one who took classes as a child. I did gymnastics." She said matter-of-factly.

Petra hiccuped and Jesse and Lukas turned to see her pull her hand out of Jess', "Why were you holding my hand?"

"That's a question you should ask yourself. I know you remember it. Lukas does." Jess said back.

Petra glared at him, "Maybe I do, maybe I don't."

Jess wasn't done with the teasing, "For someone who 'hates dancing', you seem very educated in that department."

Petra rolled her eyes, "Jest because i'm not a fan of dancing, doesn't mean I can't." She crossed her arms. Jess laughed, "You looked like you were having fun though." Petra opened her mouth to argue, but she was interrupted by the manager.

"The winners are Jetra!"

I love Jetra, but I have to say I wish it was Lukesse, my OTP lol.

Petra laughed and pointed at Lukas and Jesse, "In your faces!" Jess came in, "You even got a head start and still lost."

Jesse scoffed, "It's only because it's crazy to believe you can dance. They already know Lukas and I can dance, but you guys are usually bo-ring!" She yelled the last word. Lukas laughed.

Jess and Petra glared at her, "That's not why you lost. They just saw real talent." Jess said.

Jesse took a step towards him, "Oh yeah? I'll show you real talent. Lukas, let's do this."

"I AM NOT SUFFERING AGAIN. WE WON AND THAT'S THE END OF IT." Petra grumbled.

Lukas itched his neck, "Yeah, maybe we should just leave.. people are whispering and pointing at us."

Jesse sighed and nodded, "Okay." They gathered their leftovers from the table, paid, and headed to the door, trying to ignore the whispers. Once they got outside, Lukas said, "I hate to tell you this, but those ship names already exist."

"How?" The others asked in unison, shocked.

"I was going on a walk with Jesse once when this girl squealed the words, 'Lukesse is going to happen!' It was really... odd.."

Jesse blushed and furrowed her brows, "I don't remember that. When did that happen?"

"I can't remember for sure, it was sometime last month. I thought you might have heard it because the rest of the walk was really awkward."

"Oh. I think I know what you're talking about." Jesse held a finger up, "That was the day you just randomly went silent. I thought that something was wrong with you." She laughed and then cleared her throat, "I guess now I know what you were so side tract about."

The four of them continued walking, it remained awkward as they all thought of the past hour.

"Quick question: What's this?"

They jumped and turned to see Stella standing behind them. She lifted up a newspaper in her hand that had the headline of "LUKESSE VS. JETRA: WHO IS MORE LIKELY TO COME FIRST?" They all face-palmed. "How is that in the newspaper already?" Jess asked.

Petra tried to cover it up, "I have no idea what that is. Nothing weird is going on that would support whatever the heck that is." She said pointing at the word JETRA.

Stella raised an eyebrow, "Tell that to the pictures." She flipped to the other side showing multiple pictures of both dates.

Jesse sighed, "Some smart ones decided to put a crush potion in Lukas and I's drinks and I switched it with Petra and they are reacting to it now."

Stella laughed, "This is hysterical! I thought it was photoshop, but it's real? I want to see it for myself." She raised an eyebrow, "Crushes you say? Petra likes you, huh?" Stella elbowed Jess.

Petra hiccuped and Jess gulped, "Here we go."

"I'm a tough girl who can handle myself,  but that doesn't mean I can't have a sidekick."

"Sidekick?" Jess echoed, instantly regretting it.

"Yeah," Petra said, stepping a foot from Jess, causing him shift, "Who knows, maybe that name could turn into 'companion'."

Lukas sighed, "See what Petra and I have been dealing with? We need to get this to end."
