Ever since I was young, my parents were strictly against werewolves. My dad told me stories of how they almost killed their missing lord, Aphmau, multiple times, and nearly destroyed my mother's past village at least five times.
I never imagined that I would be living near one since I was young until he revealed his secret.
I thought he was normal. Average.
But, I was mistaken.
I remember the day in detail; I was going along with another rant about how I couldn't choose between Levin and Malachi, since I used to have a crush on them and all. And it just... came up.
"If either were werewolves, my parent's would die!!!" I sighed, squinting from the blinding sun.
"What do you have against werewolves?" He said, uneasy of his own words.
"My parents don't approve. I've actually never met one before... It goes to show how over-protective they were before they left."
"Well..." He drawed out. "You must know at least one werewolf. I'm sure of it."
He busted out laughing as I stood perplexed. I attempted to dismiss him after it got annoying, but he continued.
"WHAT!?" I finally yelled, my temper getting the best of me.
"HAHA!" He laughed, slapping his leg. "I'M a werewolf."
And with that, he was a werewolf, showing his ears sometimes just for proof. I'm not afraid of him, but I'm afraid that if we become something my parents will disapprove. hear
I knew at that point why I knew him as a child, but had no recollection of his face.
I look into the blue sky, continuing to wonder. What if he likes me back? What if he doesn't?
I tug at a flower patch, pulling out flowers one at a time and taking each petal off carefully, placing them in a heap of whites, pinks, and greens.
I hear footsteps in the distance as I turn to face the culprit. Of course, it's Yip.
"Hey Ally." He smirks, joining next to me. He sniffs the flowers with his powerful, musky scent lingering around me. Somehow, it sends a trigger through my body, somewhat calming me.
"What are you doing out here? Didn't Levin want you for training today?" He finally breaks the silence. I sigh.
"I finished early. I needed time away from guarding too; It's A LOT of work." I facepalm to show my "pain" and he laughs like a thousand songbirds.
"Yip." I begin, deciding I have talked about relationships to him without hearing out his own drama. "Do you like anyone? Like... 'Like like'?"
"W-What?" He stutters, his face flushing.
"Hm?" I question, tilting my head like a dog.
"Well..." He starts, breathing a deep breath. "There is this one gem that makes my heart flutter. She's funny, light-hearted and selfless. But, she doesn't like me back... She's seems to be into two other people."
"Who!!!" I exclaim, bouncing giddly. He rolls his eyes, fake locking his mouth. I cross my arms in anger as he laughs it off.
"Enough about me." He says. "What's up with your parents?"
"Nothing much... as always." I lean back into the grass, letting my wavy brownish pink hair fan into the grass. "Boring ol' Dale and Molly."
"Heh..." He mumbles, joining me. "Of course, my parents are all gooey over Mom being pregnant. Getting ready and stuff is stressing them out. Mom is expected to go into labor in a week actually..."
"REALLY??" I breathe, gasping for air. I jump off the ground, clapping my hands. I love babies.
"Yep. Which reminds me, I have to go milk some cows to be ready." He sighs, getting up and brushing himself off. "I gotta go. See you later, Ally."
"Bye!!!" I wave, watching him walk through the trees back to the village.
What I didn't know is that was the day I realized he liked me. Like liked me.
And I liked him back.

This is by me. Deal with it. Sorry it's short and sorry I'm keeping this A/N short.
