Hanzo's P.O.V
I was awoken by the sound of someone knocking on my door,
"One minute!" I told whoever it was and they stopped banging on the door. I quickly put on my kimono and opened the door expecting to see Jesse however this was not the case, Genji.
"Good morning brother." I said to him as cheerfully as I could, I had no response.
"Genii, are you alright?" I worried over him,
"What did McCree do to you Hanzo?" He said finally. I was sat there dumbstruck staring at the cyborg.
"W...Well for one he puts the lives of overwatch members and civ-" Genji put his hand over my mouth,
"No! What did he do to you?" I pondered the question for a few seconds before saying,
"Jesse McCree is a stupid fool, he thinks only if himself and is way too comfortable around me." I stared at his green visor as I told him,
"Brother, last night he told me everything you said to him, he was distraught Hanzo!" Genji scolded me as he stared back into my eyes.
"Come on Genji, he's pathetic, he broke down when he heard the truth!" I retaliated.
"Apologise." He whispered
"What?!"
"APOLOGISE!!" He yelled, ever since Genji was found by Overwatch, he and McCree had been incredibly close friends, McCree had been more of a brother to him than I had which was secretly the reason why I hated McCree. Jealousy.
"Hanzo, you don't hate him for how he acts around you do you? You hate him for another reason, please tell me what it is!" Genji knew me too well, I could never hate someone for just being goofy and confident. I let out a sigh and sat on the bed next to Genji.
"Ever since you were found by Overwatch you two have been best friends. Like brothers..." I felt my eyes beginning to sting but I just let myself cry, I needed to otherwise if I didn't I would explode. Genji put his arm around me and pulled me into a hug, where I cried into his shoulder even more, I only let myself look so pathetic in front of him because he knows that I need to let it out, I hope anyway.
"Brother, why didn't you tell me that you felt like this?" He whispered gently
"I was........ a..afraid of how you would react..." Pushing those words out of my mouth was extremely difficult but I let them flow to add to my breakdown.
"Brother, you can talk to me, I am here for you, I would understand." He pulled me deeper into the hug and I heard his voice grow shaky. Dammit now I've made him cry too, anyone else?
A knock at the door caused both of us to jump out if the embrace,
"Hey Genji, umm, uh... y'all in there?" His voice was laced with fear as he spoke,
"If ya are, can ya come out here for a sec, ah need to talk to ya..." he sounded so, so sad.
"I am in here McCree, give us a minute and I will be with you." He replied trying to hide the tears that dropped into his words.
"A...aight" I heard him walk a few steps away and I regretted ever doing anything to wrong the man, I decided to go after him. I got up from the bed, looked back at Genji and he nodded in approval. I heard him turn the corner and I followed him waiting for him to stop, he went up to the roof and from there I heard him begin talking to himself,
"Ah well ah may as well keep this short an' sweet for ya then, I'm doing this 'cuz ah just can't stand the pain anymore..."
