My headcanon was that Cassie sometimes has these delusions and things because she has paranoia now. And she was a creative girl, and had an amazingly wild imagination. Trust me, paranoia and an extremely wild imagination are one hell of a terrifying mix for the person. You lie awake at night, terrified that something your mind made up will kill you if you close your eyes for even a second. Its honestly the worst experience I've ever been through. And so her tiredness made her delusions seem more realistic and she slowly went insane
But that's just a headcanon
A small, insignificant headcanon that i hate myself for because my little cinnamon roll has to suffer ;-;
