Gene x Sasha // Shadow
↭↭↭↭
Hey, it's Aki here () and this is my first one-shot, and it's Gene x Sasha. Please do know that this is an Alternate Universe, and Gene might seem a bit different. *Sweat drop* All in all, I hope you will enjoy this, although it is a bit simple, heh! You should leave a comment whether you would like my one-shots to be more lemon-y or not, because I normally don't really write VERY lemon-y stuff. Anyways, if you do enjoy reading it, do leave a vote! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

The light Autumn's breeze blew across the park, swaying the leaves of the Chestnut trees and the short tufts of grass. Birds were out chirping amongst the branches, as it was still only half past eight in the morning. Autumnal leafs scattered across the stone path, swishing against the high boots of a white-haired girl.
With her black hood over her head, her long, silky white hair was unable to sway in sync with the grass and leafs. To keep her neck and chin warm, a black striped scarf was wrapped around her, and each time she let out a breath the scarf would turn warmer and warmer. The girl's twinkling purple eyes stared into her phone screen, not willing to look up at anything or anyone else that passed by.
Reaching inside her pocket, Sasha took out a pair of earbuds, and plugged them into her ears. She was listening to a playlist of her favorite songs on Spotify, and finally stood up from the bench to take a walk around the rest of the park. Fixing her phone into her pocket, she started pacing down the path, looking at nothing in particular apart from what was in front of her.
Sasha could hear kids playing in the playground, and wondered why they were not having breakfast instead of playing at this time of hour. Her being her and wanting to get away from children, she cut along the grass towards another path as a shortcut. She turned up the volume so all she could hear was the slight chirping of birds but mainly the lyrics of her Melanie Martinez songs.
Little did she know, she was being followed. Her boots clicked and clacked as she set them down on the path, and behind her was a tall boy with dark-brown hair that shook with the wind. His hands were tucked nice and snuggly inside his coat-pocket and he quickened his stride to try and catch up with Sasha, struggling as she had been walking at an unnaturally fast pace.
Unexpectedly, the purple-eyed girl turned around, causing her stalker to freeze in place, unsure of what he must do. He managed to lift the corner of his lips to indicate a small but friendly smile.
Sasha didn't know why Gene was following her, and weighed her scarf down a bit to reveal her rosy and warm lips.
"Gene, why are you following me...?" she asked, walking towards the boy she was talking to.
"I... I was coming towards your house to give you a gift, but I saw you enter here, so I cam-"
"What's this... 'Gift' ?"
"Ah. I'll give it to you now, I suppose."
Shuffling around his pocket, Gene retrieved his right hand, which gripped a small jewelry box. It seemed liked the ones that held a bracelet or a necklace in. It was something that Sasha wouldn't normally buy for herself.
Holding the box out to Sasha, Gene mumbled a little "Here, take it."
Reluctantly, Sasha took it out of Gene's hands. She had never known why Gene would always get her things, she took no interest whatsoever in Gene, and him doing this almost every week was sort of getting on her nerves. Lifting the top of the case up, it revealed that what was inside the box was a silver chained necklace, with a silver and golden sword attached to the bottom as a charm. To Sasha's surprise, she actually quite like it, and reached in the box to take the necklace out with her free hand.
The silver and golden sword charm glistened in the sunlight, and a reflection went onto Sasha's face. She pulled down her hood, and pushed her hair back to put the necklace on.
After she did, she mumbled a small "Thank you for this," to Gene.
He smiled, and complimented her on how nice it looked on her.
Sasha opened her arms as an invitation for a hug, which shocked Gene. Sasha isn't the type of girl that would just give hugs, not even if she had received something she really loved. Frozen in awe, Gene didn't move one muscle.
"Come on, I'm not going to wait all day for you," uttered Sasha, and she waved her hands for Gene to come and give her a hug.
Overcoming his shock, Gene smiled and stepped towards her for a hug.
Suddenly, it wasn't their arms or torsos that had met, it was their lips.
Sasha's warm, soft lips connected gently onto Gene's, which sent a cold chill down his spine, quickly to be replaced by a warm feeling. He could smell Sasha's perfume; it smelt like blossoms, and he got lost for a moment in what seemed like paradise. Gene smiled during their short but tender kiss, right before Sasha let go.
Throwing her scarf over her neck again, she winked at Gene, and smiled. The brown-haired boy was still in awe, and as he processed what he had just experienced, he couldn't help but notice that Sasha was already gone. Like she always was, gone. Gone, in the blink of an eye.
Gone, like a shadow.
