Garroth's PoV

I grabbed my sword, and Aphmau grabbed hers.

"Aphmau, get back in the house." I ordered.

"Garroth, I can figh-"

"Well, according to what I've been hearing," Gene raised his sword. "Aphmau, you, are eating for two!Correct?"

"None of your business." She growled.

"GARROTH!" Dante ran up the hill, katanas in hand.

"Hello, brother.." He crooned. "You wanna FIGHT?" He stomped his foot to the ground, and like before, the shadow knights arrived.

"APHMAU, GET BACK IN THE HOUSE!" I yelled as I ducked a swing.

"GARROTH, I'M FIGHTING!" She dodged a blade. I couldn't stop her. Soon, others came, and the fight scene from months ago returned, but this time, people spared a moment or two to tell Aphmau to run to safety because of her 'condition'.

-a few hours later...-

"THERE'S A CLEAR SHOT, SASHA GET HER!" Gene yelled. Sasha pulled out some kind of gem, and pointed it at Aphmau.

A soul chamber.

I tried to get in front of her, and so did a few others, but it was too late. Aphmau staggered backwards as an eerie gray light surrounded her, taking her soul; she tried to fight it, but it was too much. It lifted her up, and she fell to the ground as the chamber collected her soul. I took my chance. I charged at Sasha, hoping to get the stone, but they disappeared once again, into the shadows, leaving Aphmau's lifeless body on the ground.

"APHMAU!" I rushed toward her. (All of you R gonna kill me... BUT U HAVE HOPES FROM THE LAST TWO TIMES I DID THIS RIGHT?) "no.. Aphmau.. What've they done to you?" I cupped my hands to her face as the rest of the fighters came by my side.

"She.." Laurance kneeled beside me. "She's.. Gone?"

"F-for t-the t-t-time b-being..." I tried to fight the tears, but they came rushing down at the thought of my beloved gone.

"But the baby still lingers inside her." Lucinda put a hand on my shoulder.

"S-so t-hey.. They could k-keep her? F-for six m-m-months?" I stuttered.

"Not necessarily that long, I mean, they can't keep her forever, she has to come back every now and then.." Lucinda looked disappointed to tell me this.

I cradled her lifeless body as tears streamed from my eyes, people coming with their sorries, I didn't want that. I didn't need their apologies. I just needed my Aphmau.

"Dad, what's- WHAT HAPPENED?" Malachi rushed out of the house, Levin at his side. "Was it.. Was it a soul chamber?"

I nodded.

"Mama?" Levin pointed.

"Mama.. She.. She's, um... " I sniffed. "She.. She's not-"

"Levin, I'll explain, c'mon, let's go play, okay?" Malachi grabbed his hand.

"Ok, play!" Levin happily agreed, and went back inside. I shot Malachi a look of thanks, and he smiled.

"She's gonna come back, right?" Laurance touched her cheek. "We know that now.."

"I'm.. I'm taking her inside." I carried her up to our bedroom, and laid beside her.

-I'm positive that some people wanna kill me rn-

-A few weeks later-

I couldn't blame Aphmau for being so inactive while I was gone, because I'd done the same. I sat by her side, day and night, and I wouldn't let anyone in. I let Laurance become the head of the guard, because I couldn't bear to go out, not without my princess.

"GARROTH!" I looked over, and there was my princess, crying and thrashing as if something was hurting her. "HELP ME!" She cried. She wasn't awake, she was being tortured.

"I'M HERE, I'M HERE, APHMAU, I'M RIGHT HERE!" I pulled her close. We both started crying uncontrollably for each other.

"APHMAU! APHMAU, A-Aph-m-mau.." I sobbed as she thrashed.

"GARROTH! STOP IT! STOP HURTING HIM, GO AHEAD AND KILL ME, JUST LEAVE GARROTH ALONE!" She cried in her eternal sleep. "STOP! KILL ME INSTEAD, DON'T HURT GARROTH, NO... NO! GARROTH HANG IN.." She started breathing heavily, and the sobbing became louder and louder, until I could hear dozens of people knocking on my door.

"What are they.. APHMAU, WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO YOU?"

Aphmau screamed, and woke up with a shock. "GARROTH, GARROTH ARE YOU OKA-"

"Shh, I'm here princess.." I started to cry, Aphmau burying herself in my arms.

"Garroth.. They.. They tortured me... Y-you were there, and.. They.. They hurt you.. And they-" she started to sob again. "Garroth.. WAIT- NO, PLEASE! HELP-" she left. She left me there, crying, alone, and broken.

"GARROTH, NEAR THE WOLF TRI-" she gasped, then left, just as I did. "BRIGHT PO-"

"ASK AZUR-"

"THE CAVES!"

"Garroth.." Laurance stood outside the door. "I... Heard everything.. I'm coming with you."

"No, you're not, I'll ask Azura to help me, you need to stay here, you're acting as head guard, and you can't leave."

"Garroth, please, I-"

"No. I'm going alone, and if not, at least Azura. You're not coming." I walked away, dawned my armor and weapons, then headed off.

-I'm makin this long.. Lol NOPE.-

-or am I? Moohahaha-

-Bright Port, blah blah blah, Azura decides to come, blah blah blah, and HERE-

"So how's it going with you and Aphmau?" Azura decided to make small talk.

"Good, and everything between you and Laurance?"

"Good. He sends me letters." A moment of silence, then, "So is it true? That Aphmau is... You and her.. She's gonna.. You know?"

"Hm? Oh, " I couldn't help but smile at the fact that if everything works out, Aphmau and I will have a child, this time, not adoption, but.. For real. "Yeah..."

"You're happy I take it?" She smiled.

"Ecstatic," I chuckled, then my expression turned hard as we came to the place. "We're here."

"But, where?"

"Search the rocks, maybe there's a hidden-" I touched a rock, which turned out to be a button. "Found it."

"Well, go on!" She nudged me.

"Ladies first,"

"Fine."
