Interruptions - Axelivia
Suggested by Jesse_In_A_Tardis
Axel took the small, black box out of his dresser and hid it in his pocket. It was time. But first, he'd have to look snappy.
"Would she like cool style, or smart style?" Axel asked himself as he looked at his skull t - shirt, then the white shirt Jesse had bought for him. Axel really didn't think 'nerdy' style suited him, so he quickly slipped on the bad boy shirt and his trousers.
"Yeah, now I'm flyin' high!" He cried out as he smiled with pleasure and tuck the little rose into his back pocket. Axel headed out.
There she was. The love of his life. He'd go with the plan. Ask her out, go to the Southern Beach, hold hands, and at the perfect moment, exactly when the Sun starts to set, propose to her. Olivia sat on the bench, her goggles over her eyes, scribbling up a blueprint. No offense was going to anyone, but he always have thought Lukas and Olivia were the most nerdiest people in all of Beacon Town.
"Hey, Liv." Axel said as he walked up to her, trying to keep in the blush. Olivia lifted her goggles and set them on her head after seeing the rather bulky boy.
"Hey, Axey." She replied with a friendly smile, her red lips showing more than usual. Axel loves how she always called her Axey. But she didn't do it in front of the others. That would make things way too obvious.
"So, uh... You busy today?" He asked while stammering a bit, and Olivia carefully set her blueprint on the seat next to her. It showed a simple silhouette of a bulky redstone machine that Axel didn't even understand.
"No, not that busy. Why do you ask?" She answered as she pressed her green beanie onto her head tightly. Axel looked around. He was too confused.
"Well, you know... Just wanted to ask if you wanna... I dunno. Hang out?" He asked cooly, but deep down, he was about to die. Thankfully, Olivia smiled and slipped the blueprint into her inventory.
"Sure." She replied as she grabbed Axel's hand and pulled him along the streets, making him blush. Olivia turned to him and smiled a little.
"So... Where to?" She asked, and Axel felt his face getting hot.
"Uh... To the beach?" He suggested, his heart pounding like crazy. Olivia seemed to think for a moment, so Axel quickly added, "It's an awfully good place to see the sunset." Then finally, Olivia nodded and agreed. Together, they strolled to the Southern Beach.
"So, Liv. I've been through a lot of stuff lately, and I know you have, too." Axel said and paused for effect. Olivia nodded slowly as they took their place on the bench.
"Go on." She urged him, and Axel kept talking.
"What I wanna say is that... This might be the best, but most nervous thing I had done in my whole entire life. Liv, will you, will y-you..."
"Hey, there's Petra!" Olivia cut Axel off as she smiled and waved. The redhead, who was standing at the shore setting up a chair waved back. Axel groaned silently. Olivia turned back to him.
"Sorry, what did you say?" She questioned, but Axel shook his head. The propose had to be perfect.
"Nothing." He answered plainly, and flinched and Olivia gave him strange looks. Axel took a deep breath before staring again.
"Liv, I have one question. Only one. One and only. Will you -"
"Give it to me right now, or you'll never see the light of day again!" Somebody shouted out as they both heard padding footsteps across the sand. Lukas was chasing Jesse without his leather jacket, maybe because it was so sudden. Jesse was a few meters away from the blonde, holding a small book in his right hand as he taunted Lukas with the other.
"Lukas has a diary! Lukas has a diary!" Jesse called out with a sing-song tone, as Lukas yelled at him and pleaded for him to give him back the journal. Everybody knew Lukas hated it when somebody snooped in his property.
"Petra, get Jesse for me! He has my journal!" Lukas cried out to Petra, with his puppy eyes. Petra, who couldn't resist those looks, patted the blonde hair.
"Jesse, come back here!" She screamed as she took off after the brunette, Lukas close behind her. Axel sighed and looked at Olivia laughing. She looked so pretty when she laughed. Axel decided to leave the 'perfect' thing out of his list.
"Now, finally! Olivia. What I was about to say... Will you -"
An extremely loud yell erupted the silence. Lukas ran, or limped across the sand before falling on his chin after tripping and twisting his ankle. Petra soon came over to check on him, and Jesse, who hadn't even acknowledged it yet, was running in circles laughing and holding Lukas's journal.
"Ooh! That's gotta hurt. Poor Lukas." Olivia said as she put one hand across her mouth. Axel nodded hastily and grabbed Olivia's hands tightly and turning her to him.
"I should really check on Lu -" She began, but Axel shushed her.
"Later. After I say what I want to say." He argued, and Olivia leaned in to listen. Finally.
"Liv, will you m -" He began, but was cut off by some screaming.
"Whee!" Soren cried out as he ran towards the water, shirtless, with a ducky tube, as Ivor chased him from behind.
"The potion effects have gone wrong! Somebody stop that blasted crazy man!" He yelled.
"I've got the journal!" Jesse sang, twirling around to read the pages.
"Lukas, get up! We need to go to the hospital!" Petra shrieked at the blonde.
"Ow! My ankle!" Lukas cried out.
"Whee!" Soren screamed as he ran away from Ivor, who was trampling in the ocean water to reach the... Mentally crazy man. Axel huffed as Olivia stood up to calm everyone.
"Ugh! Come on!" He yelled as he stomped away with the box tight around his fingers.
Axel walked towards the hospital of Beacon Town. Olivia had told him she would meet him there. They saw Petra and Olivia coming out. From the sight of Olivia, Axel started to blush.
"So, how's Lukas?" Axel asked. Actually, that twisted ankle and the floor to the chin sounded pretty painful. Petra shook her head and shrugged.
"First of all, he's got a fractured chin and elbow, so he's gonna stay at the hospital a little longer. Second, Jesse is really sorry that he caused this, and third..." Petra looked back and forth between Axel and Olivia. Now he wished he hadn't blushed.
"I'll give you two some privacy." Petra ended smirking, and running off. Soon it was just Olivia and Axel.
"Sorry for all those... Interruptions earlier. I think you were trying to say something important." Olivia said, and Axel sighed with pleasure at her sweet voice. Mentally, of course. Taking a deep breath, he fished the little box out of his back pocket, and kneeled in front of her, making Olivia gasp. Axel opened the box carefully to reveal a diamond embedded ring.
"Liv, will you marry m -" Axel blurted, but before he could finish his sentence, Olivia catapulted towards him and threw her arms around his waist.
"I'd love to!" She squealed and pushed her head into Axel's chest. Then they kissed. The Sun was setting. Everything was perfect... Well, almost.
"Haha, got you guys smooching!" Jesse yelled as he ran away with a camera strapped to his neck.
"Hey!" Axel and Olivia cried out in unison as they pulled away. They smiled and looked at each other with mischievous looks in their eyes.
"You ready?" Axel asked her, and Olivia nodded.
"As ready as I'll ever be." She replied, her eyes flashing with determination. Then with a deep breath, she cried out, "Stop that pervert!" And the both ran after Jesse.
Together.
