Easier Escape
Chapter 5
Angie rubs her back a bit.
Maybe she's in a hurry. Who am I to judge?
She walks down the aisle to search for any available showers to change in.
When she finally finds one, Angie quickly walks inside and closes the curtain.
She leaves her uniform pants folded on floor as well as her shirt.
Leaving the p.e shirt on the shower hook, she quickly slips her shorts on.
She hadn't noticed a hand slide under the curtain to grab her uniform clothes.
She did however, a few seconds later when she doesn't notice them on the ground.
You have got to be kidding me!
Angie opens the curtain violently causing it to get stuck mid slide.
She walks out to see that big girl who shoved her into the wall, stretch her uniform shirt as if trying to tear it in half.
She immediately stomps over and tries reaching for it but slips on her pants that were left on the ground.
She picks her pants up and says, "May I please have my shirt back?"
The girl grins at the other girl at her side and looks back at Angie with a glare.
"I don't know. You're not going to use it right now, are you?" The girl stretches the shirt more.
"Well right after this class-" Angie starts.
"But not right now right?" The girl interrupts.
"That still doesn't give you the right to steal and harass my shirt!" Angie reaches for it again, but the girl swirls around and steps behind Angie.
"Beg and maybe I'll give it back," the girl demands.
This girl has issues!
Angie thinks. She looks around to see if anyone can help, but there were just bystanders waiting for her next move.
Just as she is about to open her mouth, a familiar voice makes her heart jump with joy.
"Begging won't be necessary. Not to you!" Petra, already dressed, marches right up to the girl and snatches the shirt away from her hold.
"Well if it isn't Petra the crybaby," the girl teases.
Petra ignores her and hands Angie her shirt back.
Jess arrives to the scene and gives a death glare at the bully.
"Petra isn't a crybaby, but may I say you look twice as big since the last time I saw you," Jess casually mentions.
The girl gasps and growls at Jess in rage.
Jess waits for anything else that she might do since she's unpredictable.
Nothing comes, so the girl walks out of the showers with her soldiers behind her.
The bystanders stared at Jess for a second and then got back to murmur about the bully.
Jess and Petra sigh in relief and apologize to Angie.
Shocked she says,"You have absolutely nothing to apologize for! It was my fault-"
Petra looks at Angie and responds with,"Don't say that. Don't ever say that. I made the same mistake already."
Petra walks away leaving Jess with Angie.
Angie glances at Jess with a worried look.
"Did I do anything wrong? What did she mean by that?"
Jess just shakes her head and helps her up.
"It's personal, but I'll tell you when you're ready."
Angie puts her uniform in her locker while pondering about Petra and Jess's responses.
When I'm ready, huh.
She shuts the locker close and turns the knob a few times to lock it.
She meets Jess and Petra outside who were talking amongst themselves until Angie came. They shut up and motioned her to follow.
"We're having class in the air conditioned gym today!" Jess says eagerly but then hesitates.
Petra, as if reading her thoughts, says,"To bad we can't run inside the gym. It's better out here on the track."
Jess nods as they all enter the gym.
