Black Tattoos and Zombie Heads - Raddie
She flipped her bangs out of her face and grinned. The vaguely maniacal smile cast a light in her green eyes as she readjusted the feathery bracelets and leapt back into the battle.
The zombies groaned and swung around to face her as she powered back into the fight. She raised a fist and slammed it into one of their ugly green faces, laughing as it fell back a step and flashed red. She spun around, kicking, punching, knocking the zombies to the floor. Their rotting flesh fell to the ground around her, seeming for all the world like a glorious scene of war. The only thing missing was her chainsaw.
The wave was ending soon, and nobody had come and tried to steal her flesh yet, so Maddie quickly picked it all up and sighed as she sorted through her inventory. At some point, she had picked up a zombie's head. When did that happen? she wondered. She fit the zombie's head over her own and looked out through the eye holes. It smelled disgusting.
Maddie pocketed the head and looked toward the entrance as she noticed some of the guards talking. "A small band of prisoners coming down here?" she commented, a sly grin growing on her face. Anyone paying attention to her would likely have backed away in fear by that point.
She toned down her grin as the newcomers came down the stairs and into the zombie farm. Their leader, brown hair, greenish eyes, and a sense of power. Jaiden, right? No, no, Jesse. He was saying something to his teammates about... Prisoner X? Huh. Crazy.
A villager with a green hat walked behind Jesse, next to some old guy with an eyepatch and orange hair. They seemed like they knew what they were doing, to some extent. Former adventurers, maybe.
Jesse's sister was there, too. Nikki, maybe? She bobbed along happily, talking in rapid-fire bursts as her brown ponytail swung back and forth with her high steps.
Maddie's grin slowly reappeared. The last person in the group was the one who drew her attention. His black hair seemed to frizz all over the place, getting in the way of his glasses. A similarly dark tattoo wrapped around his skinny arms.
She didn't quite understand it, but this last member of Jesse's gang gave her a feeling. This was not the last time she'd see him, and that feeling rumbled in the back corners of her mind while she pushed off of the wall and came to introduce herself to the new kids.
This is gonna be fun.
