Embarrassment

It was normal that Genji would constantly embarrass Hanzo. They were brothers, it was natural.
However, it was not normal that Genji would only embarrass Hanzo when McCree was around to witness it.
Well, it wasn't normal to those who didn't know about Hanzo's feelings towards McCree.
It started out as harmless joking, nothing more than Genji tripping Hanzo when Jesse walked past.
It slowly escalated when the younger Shimada sent Jesse a video of a drunk Hanzo saying embarrassing things such as, "Shut that camera the fuck off, Gengo" or, "Ryū ga waga take you out to dinner".
Jesse, of course, loved every moment of this. It was endlessly entertaining to see the usually stoic and impassive man swearing like a sailor and crying over a cute dog.
"Just look at his eyes, brother! Look at them!" he had shouted through strangled sobs.
The owner of the aforementioned dog was not happy when Hanzo had tried to steal the small Shiba Inu, but McCree found it hysterical.
Hanzo was completely and utterly pissed off in the morning, his hangover only making things worse.
To 'atone for his sins' as the older Shimada had put it, Genji begrudgingly waited on his brother hand and foot for the day, putting up with his inane drivel.
"Genji, being in love makes me say and think such corny shit and it makes me want to vomit."
"Genji, is there a way to passive-aggressively say 'fuck you' in flowers?"
"Genji, do snakes have feelings?"
Hanzo was a very different person when he was drunk or hungover.
Although Hanzo would hate him for it when he eventually found out (as he always did), Genji was sending every embarrassing thing Hanzo said to, you guessed it, McCree.
What the younger Shimada didn't realise, was that Jesse now knew Hanzo was in love. Who he was in love with was a different matter, but he was in love all the same.
After a few hours of being Hanzo's servant, Genji managed to get away from his brother's room only to collide with McCree on the way out.
"Oh! There ya are, Genji. I was jus' comin' to talk to ya," said the cowboy.
"We can talk in my room. Is it important?" Genji asked in response.
Jesse thought for a few seconds before replying with, "Sorta. I'll explain when we get there."
They arrived at Genji's room and, as soon as the door was shut, McCree started to ramble.
"So, ya keep sendin' me pictures an' videos of yer brother doin' embarrassin' things. I ain't complainin', but you ain't sendin' 'em to anyone else. I asked, an' only Sombra had seen 'em, but that's cause she sees everythin' anyone texts. Earlier, you were textin' me some things he said an' he said he was in love. It all adds up, so-"
"Jesse, kindly shut up for a minute," Genji said, stopping Jesse talking, "I don't care about the details. I've had to be Hanzo's servant all day and I do not have time."
"Okay, well, uh... Does Hanzo like me? As in, like me?" Jesse asked.
Genji choked on air before regaining his composure and replying, "...Yes, but you can't tell him I told you. He already killed me once, it's not an event I want to happen again."
Jesse nodded eagerly and ran off without a word, presumably back to his own room.

.—•—.

It had been 3 weeks since Jesse had found out about Hanzo's feelings towards him.
3 weeks, and the only thing that had changed was how Jesse acted around the older Shimada.
The cowboy could control his feelings when he knew - or thought he knew - Hanzo saw him only as a friend. Once he found that thought to be untrue, he frequently found himself acting timid and somewhat scared around the archer.
McCree was sat by the window in his room, contemplating with a grave look on his face when he finally decided what he was going to do about the situation.
He would find Hanzo.
He would take one of the archer's ashen hands in his.
He would look into his beautiful eyes and say in a hushed tone, "Be mine?"
Hanzo would be surprised at his bluntness, but would quickly become flustered and accept the cowboy's feelings.
Jesse realised he was daydreaming and reluctantly pulled himself away from his ideal world.
He pushed himself out of his chair and walked to his door, exiting it quickly and making his way to Hanzo's room.
Second thoughts slowly crept into the cowboy's mind, distracting him from his objective.
"No. I can do this. I just gotta knock on his door a few times. He'll come out, we'll talk, an' he'll accept me. I hope," he thought solemnly.
After taking a deep breath, McCree knocked on Hanzo's door. In all honesty, he was petrified, but you would never hear him admit it.
A few moments passed and Hanzo opened the door, silky hair cascading over his shoulders. He wore a plain black t-shirt and baggy sweatpants in the same colour.
"What is it you need at such a late hour? I was about to go to bed," said Hanzo, slightly disgruntled.
Jesse was taken aback by his harsh tone and quickly replied with, "Oh, is this a bad time? S-sorry, I'll come back tomorrow. Sorry for wastin' yer time."
The archer sighed and shook his head, leaning against the doorframe. Jesse swore he saw a slight tinge of pink dusted across his face.
"No, it is alright. Come in," Hanzo said, moving aside to let McCree in.
He complied and stepped into the immaculate room, admiring the cleanliness of it.
Jesse sat on the small couch and Hanzo sat next to him. They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments before Hanzo asked, "So, what is it you wanted to discuss?"
"Oh, uh, well..." McCree trailed off.
"You seem nervous. Tell me when you are ready," Hanzo said comfortingly. Jesse noticed the melody in Hanzo's voice and the tiny specks of colour in his eyes when he turned to look at him expectantly.
"Alright... Well, I'm gonna start off with a question," Jesse said after a couple of minutes filled with silence.
"Go ahead," Hanzo replied with a smile. Maybe he had just imagined it, but Jesse swore he saw something more than friendly care on his face for a moment.
"Have ya ever thought about someone and been sad cause they ain't with ya right then an' there?" he asked.
"...I have. Why?" Hanzo replied.
Jesse looked at Hanzo with the most compelling eyes the archer had ever seen in his life before saying, "That's how I feel whenever I think about you."
Hanzo sat in stunned silence for a few seconds before wrapping McCree in a tight hug. He pulled away slightly, his arms still around the cowboy's shoulders, and rested his forehead on Jesse's.
They gazed lovingly into each other's eyes and McCree slowly pressed his lips to Hanzo's.
They stayed like that for a while, slowly kissing before Jesse broke the silence.
"Genji told me ya like me," he said, his lips brushing against Hanzo's.
"Bastard," Hanzo replied, chuckling quietly. He rested his head on Jesse's chest and soon dozed off, Jesse following suit.
They both woke up to Genji screaming about how cute they looked together, Hanzo being slightly worried as to why Genji was in his room in the first place.
