Welcome Home. (Aarmau)

Author's notes:

This one takes place in Minecraft Diaries, before Aphmau, Katelyn, and Garroth go off too Okassis. A friend of mine ships Aarmau so hard, so this one goes out to her.

Aphmau's P.O.V.

Ivy came back yesterday. Her words still ring in my ears. Did someone you care for die? HAHAHAHAH! I miss Aaron so much. It feels like when the portal blew up, a crater the size of the explosion formed in my heart. I don't know what to do with myself anymore. After hearing what Garroth said, and what I told him, I just feel like letting go isn't what's wright. I remember what Aaron wrote on his note;

Don't worry about me. I don't do this for revenge. My death was not wasted on a horrible man, but a good one.

You are an amazing lord, without anyone's guidance. As lords, we need to smile through the darkness, to guide those who follow us. Mourning over my death, will bring nothing but pain to those around you. It's, hard. But...if you can't find a way to smile for your people, then at least smile for me.

I'll always be with you.

This was true. Aaron will always be with me, and I do have to smile for my people, and for him as well. Even what I told Garroth was true. I just...can't seem to let go yet. I put on a show so that the others thought I had, but I haven't. Aaron's note did give me enough strength to get through the day, but it would still be years before I would get over this. Mabey I should go talk to him. It was late, and talking to him, or more accurately, his spirit, as somethibg I had been doing. It helped. I walk down to where the portal used to be. I sit on the edge of the crater left behind.

"This place seems to have been cursed the second Zane set foot here," I told Aaron. Even if he couldn't really hear me, I could pretend. "Only bad things have taken place here since that day. The Irene dimension, Zoey losing her immortality, Ivy, and you..." Tears form in my eyes, as they have for the past few weeks. I see a light out of the corner of my eye. I look towards it, to see something shimmering in the moonlight. I slowly make my way towards it. It's a belt buckle by the looks of it. I look around some more. I spot a peice of black fabric. Then another, and another. It looked almost like a trail. I followed the fabric until I found something that made my heat stop beating. A body layed with torn up pants, a ripped sweater, no shirt, and was covered in purple stuff.

"A-Aaron? H-How?" He looked at me.

"Aphmau?" I ran to his side.

"Aphmau...help...please," he whispered.

"I will Aaron, I will. Just hold still." I prayed to Irene that my powers would work, and held my hands up over him. A bright light came, and Aaron was healed.

Aaron's P.O.V.

Aphmau was overjoyed to see me again. She wraped me in a hug so tight, I couldn't breath! I don't blame her though. When you see someone you thought was dead, it makes you a little excited. "Don't you ever do that to me again!" was the first thing that came out of her mouth. The second thing was, "Why did you tell me you were dead if you weren't?!"

How do I explaine this to her? "Aphmau, I didn't think I would survive. Even if I did, the darkness that had spread on me would've corrupted me before I even got back! I didn't want you to watch me die, so I made sure you wouldnt. After I charged up the amulet that made the explosion, I pressed it against Zane as it went off, and ran. The explosion hit me, but not too badly. So I just waited here. It-" I was about to say more, but a pair of lips against mine cut me off. Aphmau, had kissed me. Of course I kissed back, and this time, it wasn't while she was asleep! Yup, it's great to be alive!

After the kiss, Aphmau and I walked back to Phoenix Drop. She insisted that I keep an arm around her so she knew I was there. I figured I'd save myself the headache of arguing and obeyed. We walked slow because Aphmau was drained from healing me. By the time we got back, the sun was rising. A young man was at the gate. It wasn't anyone I knew. Aphmau knew this person, but I didn't. "Hey Apple! Why are you out so late? You alright?" asked the man.

"Kyle, I'm better than alright. You remember Aaron, don't you?" Said Aph. So that was his name, Kyle.

"He's the one that died saving Garroth. Why?"

"Well, this is him." Aphmau briefly explained what happened as Kyle opened the gate. "That's...amazing! Aphmau I'm so happy for you! Both of you! I'm going to go tell Alexis so she can help me spread the word. You two should rest here."

Kyle ran off towards the little settlement. I sat Aph down. She was still pretty drained. I sat next to her, and she put her head on my shoulder. We just stayed there for a while until Kyle came back the whole of Pheonix Drop! They all seemed happy to see me. This came as a shock. Okay, with the Mif'wa child, I can understand it. She's been obsessed with me since I saved her, and I guess her parents are most likely grateful, but they really didn't know me, so why should they care? I guess Aphmau noticed my confused expression, because she whispered in my ear, "You're new family is happy to see you." At first, I didn't quite understand what she meant, but I slowly peices it together. Everyone in Pheonix Drop is like one big family, and I am now a part of it. As we both stood up, Aph said to me, "Welcome home, Aaron."

Wow this one was long! Hope you guys liked it! I personally don't like Aaron so it was a bit hard for me to wright, but at least I got it done! Remember to tell me who you ship, or I'm just gonna keep picking random ships.
