Chapter Three: The Beginning (p.1)
Dabi and Shouto stepped into the bar, and were immediately met with a low hum, giving them excruciating headaches. (Y/n) glared at them, tired of having to wait for them. It didn't help that everyone had contacted the brothers and neither had responded. They all thought the two had gotten themselves arrested, but nothing was on the news, so they were even more clueless.
"What the hell (Y/n)," Dabi groaned, "stop."
"Where the fuck were you two?" (Y/n) demanded more than asked.
"Out," Shouto responded smartly. The headaches increased tenfold, and the older of the two fell to his knees in pain.
"We all thought you guys had gotten arrested, assholes," (Y/n) growled, "you had a bunch of people worried and waiting for you for no good reason. Now I'll ask again, where the fuck were you two that was so important that you caused us all to wait?"
"Todoroki Estate!" Dabi gasped out, holding his head, hoping for the pain to dissipate.
"Why?"
"I messed him up a bit, Dabi just gave me a ride," Shouto stated, his voice strained.
"Fine," (Y/n) sighed and stopped using his quirk, "nice hair, by the way."
"Thanks," Shouto let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding, "what's so urgent?"
Shouto knew better than to further bother (Y/n). Quite a bit had changed about him over the years. He was still the same person, but yet, he just wasn't. He was sinister, manipulative, and he was by no means afraid to use his quirk to harm his own allies. He did it for a reason that was good enough— as a warning not to cross him and to pay more attention when the League was attempting to contact him.
"We are the only ones we can trust in this world anymore, so don't take it for granted, trust is fragile."
Shouto knew the real meaning behind the word's (Y/n) had uttered to the Mayhem and Vanguard Squads. There was no life lesson, this was no 'Boy Meets World' episode. This was specific to people in their world— in the world of villains.
"The only people who trust you are villains. You can lose the ability to be credible in an instant, and you won't get it back, so use it wisely."
Shouto had to keep himself from shuttering as he recalled when (Y/n) had told him this. It was after a League of Villains meeting, and (Y/n) held the Mayhem Squad back. Hearing that was when it truly set in for Shouto what he was. He was no longer a great person that was admired, he was no longer the "perfect" son of Endeavor, and as much as it frightened him, it set his soul on fire with pride.
"Tomura had been so kind as to plan our next course of action," (Y/n) told the two, turning towards the head of the League of Villains.
"Okay, now that everyone is finally here, our plan is simply to rile up the heroes," Shigaraki proposed, "give them high spirits for us to crush."
"Be more specific," Dabi sighed.
"The Vanguard Squad is going to cause some trouble, break in a few places, injure and kill a few civilians, you know, basic stuff," Shigaraki foretold, "meanwhile the Mayhem Squad is going to claim two very special victims."
"Sounds fun," Kirishima grinned.
"I don't know if I would use the word 'fun,' but sure," Shouto sighed.
"Which two hero scumbags to we get to fuck up now?" Bakugou questioned eagerly.
"You guys are familiar with the heroes 'Invisible Girl' and 'Sugarman?'" Shigaraki questioned.
"Ah, Rikido and Hagakure, right?" (Y/n) turned to Kirishima for clarification.
"Yep," Kirishima let out a dramatic sigh, "and Rikido and I used to be such good friends~"
"Then perhaps you and Bakugou should go pay him a visit. Shouto and I will happily take care of Invisi-bitch," (Y/n) grinned and got up, "what are you sitting around for? Go get your stuff ready, I don't tolerate half-assed jobs."
He really didn't. Once upon a time, Muscular showed up after a job and the body wasn't dropped off where (Y/n)'s father said it was to be. Not being there at the time, he put (Y/n) in charge of delivering proper punishment, which was not pretty. (Y/n) then used the powerful villain as an example of what happens to those who fail to do their job correctly.
Everyone quickly rushed off to their respective places, agreeing to meet back in two hours.

"Hey Deku, I don't feel so good..." Tsuyu mentioned worriedly to her coworker, "I feel like something bad is going to happen."
"What do you mean, Tsu?" Deku question obliviously.
"They've been inactive for too long, something is up," Tsuyu foretold.
"They?" Deku asked.
"Don't play dumb, Deku, you know who I'm talking about," Tsuyu sighed, "Kirishima, Todoroki, Bakugou, and especially (Y/n) have been laying low."
"Isn't that a good thing? That means that they may be giving up!" Deku stated hopefully.
Tokoyami, who was also present, for once (he was surprisingly one of the busier of the heroes and often couldn't find time for them), shook his head, "Midoriya, as much as it pains me to say it, they have no reason to give up. They're winning, and they know it."
"Come on guys, have some faith in them!" Uraraka cried out, "Kirishima and Todoroki would never do this willingly, and Bakugou was just dragged into the mess!"
"What are you implying, Uravity?" Sero asked.
"(Y/n) was always strange," Uraraka sighed, deciding to let out the thoughts she had locked away for years, "he would get this look in his eyes when looking at All Might, and even you, Deku. It was dark, but it would go away so fast I swore I was seeing things..."
"No, if the others are innocent then so is (Y/n)! It's that villain, Shigaraki's fault!" Sero countered.
He still had faith in his old friends.
"Listen to yourself!" Deku yelled, "I agree with Uraraka. (Y/n) twisted them to do this!"
Sero still believed in them.
"No, he didn't! If anything they were forced! (Y/n), Bakugou, Kirishima, Todoroki-" Sero listed, "you were never as close to them as I was! You don't know anything!"
"HE KILLED IIDA!" Uraraka screamed, "Iida died by (Y/n)'s hands! I was there!"
"You're just upset you couldn't save him!" Sero shouted back.
"Guys!" Tsuyu yelled.
"Then what about Mineta, huh?!" Uraraka cried, "(Y/n) killed him too!"
"And what about Present Mic? He wouldn't be dead if (Y/n) tried to help him!" Deku joined.
"Don't bring them into this! You don't even want to serve justice, Mr. Number-One-Hero!" Sero growled, "you're just upset that Todoroki ditched you for the guy that rejected you in high school!"
"Excuse me?!" Deku looked at Sero incredulously.
"You don't even deserve that title! It belongs to Yaoyorozu if anything!" Sero shouted, "she gave it to you! She stepped down because it was your stupid dream!"
The room got quiet. Sero wasn't wrong. In fact, he was all too right. With her ability to create anything she knew the structure of, she, Momo Yaoyorozu had made a breakthrough. She could create life with her quirk, now, and she did wondrous things with this. The term "endangered" didn't exist anymore, and she had made devices to take down villains. She single-handedly took down an extremely dangerous villain in high school, and no one could compete with that. She didn't want all the attention, so she stepped down and gave her title Deku, who didn't actually deserve it.
"Get it together!" Tokoyami yelled, "this is what they want, for us to turn on each other! It doesn't matter what we think of them personally! They're the world's worst villains, they aren't the people we knew in our freshmen year! We need to do our job and get them into custody, that's all that matters!"
(I'm off hiatus guys! Here's the game plan: I'll probably update once a week on Sunday. Thank you all for reading, and I just would like to ask for song recommendations for the next chapter. Just tell me the name and artist, and please choose a song that fits the story [Not this: Happy; Pharrell Williams]. Also, not a whole lot of cussing, that's Bakugou's job. That's all I have to say, guys, see you in the next chapter!)

(Extra:)
"Were you really worried about us?"
"Partially, though I know you can take care of yourself."
"Ah, so you were worried about him."
"Yes, exactly."
"Hmm."
