Chapter 6

Once the girls walked in, the teacher was walking back and forth in front of the class, taking role.

Petra, Angie, and Jess quickly sat in their spots hoping not to be noticed.
That was impossible though.

The teacher raised his head to look at everyone and says, "Those of  you who came in late, raise your hands."

After he marked everyone down he announced the the swimming pools were now open. Although the teacher who was in charge will not allow any clothing.

"Girls, bring your bathing suits and boys bring your...swimming gear," the teacher mentions.

Petra cringed at the thought of wearing a bathing suit and showing skin.
Jess was neutral so she didn't think much of it.
Angie was a bit shy though. She'd rather wear shorts.

Jesse, Lukas, and Andy thought what kind of swimming gear?
Then they gave each other a look.

After doing many exercises, the teacher dismissed everyone with the condition that they all play a sport, swim, run the track, or anything else other than just sitting down.

Or else you receive an F!

Jess walked through a small hallway that connected the gym to the exit to outside.
Once she opens the door to exit, hot air hits her in the face like the death of a favorite fictional character to the heart.

She closes the door and gasps.
"It's so hot outside. I could faint if I run now. Plus, I forgot my frozen water bottle on the kitchen table!"

Jess sighs.
How could she forget something so essential at a time like this?
Next time she'll make Jesse remind her.

Speaking of which, Jesse taps Jess on the shoulder.
"I'm guessing you're not running today? It's super hot outside," Jesse utters.
"It is! I'm stuck here now," Jess runs her fingers down her face.
"Lighten up. We can play something in here too. There's a lot of sports."
"But little room. I'd rather go swimming."

The siblings are interrupted by a voice at the end of the hall.
"Sorry if I'm interrupting something, but we need more players."

Jesse looks at Jess and raises an eyebrow.
She groans and follows them to the court.

P.E was over quickly and everyone was to go and change back into their uniforms.
No one really liked the schedule of having P.e before two more classes.
They'll be sweaty for the rest of the day.

Everyone entered 5th period quietly since the teacher was strict.
After taking attendance, the teacher says, "Did your period one teacher mention something about changes?"

Everyone looks at each other in confusion hoping it isn't something bad.
Noticing this, the teacher fixes her glasses and chuckles quietly.
"Some of you will be shuffled into different classes. About 5 of you...I think."

Everyone starts whispering about their guesses of who's leaving.
After a few seconds, the tardy bell rings and class starts.

"Pairing up is important for this occasion! Now hurry and pick someone," the teacher waves her hand.

Angie and Petra simultaneously walk up to Jesse but pause when they make eye contact.
They both feel awkward and bad.
The same thing happens with Jess.

Jess walks up to Jesse and places a hand on his shoulder.
"How about this? I'll be with my bro and Angie can be with Lukas and Andy with Petra. Problem solved!"

Everyone agrees and sit down in their pairs in front of a computer.
"You'll all do a PowerPoint about...ROMANCE!" The teacher dramatically sighs dreamily.

Everyone groans and laughs.
"Further instructions are on the website," and with that, the teacher goes to her desk.
