         "Oof!" Jesse fell to the floor, or surface with a grunt. She heard a few more shrieks and cries, and felt a few people fall on top of her.

"Sorry!" A femine voice spoke, as somebody quickly scrambled off her, knocking somebody off.

"Ow, Petra! That's my head!" A male voice said, on top of Jesse.

"Can you guys just please get off me?" Jesse pleaded, and she felt the weight slip off her.

"Have we ever gotten a soft landing during Portal Hopping?" Lukas asked his friends, a tingle of agitation in his voice.

"Nope." Ivor and Petra said in unison while Jesse carefully looked around. They were in some kind of... Forest? Woods? What kind of biome was it? Walls surrounded them completely. She was too confused. Just then, a door, or an opening slid away, and a man with a beard and two guards escorting him. Jesse's friends, now alert, turned to the three, Jesse was backing off.

"New recruits, ain't it?" The man said in an odd accent. Jesse frowned - Whatever was about to happen, she didn't like it.

"Um... What's going on here?" Lukas asked carefully, but the man only laughed. For some reason, this man reminded him a lot of Hadrian.

"No questions, young player!"

"Player? What player? Is this some sort of crazy game?" Jesse asked, and Petra groaned.

"Oh, not that all over again." She moaned as she put her head in her hands, but the man nodded.

"Get ready! Set, go!" He said as he somehow teleported away, leaving purple particles floating about. Jesse looked around cautiously as the walls that were surrounding them earlier started to lower inch by inch, a metalic sound that reminded Jesse of a spinning wheel.

"Is this the hunger games, or what?" Lukas grumbled as he reached for his sword, but only grasped for thin air.

"What? Where are our weapons?" Ivor said as he looked at Jesse with wide eyes. Jesse checked - Her diamond sword wasn't there, either. The walls soon came to a stop, only an inch out of the dirt. She spotted chests at her right, one in front of Lukas, two inside a river.

"Guys! Let's loot these chests!" Jesse suggested as she ran over to one. Lukas shrugged as he approached a different one and placed his gloved hand on it.

"Is it a trap?" He asked, but as Jesse opened the chest and only saw some sticks, an apple, and a name tag, she shook her head.

"Only useless stuff." She remarked as she took the sticks and the apple just in case. Lukas fished out a wooden sword and some string from his. For a second, Jesse envied him as Lukas swung it and took it in his right hand.

"Cool!" Petra exclaimed as she reached inside her occupied chest and pulled out an iron ingot and lapis. Jesse cocked her head.

"Why is lapis cool?" She asked Petra, but she only smiled.

"Remember you said lapis isn't so bad back at Endercon when Ivor scammed us out on a diamond? I'm trying to take that in." Petra teased.

"Hmph." Ivor grunted when he heard this, and took a carrot and string. "We could craft a bow out of this." Lukas nodded in agreement. Jesse looked around, and held her breath when she thought she saw somebody run through the trees not too far away. Noticing Jesse's behavior, Lukas walked over to her.

"You okay, Jesse?" He asked, and Jesse nodded quickly.

"I'm fine." She replied, trying to forget what clung onto her mind for a second. "Let's make a crafting table. I'm thinking this is another sort of game, maybe a survival game or something?" Jesse suggested, and Petra shuddered.

"I just hope that these things have respawning stuff too, if we did get killed here... Ugh." The redhead grunted in disgust. Jesse gathered up enough wood from all of them, and was able to make a crafting table.

"Okay, let's see what we have to do..." Jesse muttered as she took the sticks and string from Ivor, and put each three of them together. Soon, a bow was created.

"Done! Who's the best at aiming here?" Jesse called out, and everybody immediately pointed to Lukas except himself, who was pointing at Ivor. Lukas's face blushed red in embarrassment.

"What, no! I'm bad with bows and arrows!" Lukas cried out, but Petra took the bow from Jesse in shoved it into Lukas's chest, making him stumble.

"You do what we say." Petra spoke with her teeth clenched. Already knowing how feisty the redhead could get, Lukas gulped and nodded. He handed Jesse his wooden sword he had found earlier.

"You take it, Jesse." Lukas spoke softly and walked away. Jesse didn't know why, but she started to blush.

         "I didn't know there would be other people!" Petra cried out as she slashed at a player. Lukas grunted as he let go of the string for his bow, making an arrow fly and hit another man they didn't know square in the neck.

"You think?" Lukas called out sarcastically. Jesse swung her stone sword she had found heavily at a girl wearing pink clothing and a pinkish bow on the back of her head. She looked scared as well.

"Who are you?" Jesse asked as she kept fighting the girl. The pink girl slashed back, scraping Jesse's armor a little bit.

"I'm Jen!" She cried out. "Pat!" She called as she looked to her left while fighting. Another player, wearing black and grey metal armor turned to her. His face didn't show, none of his skin did. His eyes were glowing blue, and he was fighting Ivor and Lukas.

"I've got them, Jen! Run!" He cried out as he slashed at Ivor a little, making him yelp. Jesse groaned.

"Where are we? And why are fighting?" Jesse yelled as she turned in circles with Jen.

"I don't know!" She said. "Let's be friends!"

"Okay!" Jesse replied loudly as she looked at Ivor backing away, leaving 'Pat' with Lukas. Seemed like Pat was a pretty good fighter. She turned back to Jen and stared at her.

"Can we stop spinning now?" Jen called out, and Jesse immediately stopped. She looked around awkwardly. Petra stood there, looking at Pat and Lukas battle. With a swift swing of his iron sword, Pat hit Lukas by the side just before Jen ran up to him and told him it was a truce.

"Lukas!" Jesse called out as she helped Lukas off the grass. Not too much, but blood dripped from the wound. Pat stepped away.

"I am so sorry, er..." He said as he looked at Jesse at the crew.

"I'm Jesse, that's Lukas, Ivor and Petra." Jesse said, but she was confused when she heard Pat and Jen gasp.

"Wait... From Minecraft Story Mode...?" Jen asked, but Pat only stared at Petra, then Ivor, then Lukas, lastly Jesse.

"Uh... Minecraft Story Mode?" She asked. She had never heard of such a thing. Only the Maker would know. Jen started to jump and fan herself like a fangirl, and Pat just stood there gaping.

"I actually met them!" The both squealed in unison, and ran off. Jesse looked at Petra, who shrugged.

"What just happened?" Lukas asked as he looked at Jesse. She shook her head and tried to change the subject.

"You okay? Pat got you good there." Jesse asked, but he shook his head, told her he was okay. So they continued walking through the forest, but Jesse stood right next to Lukas the whole time.

This place was weird.
