A/N Lena here! And just a warning, this is kinda sad and kinda not an x Reader since Laurence is still in love with Aphmau. Oh well. Now, go forth!

Laurence.

I've been in love with him for so many years, that I can't even count the exact number anymore. You know how when you see someone and gaze into their eyes, and your heart just skips a beat? Well, I've known that feeling all too well. Those eyes, those dazzling pale blue eyes that you could just stare into for years, centuries even. The only flaw was, that those eyes, weren't for me.

Aphmau.

He was in love with her the moment he saw her. Every time I'd see them together my rage sums up and my jealousy is on 100%. Why I haven't lashed out in all these years, will seem to remain a secret for a long time. This has happened so many times, that I've learned how to hide my true emotions.

Why? Why couldn't he realize that she's never gonna return his feelings?! She may be the lord of Phoenix Drop, but she is so oblivious to his feelings for her! She's never gonna notice how he stops and stares whenever she walks by! She's never gonna see the light in his eyes whenever he smiles! The only problem was, he had always seen through me as if I were invisible.

Me and Laurence were best friends ever since we were 5. I don't know how a friendship that has lasted for 16 years, could just split up in one day. It always confused me how people can be so cruel that something so important in our lives, they could just rip it apart in a second. And how they'd expect for a second chance like we have no such feelings. That they were the only ones hurt.

I was walking down the streets of Phoenix Drop, looking for Laurence. It was the day, the day I confess to him. It was around the end of his shift, and I had planned for us to go to the forest where no one would hear. I didn't want anyone to know other than him, because of the big chance that he would reject me, I didn't want anyone to spread the rumor into town.

Finally, I found Laurence talking to Dante outside the guard tower, he seemed to be deep in conversation but Dante noticed me walking towards them and pointed to me.

"Hey Y/N!" He said, with his joyful voice that I had admired. "I was just looking for you!"

"Really? I was looking for you too."

"Well, I have to tell you something, but I can't tell it here. Come with me." He proceeded to drag my arm into the forest quickly and tightly as he could, as we reached a clearing in the forest.

"God, Laurence. You almost pulled my arm out the socket!"

"Sorry, but I had something to tell you. Important. But you go first."

"I'm in love with you."

He looked frozen at that. He stared at me in shock, as it slowly turned into an expression of anger.

"I HAVE NEVER LOVED YOU AND I NEVER WILL!" My eyes began to water at his response.

"Oh no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, I'm so sorry." He kept apologizing but I didn't budge. The way he lashed out on me hurt me more than it should've. That was until he kissed me. And I kissed back. Until...

"Laurence?" Aphmau's voice called. Laurence was startled by this as I was confused.

"What's going on?" I asked softly, starting to regret kissing back.

"Y/N, me and Aphmau are dating now." My eyes widened in realization as I heard this. I proceeded to slap him, hard, as I went on FULL ON beast mode.

"THEN WHY THE HECK DID YOU KISS ME?!!" I didn't wait for him to answer. I stormed off back to Phoenix Drop and started packing my things. I couldn't bear seeing him again after what he just did. Or maybe, I couldn't bear to watch Aphmau and Laurence together if Aphmau does forgive him. Which, she probably would. And at that, I left to go to Tu'La.

And that's what happened. It's been a month since that incident, and I'm living in a medium sized house, in one of the villages in Tu'La.

Oh my Irene, why did I have to fall so hardly in love with him? Gosh, one day, I just hope I can be something else, other than invisible to him.
