A/N - Two. Hundred. Eighty. Five. Reads. I don't even.. HOW DO YOU PEOPLE DO THIS? The original name for this chapter is 'Lumina's Gift'. It'll probably be different by the time you read this because I literally came up with it like two seconds ago... *a few minutes later* (SpongeBob announcer and then Jeopardy music) Eh, I got nothin'. Just.. go read it. I'M WINGIN' IT! Apparently I have a reader named Zenith... SORRY!

Aphmau's PoV

I was minding my business at home when Garroth came back.. With some.. Water-Lady. Kiki and Leona had left by then, Levin and Malachi were playing at Emma and Cory's, and Lu was upstairs napping-- so basically, I was bored.

The door opened, revealing Garroth and someone new. "Garroth! You're home... and you brought..?"

"Oh! Um, this is-"

The woman cut him off. "I am a former member of the Jury of Nine, Lyla the Bloom, peacemaker and non-violence supporter. Before hurtful words are spoken," she seemed to read my mind, "I have no interest in your husband and I have no respect or loyalties to that bastard of a High Priest, Zane."

"Wait, Aphmau, you were suspicious of her liking me?" Garroth asked.

I turned red. "NO!" I yelled, perhaps a bit too loud.

I coughed. "It's nice to meet you Lyla, you may stay in Phoenix Drop as long as you like, but why exactly are you here?"

-Jeopardy Music ~ Half an Hour of Explaining Later..(Yes, SpongeBob guy says this.)-

"The... Zenith of Darkness..?" I asked.

Lyla nodded. "but I must talk to you both about the people concerning this matter." Garroth and I nodded, letting her continue. "You have a friend and resident of this village who is a Shadow Knight, correct?"

"Laurance," I murmured. "but... what does he have to do with this?"

"Zenith," She explained, "means the highest point in something. Your friend, Laurance, will be affected, for this is the highest point in darkness. I must ask, do you have any magicks users in this village?"

"Yes," I replied.

Garroth spoke. "Kawaii~Chan, with re-animation magicks, Lucinda, who's a witch, Zoey, with barrier magicks, and Aphmau here with healing magicks."

Lyla raised an eyebrow. "Why do you trust me so as to answer all of my questions truthfully?"

"Gut feeling," Garroth and I said in unison.

She chuckled. "Well then, I thank you for that. All I need is er.. Zoey, the one with barrier magicks. On the week of the Zenith, she needs to put a barrier over the whole town, if possible."

"The.. entire village?" I hesitated. "I don't know if she.."

Garroth laid a hand on mine. "We could ask Lucinda to help. If that doesn't work, then we go to a safe place while it happens-"

"Impossible," Lyla said. "When the Zenith wave comes, it targets the souls of those with light in their hearts."

"But then.. why us, specifically?" I asked. "Don't the other villages-"

"This village contains two descendants of Lady Irene, making it stand out much more than any other village."

"Two...?" I thought aloud. "Levin, and then..."

"You." Garroth finished. "And three, as Lumina technically counts."

"That is why we need barrier magicks to shield you from the wave. Not only that, but strong barrier magicks, enough to withstand a huge amount of dark magic for at least ten days."

"The Phoenix Alliance," I blurted.

"Wha-"

"Of course!" Garroth exclaimed, "We could send letters out to them,"

"and see how many magicks users we can find!" I concluded.

"That's brilliant! I can see why you two are a married couple, you work very well together." Lyla commented.

"Thank you, but do you know if the Zenith will hit us and villages in our path, or avoid them, and directly to us?" I thought about Brightport, Meteli, and the other villages standing in our vicinity.

"It will most likely hit you, directly, because it specifically targets the souls of.. well, pure and Irene-descended people, which, I must say, your village is full of."

-Mini Rant-

okay, first, let's pretend Phoenix Drop has an Inn and Donna had Rollo and Lollo and Leona got her werewolf form because I'M A TERRIBLE AUTHOR THAT FORGETS TO ADD IMPORTANT DETAILS TO HER STORY!!! Also, one chapter in the future will include 'Lumina's Gift' because I wanna wait until she's older for that schist and I will possibly add Irene's relic, and then, EVENTUALLY I'll make it to the point where it is in the series, except not fifteen years in the future and with Lumina. 'Kay?

-Rant Over-

-Time skip--I'm bored-

We had Raven send multiple letters to all of the Phoenix Alliance:

      To Whom it may Concern,

Phoenix Drop needs your help. We, as a village, are currently being targeted by something known as the Zenith of Darkness. We need protection, and so we ask for your aid. Gather and find all your magicks users, and report to us- their names and types of magicks, or if they're a witch or warlock. We need all the help and/or protection we can get, and Phoenix Drop will be in your debt. For all those participating, know that you will save many lives in the process. Do not worry, for the Zenith targets us and us alone.

Sincerely,

Lady Aphmau; Lord Garroth of Phoenix Drop

"Is that it?" Garroth asked.

I nodded in response. "Meteli, Brightport and their Wolf Tribe, Scaleswind, and Pikoro. (Did I miss anyone? [chicken shaman doesn't count, because what kind of chickens know magic?]'Magic Chickens!' you say- NU.)"

-oh, btw Lyla went to the Phoenix Drop Inn I made up about two minutes ago.-

"I'm tired," Garroth says plainly.

"Didn't you say you were taking the night shift?" I giggled as he let out a tired groan.

"Didn't Will come back to help us?" He protested. "There's an excuse. Let him do it! I'm tired.."

"Garroth? Lazy?" I asked, faking shock. "The great Garroth Ro'Meave is... Begging for a break??"

He chuckled, "Yeah, yeah, I've never been one to complain, but we're a small family and you know as well as I that we both work overtime for the sake of our village. I stay headstrong and barely complain, and you..?"

I grunted. "Pfft, I'm the same way.."

-flashback montage-
"Garroth, I'm tired, can you carry me upstairs?"
-
"I'm laaaaazy!"
-
"But I don't feel like it.."
-
"I don't wanna get up, this bed is so freaking comfy.."
-end of flashback montage-

"Sure..." Garroth said, rolling his eyes. "But in my defense, you look absolutely adorable when you're lazy."

"Shut up," I huffed. "Besides, I... Have nothing to counter that." I face palmed.

"Aw," Garroth smirked and picked me up bridal style.

"What are you...-- Wait, I'mma shut up and enjoy this." I giggled.

"We gotta prepare for the Zenith, so you have to get your rest. Lyla's probably either planning or sleeping now and I don't know about you, but I feel like sleeping." Garroth laid me down on our bed, and afterwards laid down next to me. "Welp, g'night!"

A/N - I had no idea how to end it, and this was what I came up with. GOOD ENOUGH. Actually, I'm kinda sleepy... This bed is so freaking comfy..

WELP, G'NIGHT!
~Em
