"I was the only other survivor of the Hale House fire. I don't remember much of that day but Peter helped me out of the house and he almost died getting me out and if he hadn't then I wouldn't be standing here right now. The main thing I remember seeing clear as day is Kate Argent being the one to set the fire. So next time you want to say that they had a reason for what they did remember that your sister who was very much human at the time almost died in that fire." I say glaring at Scott with my eyes glowing.

My phone dings with a text message from Jackson.

Jax
You still coming over?

Amy
If she's not there.

Jax
She's not.

Amy
Then yes I am.

I turn to look at Derek and away from my phone. "Will you drop me off at a friends?" I ask "Yeah. Let's go." Derek said and we get back in the car. I tell him the directions and have him stop on the side of the road a couple houses down from Jackson's. "Who lives here?" Scott asked looking at the house of a random person. "No idea. Don't follow me." I get out and shutting the door making my way towards Jackson's house. I walk to the door unlocking and opening it with the key that I have noticing his parents aren't home. "Jax!" I yell and he comes downstairs from his room. "Hey." He kisses me and I kiss back. "Everything okay?" Jackson asked "Just stuff going on with Scott. I really don't want to talk about it." I say and I kiss him again and we make our way upstairs to his room.

-time skip-

I'm working in the back room when I feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up like something is going to happen and I take an earbud out of my ear. "Hello? Is anybody working here? You gotta be kidding me." I hear Jackson say and I take my other earbud out of my ear and walk out of the back. "Jax? What can I help you find?" I ask and he turns around to face me. "Amy? I'm looking for The Notebook and I was trying to find someone to help me." Jax said and I try not to laugh at the movie title.  "The manager is supposed to be out here. I'm just in the back but I can help you." We walk towards where The Notebook would be and I see shoes sticking out at the end of shelves and I walk towards it. Jax follows me and we turn the corner and I see my boss laying on the floor dead with his throat cut. "Well damn. That's why he couldn't help you." I say and Jax backs into the ladder causing the lights to cut out. He stands back up and that's when I see the Alpha. Jackson turns around and pulls me down beside him behind a movie shelf when he sees the alpha. Jackson decided to peek out from the side of the shelf before turning back. "What the hell is going on?" Jackson whispers and that's when movies start to fall on top of us. The shelves start falling and I roll out of the way before the shelf pins me but Jackson gets pinned by his legs.

I flip my hair out of my face and I see the alpha climbs on top of the shelf moving up the shelf towards Jackson's neck to look where Derek got him with his claws. I growl at the alpha flashing my eyes at him. "Leave him alone." I say growling getting into the strike position. "Do you really think you can take me on? All by yourself?" The alpha asked "Let's find out." I say growling completely transforming not caring that I just revealed myself to Jackson. "You haven't changed at all, Little One." The alpha said and he climbs off of the shelf before going out the window and I hear Lydia scream. I feel tears of shock go down my face causing me to quickly wipe them off and pull the shelf off of Jackson. "Amy, what the hell was that?" Jackson asked "What do you mean, Jax?" I ask "Y-You're eyes were glowing, you growled and it wasn't human and you were talking to that thing like it was human." Jackson said "Jax, I think you hit your head. I found you trapped underneath the shelf when I heard the commotion from the back." I say "Yeah sure. Just lie to me." Jackson said

I'm leaving up against the door of the ambulance opposite Lydia and Jackson when Noah walks up with my mom. "Oh, baby. Are you okay?" Mom asked "Yeah, I'm fine. I was working in the back and didn't know anything happened until Jackson came in." I say looking her in the eyes and squeezed her hand to let her know there's more to the story. "Why the hell can't I just go home? I'm fine." Jackson said "I hear ya, but the EMT says you hit your head pretty hard. They just wanna make sure you don't have a concussion. Amelia, are you sure you're okay?" Noah asked "Yeah I'm sure. The EMTs have already cleared me." I say "What part of "I'm fine" are you having a problem grasping? Okay, I wanna go home." Jackson said and I roll my eyes a little. "And I understand that." Noah said

"No, you don't understand, which kind of blows my mind, since it should be a pretty basic concept to grasp for a minimum-wage rent-a-cop like you! Okay, now, I wanna go home!" Jackson yelled and I have to shut my eyes because I feel my eyes flicker. I open my eyes and push myself off of the ambulance door and walk towards Jackson shoving him against the side of the ambulance causing some of the other cops to come towards us to stop me but my mom and Noah stop them from doing anything to me. "Listen, Jackson. I need you to shut the fuck up because you're starting to give me a headache with all you're damn yelling." I say quietly. "Then you wanna tell me what the hell went on in there because I know I wasn't seeing things." Jackson said quietly and I stepped away from him.

"Amy?" Stiles asked as he got out of Noahs car. I spin around to face him. "Stiles." I say smiling and I move towards him hugging him as soon as I got to him. "Hey. Hey, are you okay?" Stiles asked pulling away from me grabbing my face in his hands checking me over. "Hey. Yeah, I'm fine. It was the Alpha. He killed my boss but didn't hurt me even though he had every chance to do it. He even talked to me, Stiles." I say quietly and he looked shocked. "I bet you $20 that they will end up together in a month." Noah said "Deal but I say a year." Mom said and I spin around to look at them and see them shake hands. "What?" Stiles asked and I turn back around to face him. "Our parents just bet that we will end up together in a month or a year." I say "What?!" Stiles asked and I laugh leaning my head down on his chest.

I feel multiple sets of eyes watching Stiles and I causing me to look up. "We're being watched." I say "Starting to get it?" I hear Derek ask and I spin around and I see him and my brother on top of the building. "What? What is it?" Stiles asked "Derek and Scott. On the roof." I say quietly turning away from the two of them and back to Stiles to not draw attention to them. "I get that he's killing people, but I don't get why. I mean, this isn't standard practice, right? We don't go out in the middle of the night murdering everyone, do we?" Scott asked "No. We're predators. We don't have to be killers." Derek said "Then why is he a killer?" Scott asked "That's what we're gonna find out. Mia, I know you can hear me." I slightly nod my head. "I want to know what he said to you." Derek said and they move out of sight.

"Stiles, can I come to yours tonight?" I ask "Yeah, let's go ask my dad and your mom." Stiles asked and we walk over to them. "Yes?" Mom asked when she saw us both standing there and Noah turned around to look at us. "We were wondering if you both were okay with me staying with Stiles tonight? I don't want to be alone and I have a feeling those two will be together and I do not want to be with them." I say slightly nodding towards Jackson and Lydia. "Yeah, of course." Mom said "You know I don't mind. We trust the two of you. Just don't burn my house down like you almost did last time." Noah said and Stiles and I laugh remembering when we tried to make breakfast and it didn't end well. "Yeah, we promise. My car is here so I can drive us to our house to get me clothes before going to y'all's." I say and they nod so Stiles and I go to my car and we go to my house to get me clothes and then drive to Stiles' house.

I park in the driveway and we get out and go in. We go up to Stiles' room and even though I brought myself clothes I steal one of Stiles' flannels from his dresser going to his bathroom changing into his flannel buttoning the flannel up and my sweatpants. I walk back out of his bathroom and jump on his bed and lay down beside him. "You sure you're okay?" Stiles asked as I cuddle up to him. "Yeah. I'm fine. Perfectly fine." I say drawing shapes on his chest to distract myself. Stiles grabs my hands causing me to look up at him. "You're not okay. I can tell. What did he say to you?" Stiles asked "He pushed the shelves over and I managed to roll out of the way so I didn't get pinned but Jackson did. The alpha climbed on top of the shelves and looked at where Derek dug his claws accidentally into Jackson's neck because of being shot. I told the alpha to leave Jackson alone and the alpha challenged me asking if I could take him on alone and then I said let's find out. Then he told me I hadn't changed. Stiles the alpha knows me personally. I'm scared because I don't know who he is." I say lying a little because I know exactly who the alpha is and he immediately hugs me pulling me closer to him. "Hey, hey. It's okay. I know I can't protect you from the alpha but talk to Derek about it and he can protect you." Stiles said and I look up at him. "You're right. Thanks Stiles." I say "I'm always right, but you're welcome." Stiles said and I play with my hair a little. "I'm thinking of cutting my hair. What do you think?" I ask looking at Stiles and he starts playing with my hair. "You should do it. But why are you randomly thinking of doing it now?" Stiles asked "When I rolled out of the way of getting pinned by the shelves I had to get my hair out of my face. So I want it shorter for whenever I have to fight the alpha." I say "That's a smart idea. You should do it." Stiles said "I'll end up doing it before going to Scott's parent teacher conferences tomorrow." I say and I lay my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat as I slowly fall asleep.

Jackson and I walk into Chemistry. I go to walk towards Isaac and sit beside him but Jackson grabs my hand and pulls me towards his empty table. Harris walks over to us as soon as we sit down. "Hey, Jackson, Amelia. If either of you need to leave early for any reason, you two let me know." Jackson and I nod. "Everyone, start reading chapter nine." Harris said "Are we ever going to talk about what happened last night?" Jackson asked quietly "Not right now and preferably not ever. You hit your head Jackson there's not much more there than that." I say quietly "I know what I saw and I didn't hit my head hard enough to make me see things like that." Jackson hissed "Miss McCall, do you happen to know where your brother is?" Harris asked "He's not here?" I look back at Stiles and he shrugs with a highlighter cap in his mouth. "No, I don't. Sorry, sir." I say and he nods.

"Mr. Stilinski. Try putting the highlighter down between paragraphs. It's chemistry, not a coloring book." Harris said and Stiles spits the cap in the air catching it. "Hey, Danny. Can I ask you a question?" Stiles asked "No." Danny said "Well, I'm going to anyway. Um, did Lydia show up in your homeroom today?" Stiles asked "No." Danny said "Can I ask you another question?" Stiles asked "Answer's still no." Danny said and I laugh quietly glancing over my shoulder at Stiles and Danny. "Does anyone know what happened to Lydia, Amy, and Jackson last night?" Stiles asked even though I already told him. "He wouldn't tell me." Danny said "But he's your best friend. One more question." Stiles said "What?" Danny asked annoyed. "Do you find me attractive?" Stiles asked and I put my head down laughing quietly. "What is it? Why are you laughing?" Jackson asked "Don't worry about it. It's nothing." I say

-time skip-

I get a text from Derek telling me to meet him in the boys locker room. I walk in the locker room passing a guy with a towel wrapped around his waist and he looks at me in shock but keeps walking. "Why do you want me to meet you here?" I ask Derek when I see him and he motions for me to be quiet. I see Jackson and I can tell he's scared of something but he hasn't noticed us yet. Jackson turns to face us and he instantly backs away from us and into the lockers behind him. "I don't know where Scott is." Jackson said "Jax, we're not here for Scott. We're here for you." I say "Why me? I didn't do anything." Jackson said "No, but you saw something, didn't you?" Derek asked walking up behind me. "No, I didn't... I didn't see anything." Jackson said glancing at me. "What was it, hmm? An animal? A mountain lion?" Derek asked "I didn't see anything. I swear. I'm not lying." Jackson said and I hear the blip in his heartbeat that's going crazy. "Then calm down and say it again." I say "Say what? That I'm not lying?" Jackson asked "Tell me that you didn't see anything. Slowly." Derek said "I didn't see anything. I'm not lying." Jackson said and I still heard the blip. "One more thing." Derek grabs Jackson's hair and pulls his head forwards to see his neck. "You should really get that checked out." He turns and walks away passed me. "Mia, you coming?" Derek asked "Yeah, in a minute." I say and he nods and walks out. "What the hell is going on Amy? First you're telling me I hit my head and that I was seeing things when I saw you have glowing eyes and fangs and now you're asking me if I saw anything." Jackson said "You need to stop asking questions Jackson." I say and turn around to walk out but Jackson grabs my arm. "Why won't you tell me? We tell each other everything." Jackson said "Well this is something that is none of your business." I say before pulling my arm out of his grip and walking out of the locker room.

-time skip-

Derek is doing pull ups on the door frame of the house and I'm sitting on the couch doing homework. He drops down to the floor and starts doing push ups and suddenly he stops. "Mia put your stuff in your bag. Now!" He said quietly and I do what he says and he rushes over to me. I quickly put my bag underneath the stairs hiding it and he grabs my arm and pulls me into a hiding spot. "What is going on?" I ask "I need you to stay here no matter what you see or hear. You and Scott look alike and Kates not stupid." Derek said and I growl. "Kate?" I ask "Stay." Derek said and that's when I hear someone kick the door open. "No one home?" One of the hunters asked "Oh, he's here." Anger courses through my body at her voice and I feel myself change struggling in Derek's grip. "He's just not feeling particularly hospitable." Kate said "Maybe he's out burying a bone in the backyard." The other hunter said and I stop struggling to look at Derek and he rolls his eyes.

"Really? A dog joke? We're going there, and that's the best you got? If you wanna provoke him, say something like, Too bad your sister 'bit it' before she had her first litter." I struggle in Derek's grip trying to get free. "Too bad she howled like a bitch when we cut her in half!" Kate exclaimed and Derek growled as he lets me go and I take the opportunity to throw one of the hunters against the wall knocking him out. I hear them move towards where Derek and I are so I move back into hiding so they don't see me. Derek runs and jumps grabbing on to the stairs to hold himself up on a dresser as he growls at them. Derek jumps across the stairs grabbing on to the door frame to kick the other hunter backwards knocking him out. I quietly make my way hiding behind the stairs so I can see what's going on. Kate pulls out an electric cattle prod with a click. Derek runs at her and she zaps him with the cattle prod.

Derek is groaning in pain and I shift about to attack Kate from where I'm crouched behind the stairs. "Don't, Mia." Derek said and it was barely audible so Kate couldn't understand him. "Wow. This one grew up in all the right places. I don't know whether to kill it or lick it." I hear the cattle prod zapping as Derek tries to get away from her. It takes everything in me to not run at her and slice my claws across her throat. Derek tries to get up with the help of the couch and he goes to attack her but she hits him with the cattle prod again causing him to roll away from her and I growl quietly. "Oh. 900,000 volts. You never were good with electricity, were you? Or fire." She laughs and I growl making her look up and I quickly but quietly move away from where I was. She ignores it and looks back down at Derek.

"Which is why I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. And, well, maybe we can help each other out. Yes, your sister was severed into pieces and used as bait to try to catch you. Unpleasant, and frankly, a little too Texas Chainsaw Massacre for my taste, but quite true. Now, here's the part that might really kick you in your balls. We didn't kill her. You think I'm lying?" Kate asked "Wouldn't be the first time." Derek said "Sweetie... Well, why don't you just listen to my heart and tell me if I am. Okay?" I start listening to her heart. "We... didn't... kill... your sister. Do you hear that? There's no blips or upticks. Just the steady beat of the cold, hard truth. Found bite marks on your sister's body, Derek. What do you think did that? A mountain lion?" She closes the cattle prod. "Why aren't we helping each other out? You might as well admit what you've been guessing all along, which is, the alpha killed your sister." I move quietly back to the end of the stairs and quietly grab my bag from its hiding spot before moving back to my hiding spot behind the stairs where Kate couldn't see me. "And all you have to do is tell us who he is, and we'll take care of it for you. Problem solved, everybody goes home happy. Unless, you don't know who he is either. Wow. Guess who just became totally useless?" Kate asked and she turned around and I saw her grab her gun. "Dere run!" I yell and he gets up running over to me grabbing my hand and we both run out of the front door jumping off the porch and into the woods. We get away from the house and we stop looking back towards the house. Derek pulls me into a hug. "Hey we're okay. We're away from her." Derek said "You have no idea how bad I wanted to slice her neck open with my claws Derek. I almost did then you told me to not do anything." I say

-time skip-

Mom and I are sitting in front of Harris but there is no Scott. "Where the hell are you? Get to the school now." Mom said leaving Scott a voicemail. "How about we get started?" Harris asked "Sure." Mom said "Lately both Amelia and Scott's minds have been somewhere else, as has Scott's body. But with what happened to Amelia yesterday coming from her that is understandable. Amelia doesn't need to actually have a conference so let's get onto Scott. Personally, I believe it might have to do with the home situation." Harris said "Oh, well, personally, I'm not sure what you mean by home situation." Mom said "Uh, specifically the lack of an authority figure." Harris said and I scoff knowing where this is going. "Yeah, I'm the authority figure, so..." Mom said "Sorry. Allow me to clarify. I mean the lack of a male authority figure." Harris said "Oh. Well, trust me, we're much better off without him in the picture." Mom said "Well, do the twins feel the same way?" Harris asked and I look at Mom who nods at me. "Yes, I do feel the same way. We're better off without the son of a bitch in our life." I say "And for Scott yes. I think so. I hope so." Mom said

We go talk to another teacher for me this time. "This conference is more for me to brag about Amelia." Mom looks at me and smiles. Amelia McCall. Wonderful girl, amazing grades. With her A.P. classes it has pushed her GPA to almost 5.0 tying her with another student, I would actually like to have her IQ tested. But I have noticed recently she has been acting out a lot more." My teacher said "What do you mean?" Mom asked "Her other teachers and I talk. They say that she cuts up in class with mostly Stiles Stilinski, Scott, Jackson Whittemore and ever so often Isaac Lahey. But never enough to warrant getting them in trouble." My teacher said "That is normal for her to do with them, but I will have a talk with her about cutting up in class." Mom said and the teacher smiled and nodded.

Mom and I walk out of the school and Mom calls Scott and I call Stiles. "Stiles. Thank god at least you know how to answer your damn phone." I say "Why? What's going on?" Stiles asked "Where the hell is my brother?" I ask "Today was Allison's birthday so they skipped school to spend the day together." Stiles said "Of course it's the huntress bitch. Thanks Mischief." I say hanging up. "What happened?" Mom asked "Allison. That's what happened." I say "Is that her parents?" Mom asked pointing to Chris and Victoria who were on the phone. "Yup." I say and we walk up the stairs to them. "Excuse me, you're not Allison's parents, are you? I'm Scott's mom and this is his sister, and I hate to say it, but he's not answering his phone either." Mom said "You're his mother and his sister?" Chris asked

"Funny how you say that like it's an accusation." I say "Well, I wouldn't claim it as a source of pride, since he basically kidnapped my daughter today." Chris said and I step in front of mom and closer to Chris staring him down. "How do we know skipping school wasn't your daughter's idea?" I ask growling slightly. "My daughter... is right there." Chris said and I turn around seeing Scott and I quickly go down the steps with mom following me. I get to Scott way before my mom does. I hug him when I get to him and he hugs me back. I pull away and punch his arm with werewolf strength. "Ow! What the hell was that for?" Scott asked and I glare at him pulling him away from Allison. "Next time you're with her, I don't give a fuck if it's invasion of fucking privacy Scott I want to know. Her family are fucking hunters Scott. Werewolf hunters! You're a fucking werewolf! That should be neon red fucking flags by itself. Her whole as family is fucking psycho it won't be long before she joins the club. Get out before it gets to that and I have to kill her because she hurts you or someone I care about." I say quietly and back away from him as mom catches up. We go back over to Allison and I stand as far away from Allison as possible.

"Where exactly have you been?" Mom asked "Nowhere, Mom." Scott said "Nowhere meaning not at school." Mom said "Kind of." Scott said "It's not his fault. It's my birthday and we were." Allison said before Chris and Victoria walked over to us. "Allison. In the car." Chris said and I hear a scream. I look around picking up a scent and I follow it. There's people screaming and running everywhere. I hear growling and that's when I know for sure that's it's not the Alpha. I make my eyes glow amber and I see something run across that doesn't look like the alpha. Scott walks up beside me. "Not the alpha." I say and I hear a horn beeping and see Allison standing in front of a car. "Allison!" Scott yelled and went to save her. "Move! Move!" Noah said and I see him go to go behind a car and I quickly push him out of the way and the car backs up into my side causing me to fall to the ground. "Oh my god. Amelia, are you okay?" Noah asked and I stand up. "I'm fine." I say and I hear growling still and Noah gets his spare out of his ankle holster.

Two gunshots go off and I run over to where they came from and immediately stop when I see Chris with a gun. I see a mountain lion on the ground and I knew that the alpha sent it out of the woods to make them believe that the killing were over if it got killed. Noah makes his way over to us. "Melissa you need to go have Amelia checked at a hospital. She pushed me out of the way of a moving car and got hit in the side and fell to the ground." Noah said "There's no need for that. I promise I'm fine." I say and I see Jackson's parents behind me so I wave at them smiling. "Okay, thanks for letting me know because if you didn't then she wouldn't. Come on Lia, you're going to the hospital." Mom said "Mom, I promise I am fine." I say "Come on." She drags both Scott and I away from the crowd of people. "We're dropping Scott off at the house first then we're going to the hospital." Mom said and we go to the car.

We get to the house and Mom stops the car. "Let me know what the doctor says okay?" Scott asked "Yeah sure." I say and he gets out and goes in the house and Mom drives off once ascot goes in the house. "We're not actually going to the hospital. I knew you didn't need it but just had to keep up appearances and if we don't want Scott knowing I know then we have to pretend." Mom said and I laugh. "Of course." I say "So will you tell me what actually happened last night?" Mom asked as she stops in a parking lot. "I was working in the back and I didn't hear anything happen to my boss and I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up so I took an earbud out and that's when I heard Jackson. I went to help him find The Notebook because my boss wasn't and that's when we found his body. That's when we saw the alpha and Jackson got pinned underneath the shelves because he didn't move in time but I was able to get out of the way." My phone rings. "Hello?" I ask answering the phone. "Amy can you come over?" Jackson asked "Jax are you drunk?" I ask and mom looked at me and I shrug. "Nooo. I just want to see you. Please?" I laugh. "Don't laugh at me. This isn't funny, Amy." Jackson said "Yeah it kinda is. You're literally begging me to come see you. And you're whining too. Good to know what you sound like drunk. Among other things. But yeah if my mom lets me I'll come over. Bye Jax." I say "Tell Momma McCall I said please? Bye Amy." Jax said and I hang up laughing.

"He said tell momma McCall I said please." I say looking at my mom. "What did you mean by among other things?" Mom asked "Uh, nothing Mom. Just when Scott messed up his shoulder he was whining to me about it because he was hurt." I say lying. "Okay. But yeah I'll drop you off at Jackson's." Mom said "Okay. Thank you." I say "Do you have a way to get in? Since he's drunk and his parents aren't home because they were at the conference?" Mom asked and I hold up my necklace that is the key to his house. "Yeah, he gave me a key, a couple months ago." I say "And you wear it on a necklace? Are you and him sneaking around?" Mom asked "What? No." Mom looks at me and I look down. "Yes. But no one knows." I say and she pulls up to Jackson's house. "Be safe. Remember what I told your brother before his first date with Allison? Yeah that applies to you too." Mom said and I get out of the car. I unlock the door and see Mom backing out the driveway when I walk through the door. I shut the door locking it before turning around and I see Jackson sprawled out on the couch asleep. I walk over to him and sit down on the couch. "Jax. Hey, wake up." I say and he slowly wakes up. "Amy? Your Mom let you come?" Jax asked as he sits up. "Yeah. I was in the car with her when you called and she drove me over. Come on let's get you up to your room." I say and I help him stand up and help him walk up the stairs. He get pajamas and changes into them and throws one of his shirts at me and I change. He lays down on his bed and I lay down beside him. "Thank you for actually coming." Jackson  said "I would've even if Mom said no. It would've just took me longer to get here. But now you need sleep. Good night, Jax." I say "Night, Amy." Jackson said and he fell asleep cuddled up to me.
