You and Kaya spent the whole day in the arcade,spending most of your money on the addictive ten pence fall machine and the rest managing to win a Toy from the grabber. After that,you sit down in the cafe,sharing a bowl of fries.
"Hey," Kaya says,gesturing her head to the other table,were two boys sit. One with blonde/caramel locks and adorable dimples and the other a little taller than him with black hair in a fringe. They both were very well built, but when you look at them they just duck down and Kaya bursts out in laughter but then winks at one of them,twirling her long,brown hair.
"Seriously?" You asks her.
"The tall one is cute," she says.
"Well go talk to him," you say.
"Fine," she sighs "As long as you come with me and you chat to the blonde one," you had to admit,he was pretty good looking.
You walk over to them,clamping your hands together nervously,you had never done anything like this before.
"Can we sit?" Kaya asks.
"Sure," they both say,so you sit beside them as you give the blonde one a small smile. Kaya and the other one are in deeper conversation,ignoring your existence.
"I'm Thomas," he says.
"Isabella," you reply "And it wasn't my idea to come over here,"
"Well,Dylan was following you around a little bit today,tagging me along. We were supposed to see a movie today but he wouldn't budge,and I'm not going by myself,"
"Couldn't you just go now?" You ask.
"Not by myself," he says. "Unless,do you want to come?"
"Why not," you say. You just slip away after,Dylan and Kaya nor even noticing.
You hated horror films,an of course Thomas booked tickets for Annabelle. But you couldn't back out now. It was a typical horror,making your heart race at every opportunity. It's at the point in the movie where the woman sees the ghost that's when you shiver and curl up in your seat and a warm arm wraps around you. Thomas just sits there causally,looking at the screen like it's some kind of animated kiddy film.
After the film,you leave the cinema to find it's pitch black and freezing cold,you didn't bring a coat you just wrap your arms around your body.
"Do you want a coat?" He asks.
"No,that's fine," you say but sending out shivers so he wraps his coat around you,it's super warm.
"Oh God." He gasps,looking in the other direction,you turn round to see Dylan and Kaya,kissing against the wall,his arms wrapped around her waist and hers up to his neck.
"Dylan!" Thomas calls and he turns around,red lipstick on his lips. "We'll just get a taxi,"
It doesn't take a while for it to come,you give the driver your address as the car starts,you just look out the window,the orange flashing lampposts lit up and zoom past like fireflies.
Your eyes open to an unfamiliar place. You look up to see your lying in a kingsized bed with sea blue covers,you're in a bedroom but not your own. You look round to see someone sitting at a desk,typing at a laptop. It's Thomas.
"What the heck?" You demand.
He turns round on his chair "You fell asleep in the taxi,I tried knocking on your door when we arrived but no one responded,"
"Yeah," you say,rubbing your eyes "I'm home alone,"
"Well do you want me to drive you back home?" He asks. "Or you can stay here?"
"You don't need to do that," you say. "Plus,your family will be wondering who the heck I am,"
"Yeah,maybe but they don't live with me-I live alone," he says.
"You like that?" You ask.
He shrugs as he sits down beside you "I like to be alone but I don't like feeling alone. Does that make any sense?"
"Yeah," you nod "I feel that way sometimes,"
He is about to say something when i hear a vibrate,his phone, he picks it up for a second.
"It's Dylan," he tells me "He's still with Kaya,"
"You've got to be kidding me!" You gasp.
"No,not joking," he laughs "And Kaya wanted to know if you were okay,"
"Well I bet she's having a great time," you say. "And by the way,even though I fell asleep. I had a great time tonight,even though I fell asleep,"
"Me too," he says.
You just sit there for a while,looking at each-other,he mutters something barely audible underneath his breath. Then closes his eyes and leans into you as his lips lightly touch yours,soft and smooth. This was much better than being alone,the both of you knew it.
