Magnus POV:

After we got off the train, we all started towards the nearest place to find food. Yes there was food on the train, and yes, we did eat at Fadlan's Falafel. But just because half of us are dead doesn't mean we don't have an appetite!

So all of us were walking towards the closest place that had some sort of food. It wasn't my fault it happened to be a candy store. And it wasn't my fault that Alex and Heart both wanted to go inside.

I walked through the doors, glancing over at the window. The words Sweet On America were painted in the window. Inside there was an assortment of candies, pastries, and a little freezer full of ice cream bars. We all split up, looking for something to eat. I looked into the glass display underneath a counter with a lady manning the register.

"Hi, may I help you find anything today?" She asked sweetly.

"No thanks Ma'am." I said back. A few minutes later we had all picked out croissants, and muffins. Annabeth had told us to meet her outside of the empire state building.
"That will be $25.75." The lady said, and Sam handed her $30. (I don't know how much it would cost pls dont hate me.)

"Keep the change." She said with a smile that she wouldn't usually regard strangers with. The woman smiled, and made small talk as she grabbed our food for us.

"So, are you folks from around here?" She asked.

"No, we're from Boston. Just visiting my cousin Annabeth." I said. The woman looked up when I said her name.

"Annabeth Chase?" She asked and I nodded. "So you must be Magnus! She said you were coming!" The lady said, and I was a little creeped out. How did she know Annabeth?

"How do you know Annabeth?" I asked obviously.

"Oh- right. I'm Sally, Annabeth's boyfriend's mom." She said reaching out her hand which I shook.

"Oh, so you're Percy's mom?" Alex asked.

"Yep." Sally said popping the P. "You've met him?"

"Yeah, he helped us on a qu..." Alex started to say, unaware if Sally knew about what Percy was. 

"Quest?" Sally asked. "Its alright. I know about all that demigod business." She said waving her hand. There was an awkward silence after she said that. 

"So um, do you kids need a ride? I Know monsters like to wait for half bloods who are just out in the open." Sally asked us.

"Thanks, yeah. We're meeting her at the empire state building." I said, and Sally nodded. 

"Ok great! My shift just ended anyways! Let's go!"

       After Sally dropped us off, Annabeth got a text on her phone that she said was a special phone made by her friend Leo, who would meet later. But she got a text saying that she was needed on Olympus for something. So we were going to meet her back here at 4:15. Then we were going to head to Camp Half-Blood. 

So we were left on the streets of NYC with nothing to do. I didn't really know what to do now, but I knew of some places here. Like Central Park. So I suggested it to the group and we all agreed to go. It was a 20 min walk, and we stopped for churros from a vender on the way. 

(I know that theres probably not many churro venders on the streets in New York, but I'm craving them rn so its in there.)

So now we were all sitting on the grass in central park, debating why Thor's beard was red. Was he just born with red hair? Was it hair dye? Blood? Flaming hot cheeto dust? What?! With his eating habits it could be true! After we ran out of reasons, Alex asked Sam if she wanted to work on her shape shifting. Sam said yes, and so we would call out a random animal and they would both do it. It was pretty fun not gonna lie. 

Peter POV:

       I was bored, yet again. Mango and Clay had to go, I'd finished all my homework an hour ago, and the Avengers were all out on a mission. I also didn't feel like being Spider-Man at the moment, and Aunt May was on one of her 48 hour shifts. Maybe I could go on a walk. To... Central Park? I don't have anything better to do. I got up, grabbed my  bag with my Spider-Man in it just incase, and headed out of the tower. 

       Once I entered the park, I spotted a group of people around my age sitting on the grass petting two dogs. One was a Husky that for some reason had its ears dyed pink and green, with two different colored eyes. The other was an Australian Sheppard, and had two honey colored eyes. 

       I watched for a few minuets, before the two dogs started to change shape into two teenage girls. I stared wide-eyed for a moment, before one of the two girls turned into a very large snake, and the other a white tiger. I deemed this very strange, and decided to check it out. As my alter ego of course.

I swung down and landed in a tree behind the group of kids. The first think I noticed was that one had on a blue overcoat, and an old veterans rifle on their back. Another had long blonde hair, and then the other two seemed to be older than the rest. One had a long waving red scarf, and was the tallest of the group. The other was extremely short, and looked like a fashion designer. Then there was the matter of the two animals, er, girls? 

I cleared my throat and they all turned to look at me. 

"Hello there," I said, jumping down. 

"Uhm... is there something that you want?" The blonde asked. 

"Actually yes," I said, and the tiger and snake turned back into girls. One wearing green and pink, the other with a green hijab. "How did they do that?" I asked and everyone seemed shocked for a moment. 

"Are you a god?" The boy with the rifle asked. 

"What- No!" I exclaimed. "I'm Spider-Man!" I said, thinking they've have caught on by now. "Ya know, the 'menace' in red and blue?" 

They all just shook their heads. 

"Are you a cop?" The girl in pink and green asked. 

"God no! They try and catch me! I just do their work for them- wait, I'm getting off topic." I said waving my arms around. "Who- What are you?" I asked. The group all shared uneasy glances. 

"Why do you wanna know?" The blonde guy asked. 

"HA!" I said pointing. "Blonde Surfer Dude admits it!" 

Everyone burst out laughing. 

"Did you just call Magnus 'Blonde Surfer Dude'?" The pink and green girl asked me.

"Why is that wrong?" I asked. "He's blonde and looks like a surfer dude!" I say gesturing to the Magnus guy. 

"No-" the girl says back, wiping a tear from her eye. "Its just it fits so well." She says while snorting. Magnus just sits there looked a little sad. 

"Well what are you laughing about fittonia? I counter. (I needed Spidey to call Alex something so I looked up pink and green plants. The plant pic above is called a fittonia, so bare with me! And just pretend they all know what a fittonia is...)

At this everyone doubled over in laughter. Even Magnus was laughing.

"Magnus as Blonde Surfer Dude and Alex as fittonia?" The small, well dressed man asked. "Oh too good!" He said and clapped his hands.

"Shut up Blitz." The girl, Alex, said. Then she turned to look back at me. "What did you want again?" She asked me.

"I uh, well..." I said scratching the back of my head (which was hard with a mask on!). "I need to make sure you're all not threats. Because I saw two of you shape shift and one of you has a gun."

Everyone had stopped laughing and looked at me, while looks of confusion and fear crossed their faces. 

"A-Are you sure your not a god?" The rifle kid asks again. I shake my head. Then the tall scarf guy makes some gestures with his hands which I recognize as ASL. I know a little thanks to Clint, so I caught part of their conversation. 

Scarf Guy: ...... trust him?

Blondie (Magnus): He seems.....not ..... and........ so maybe?

Rifle Kid: Yeah, he ........most likely..... I think that .......... though. So .....

Fittonia: ...... you guys sure?

Fashionable Guy: Well we....... and........ so yeah. I think. 

They all look back at me. 

"We aren't threats. I can promise you that." The girl with the green hijab spoke up. "We ah, are just... different."

"Good different or bad different?" I asked. Did I need to bring them in?

"Good, we're good." She said. 

"I- ok..." I reluctantly said, and left. I trusted them, because if they had lied my spider sense would have told me. Now, I should probably get back to the tower. The team might be back by now and we were having a movie night tonight and going to watch Nemo!
