Chapter Twenty-Seven
Chapter Twenty-Seven
“What do you mean there are no tickets left?” asks Sooyoung while pointing at the glass that separated them from the ticket admissions. “Do you know who you’re messing with?”
“Look, there are no more tickets for that showing. And it’s the last one for the night. Come back tomorrow.”
“Do you not know who this is?” asks Sooyoung while pointing at Taeyeon.
“Yeah a person that doesn’t even look old enough to watch the movie.” A frown forms on Taeyeon’s face as she crosses her arms. “Either pick another movie that starts in twenty minutes or come back tomorrow.”
“Do you know the Kims?” asks Sooyoung while leaning in closer to the glass.
“There are a lot of Kims.”
“I’m talking about the Kims…as in the Kim Mafia,” continues Sooyoung.
“Yeah what about them?”
“See her right there…the one that you think is a child. She’s the heiress…and either we get tickets now or we destroy your car and more,” threatens Sooyoung.
A laugh escapes his lips, “that short thing…an heiress?” Taeyeon’s face scrunches up.
“What are you guys still doing out here and trying to buy tickets?” Everyone turns and looks to see Hyoyeon climb out of the Kim Family car. “You should already have tickets.”
“Yeah but midget and her girlfriend forgot about our group date and we went to find them,” explains Yuri.
“Only to return and have him claim that there are no more tickets for the last showing,” finishes Yoona. Hyoyeon nods her head and walks over to the window leaning against it and whispering.
“Here are you tickets. Enjoy the movie,” Hyoyeon smiles and grabs hold of the tickets waving them around.
“How’d you do it?” asks Sooyoung amazed.
“You guys are seriously slacking in the intimidation category,” answers Hyoyeon, “let’s go find some seats.”
“What about food?” asks Yoona.
“After we find some seats,” repeats Hyoyeon leading them into the theater.
*****
Taeyeon fidgets her seat before pulling her phone out of her pocket. It’s only been 25 minutes since they sat down and only 15 minutes since the movie has started. With a defeated sigh she slides the phone back into her pocket prior to slouching in her seat.
Jessica watches her with intent curiosity. Was something wrong? “Taengoo,” she whispers causing for the older girl to jump. A small laugh escapes Jessica’s lips as Taeyeon turns and looks at her wide eyed. “Something wrong?”
“N-no, just thinking,” responds Taeyeon. Jessica turns back to the large screen leaving Taeyeon alone. How to get her kiss? Maybe Yuri has an idea? She leans forward and looks across Jessica to see Yuri with her head back sleeping as Tiffany stared at the screen with increased attention.
Maybe Sooyoung? She looks behind her to see Sooyoung missing along with Sunny. Where did those two go? Screw it. She sits back and crosses her arms. All that’s left is Hyoyeon and Yoona. Hyoyeon isn’t in a relationship so that was out. Though she did say she would help.
Taeyeon turns to her sister only to find the younger girl no longer in the seat next to her. Squinting, her eyes she looks around the dark theater spotting her in a seat closer to the screen. All that’s left is Yoona.
She turns around again to see Yoona smiling happily as she feeds Seohyun popcorn. She tilts her head watching them curiously as a disgusted expression appears on Seohyun’s face as the younger girl chews the item. Why would she eat something that she is obviously dissatisfied with? “Are you sure something isn’t wrong?” She jumps again as Jessica’s voice fills her ears.
“I-I’m sure,” answers Taeyeon.
“Are you sure?” whispers Jessica as she rests her head on Taeyeon’s shoulder.
“Yes.”
“You’re wondering about having our first Taengoo-initiated kiss aren’t you?”
“I…uh…”
“The longer you wait and the more I have to point out perfect times the less likely I will want to continue having a relationship,” whispers Jessica as she sits up straight and looks at Taeyeon with serious expression.
Taeyeon nods her head and slowly leans in for the kiss when a foot comes into view. Both, her and Jessica, raise a brow as they turn and look at the leg connected to the foot. They follow it all the way up to see Sooyoung leaning back with a big bucket of popcorn.
Taeyeon pushes the foot out of the way with a scowl. “Oh sorry,” mumbles Sooyoung.
“Sure you are,” whispers Taeyeon as she turns back to the screen crossing her arms again.
“Interruptions make it worthwhile,” whispers Jessica as she rests her head against Taeyeon’s shoulder again.
“How so?”
“Well the kiss would be better because you’ll have a lot of pent up frustrations that you’d wish to release. Or at least interrupted kisses were better than regular with Tiffany.” Taeyeon’s scowl turns into a frown as she becomes stiff. “I’m sorry,” whispers Jessica, “I didn’t mean to make you upset.” Taeyeon ignores her. “Fine…let’s just watch the movie.”
Taeyeon nods her head; her eyes take in the pictures that were flashing on the screen.
Minutes pass when Sooyoung leans forward, “aren’t you going to try to kiss Jung?”
“Tried,” answers Taeyeon, “twice in which you ruined it.”
“Oh…sorry,” Taeyeon waves her off with her hand.
*****
“So what now?” asks Yuri while stretching.
“It’s getting a little late,” answers Seohyun while checking the time
“I agree. I think it’s best if we turn in for the night,” comments Hyoyeon. They all nod their head in agreement, “besides the last bus should be coming.”
“Are you coming home or to your dad’s?” asks Tiffany as she stands beside Jessica.
“My dad,” answers Jessica as she watches Taeyeon walk down the street. “I’ll catch a ride with Taeyeon. Go straight home Tiff. No pit stops with Yuri do you understand?”
“Sheesh…yes big sister,” retorts Tiffany as she waves goodbye to Jessica while walking off with Yuri.
Jessica jogs to catch up to her girlfriend. “Taengoo wait.” Taeyeon stops walking but doesn’t turn to look at Jessica. “Can you drop me off at my dad’s?”
“Yeah.”
*****
They walk side by side until they reach Jessica’s father’s door. Jessica stops and turns around flashing Taeyeon a smile. “Well I’ll see you later,” states Jessica as she turns back to the door. Her hand reaches out to grab the knob when Taeyeon’s hand wraps around her owns.
“I know what happens at this part,” whispers Taeyeon as she takes a step closer to Jessica.
“Do you?” asks Jessica as she looks over her shoulder at Taeyeon. Taeyeon nods her head. “Well what happens?”
“Well first I walk you to the door.”
“Already done.”
“And then there is the kiss.”
“Kiss?” questions Jessica as she turns around to fully face Taeyeon again, “you’ve always dropped me off without a kiss.”
“Not anymore,” whispers Taeyeon; her hand releases Jessica and rests on Jessica’s waist. Taking a deep breath she leans in.
“Jessica!” She closes her eyes tightly and pulls away looking over Jessica’s shoulder to see Krystal leaning against the doorway smiling. “Welcome back…so how did your date go?” Jessica groans; she quickly turns around and shoves Krystal into her house shutting the door behind her.
Taeyeon stares at the white door. With another sigh of defeat for the night she backs away from the door and begins heading back to her car.
The door cracks open and Jessica slides out of the house. She looks around for her short girlfriend in dark spotting her by her car. “Taengoo,” she calls out causing for the older to stop walking with. With that Jessica makes her way to Taeyeon stopping in front of the girl, “what happened to the kiss?”
“Oh…I thought-“ Jessica raises a brow, “I mean…never mind,” states Taeyeon reluctantly.
They stand in silence looking at each other. The eye contact becomes too much and Taeyeon looks off to the side. “So…uh…”
“You’re really horrible at this relationship stuff,” comments Jessica. Taeyeon’s head snaps back towards Jessica, “but I guess that what makes it worthwhile. I get to teach you what I want and how I want it instead of dealing with someone who already has their own way of how they do things.”
Taeyeon scrunches her face. Last time Jessica said she was horrible Jessica wanted her to prove her wrong. Inhaling deeply, Taeyeon takes a step forward and leans in; her warm minty breath blankets Jessica’s lips as she captures them in a slow and deliberate pace.
Jessica’s eyes slowly close and her hands reach out grabbing hold of Taeyeon’s jacket as she returns the kiss; she tilts her head a little garnering better access as for herself.
The kiss becomes more enticing for both as Taeyeon attempts to perform a ’trick’ that Yuri taught her. She slowly begins teasing the younger girl by adding her tongue to the mix. Her tongue across Jessica lips before parting them; her fingers slither within her locks. A frustrated groan escapes from Jessica’s lips as Taeyeon pulls back with a triumphant grin. “Horrible huh?” she asks.
Jessica blinks a few times trying to recollect her thoughts. Where in the world did the midget learn to kiss like that? She shakes her head a little in hopes of speeding up the process. “Very…maybe you need more practice,” suggest Jessica.
“Practice? I’d like that. But only if you’re the tutor,” responds Taeyeon as she leans back in.
