Arc Four, Hell Unleashed; Chapter One: Changed

"Listen," (Y/n)'s father frowned, "you guys need to shape up and start taking orders. I'm tired of you guys not giving the missions I assign to you three the same attention and precision as when you took orders from that maggot."

Todoroki stood up abruptly and glared at the male. Everyone was taken aback by the action, but they partially understood. The tall, young man stared down at the older villain and scowled. Now, only two people had seen him this angry, and Dabi was debating whether or not he should step in. Of course, if he did would be for the purpose of keeping partial peace, as he would never side with the old man over Todoroki.

"See you guys later, I'm going to go see... something," Todoroki knew better than to step out of line.

No one had seen (Y/n) in two months. Or at least no one had seen him in person. They'd all seen him in action on the television. He was causing even more trouble than before, and the heroes couldn't even touch him. Said male was busy making a name for himself, and he made it very clear that he was not a part of the League of Villains.

It was very clear that this pissed (Y/n)'s father off more than anything. He had never seen this extent of (Y/n)'s power, and he was bent out of shape at the fact that (Y/n) made it very clear that he didn't need him. That said, Todoroki, Bakugou, and Kirishima felt totally different. They were amazed, but they were all uneasy. Having to take orders from someone other than him felt wrong, and they were no longer working towards their goals. Now they were just acting out of cruelty, and they were up to the atmosphere with it.

"Okay, Mayhem Squad," (Y/n)'s father started, "I need you guys to cause a ruckus in Hosu City. There are some small time guys that are getting a little too risky for my liking."

"Fuck this," Bakugou murmured.

"Now that we're all together, I was thinking we should plan our next big move," (Y/n)'s father said, "(Y/n)'s starting to get in the way. I need you guys to take him out."

That was the last straw.

"We're out," Todoroki suddenly stood up started towards the door. He felt confident to speak for the rest of his squad.

"Excuse me?" (Y/n)'s father, All For One questioned.

"You get rid of him, you get rid of us," Kirishima stated, joining Todoroki.

"Yeah, and you already made your intentions obvious, so we quit," Todoroki scowled.

"What are you going to do without us, without me, huh?" All For One practically growled out.

"The same as we always have, dumbass," Bakugou paused and started towards the door as well, "we're going to follow him and do whatever he tells us too."

"We never took direct orders from you in the first place, so this won't be any different for us," Kirishima commented matter of factly.

"You guys are going to regret this," All For One swore.

"That's what Iida said, but did we?" Todoroki sneered.

"..." All For One didn't respond right away.

"Exactly," Todoroki made his point and walked out the door, Kirishima following behind him.

"See you guys around, or hell, maybe not," Bakugou gave a half-assed wave before slamming the door behind him on his way out.

Once outside the bar, Todoroki lit his hand on fire and made eye contact with the two males beside him. Bakugou nodded and Kirishima grinned. Kirishima started to break down the back wall, shattering it like glass without any real effort. Bakugou used his quirk to get up to the top of the building before blowing the second-floor roof in. Todoroki waited for them to step back before setting the place ablaze.

The three didn't need to stay to watch hell be unleashed, they could watch it on the news the next morning. That said, they decided they would leave, for good. The young men needed to all go clear their heads together. Things were different now, they were on their own. Sure, they had each other, but they couldn't be sure about (Y/n) and they sure as hell didn't have the League of Villains at their backs.

It hadn't fully set in yet that they were their only comrades, but they understood (Y/n)'s previous warning now. They knew what he was talking and they were sure they knew what it meant for them. That said, they were confident they could do it. The three of them would continue on, even if, God forbid, they had to do it without their leader— without (Y/n) by their sides.

"We are the only ones we can trust in this world anymore, so don't take it for granted, trust is fragile."

The three of them understood all too well at this point. This is why (Y/n) didn't turn back. This is why their leader left them. More than anything, this is why he had Todoroki tell them to stay with the League of Villains, even if he wasn't there with them anymore. It was safer to stay with a larger group. That way you had more allies. Now, though, they were not only against the government and the heroes, but they were up against other villains as well.

"The only people who trust you are villains. You can lose the ability to be credible in an instant, and you won't get it back, so use it wisely."

Before they parted ways, they walked to the old park not too far from the bar. They made a point to go somewhere where no one would hear them if anyone happened to choose then as a good time to pass by the group.

"What do we do now?" neither of the other two men expected Bakugou to ask that, but they were glad he did.

"Should we lay low?" Kirishima questioned.

"No, that's the opposite of what we should do," Todoroki spoke up, "I think our first course of action is to find (Y/n). I checked his apartment a while ago and... he picked up his stuff and moved."

"Shit, so he could be anywhere in Japan, huh?" Bakugou sighed.

"Technically, I guess," Todoroki frowned.

"But he mainly acts out in Hosu City, so he couldn't have moved very far!" Kirishima stated with a bright smile, "I'm sure we'll regain contact with him soon."

"Why don't we just call him, again?" Bakugou asked.

"Changed his number on us, we have no means of communication unless we catch him in person," Todoroki sighed.

"Ugh, this is going to be harder than we thought..." Kirishima ran a hand through his hair.

"Look up, Eijiro," Todoroki gave the two a tiny smirk, "everything's changed, and it's about time our hell is unleashed."

(This Was 1279 Words!)

(Extra:)

(Y/n) cursed himself for what was happening. He felt pathetic as he gasped shallowly and wheezed due to his current lack of oxygen. If only he could talk, make a voice-oriented noise, anything— he'd had no problem unwrapping this large hand from his throat.

(Last thing! Thanks to wow_strangerdanger for the song recommendation!)
