"Hey, (Y/N)," Gene coughed. You looked up from your phone, letting your (H/C) locks fall across your face. The afternoon was coming to an end, and you knew exactly what he was getting your attention for.

"Fine, fine. Why can't you just let the kid realize he's not welcome?" You questioned, putting one hand on your hip and using the other to press the power button of your phone, turning the screen dark.

"Don't you think I try? Zane is hard to shake loose," Gene grunted, "Your role as the newest member is to do our job for us. Now," he rubbed his hands together, "crush his soul."

You smirked, "Easy."

"That'a girl," Gene said, and you saw Sasha winked unnoticeably at you from behind her silver hair, yet Zenix had his arms crossed as if he were jealous of the fun you would be having. He knew not to mess with Gene's requests, for he knew where it would get him.

"I'll make him crack just as much as Zenix's phone screen is," you remarked, chuckling darkly to yourself when you saw red flood Zenix's face. You could see the blood leaving his fists as he clenched them as hard as he could.

The next day when you arrived at Phoenix Drop High, you sought out at the pubescent teenager. When you found him sitting in the shade, waiting for the bell, you went over to him and dropped your bag beside him. He immediately looked at you, not realizing who you were for a moment, "Hey! Don't you understand that I—"

"That you, what?" You scoffed, sitting against the brick wall on the other side of your backpack.

"Oh—uh—my bad! I didn't realize it was you, (Y/N)!"

"Yeah, yeah," you waved your hand at him, "Just shut up. What are you doing on your phone?"

"It's a game called Minecraft," he said, looking back down at his tilted phone, "I like to make really dark and disturbing things on there."

"Sounds stupid."

"Oh, yeah... It really is. I-I just do it when I'm bored," you saw him press the home button on his phone and toss it into his school bag. The bell rang at that moment and you stood up, not expecting him to follow you. You groaned internally, remembering that the two of you shared the same homeroom. Not to mention, the exact same schedule.

This was the day where you wanted to ditch every single class. But you couldn't. You couldn't return to the group's spot in the hallway until Zane was off of the Shadow Knights' backs.

You sat down in your usual seat on the back row. You sat through the class, forcing yourself to deal with Zane's occasional comment on anything and everything.

By fourth period, you had heard enough on how he regularly played cruel jokes on his brothers. You turned around, about ready to pull tufts of your own hair out. You cracked your knuckles, "Listen! If you're going to follow me everywhere, shut the hole on your face that you call a mouth before I make another one!"

Zane's face twitched with shock, but you didn't see what he did next before you turned your back on him again, strutting down the hallway, aware of his footsteps behind you. You walked down to the courtyard where the sports fields were located on the campus.

You took a seat on the bench by the soccer field, Zane sitting on your left. You took your own phone out and got on an app you kept secret, an app you wanted nobody to know you had. Especially not your fellow Knights.

"So..." Zane began. You look up and cast him a warning glance, but he continued anyway, "Has Gene said anything about me?"

"Yes," you answered, "He called you an annoying twat."

"Oh..." Zane trailed off, then piped back up with asking, "What do you think of me?"

"I think you're an annoying twat."

You watched smugly as Zane tried to search for something to say in response, shocked when he said, "It takes one to know one, doesn't it?"

You felt the heat creep up your neck to your face as you rose to your feet. You took a deep breath and hissed at him, "Listen, Knob Gobbler, I don't like you nor do I want to be around you."

"Then why are you, Adolf Titler?"

You called him a vulgar name under your breath, stomping away from where he stood and to the school gate where you sat against the iron bars. You hated it when someone challenged you in such a way.

Hello! This is Tara coming back with another short story!

The inspiration for this one came from researching episodes of PDH and drooling over how cute fetus Zane is.
