Chapter Eleven

Jessica rolls over and looks at her clock to read that it was half past one. She groans and rolls out of bed; she makes her way out into the hall way only to hear laughter. She heads to the stair way and looks over the railing to see Tiffany smiling and giggling with Yuri, Taeyeon, and Hyoyeon. With a skeptical look she walks down the stairs and makes her way past the living where they were all sitting into the kitchen. Tiffany spots her sister and follows her into the kitchen only to see Jessica waiting for her arms crossed.

“What are they doing here?” asks Jessica.

“I invited Yuri over. She was hanging out with Taeyeon and Hyoyeon so they tagged along,” answers Tiffany.

“Why would you invite the lying idiot over?” questions Jessica.

“Because…she likes me,” replies Tiffany, “and I want to like her.” Jessica raises an eyebrow, “what?! You make it loud and clear that you don’t like me anymore. So if you’re moving on with a midget, I can do the same. Except mine’s not a midget,” smiles Tiffany as she turns around and leaves leaving a speechless Jessica. Jessica follows her sister out to the living room and watches as Taeyeon ignores her present. During which she took the time to examine the older girl. Something about her was different today.

“She’s looking at you,” whispers Hyoyeon to her older sister.

“I know,” remarks Taeyeon with a triumphant grin before looking at her phone. “Well we have to go.”

“Now?” asks Tiffany, “But I was actually having fun.”

“Yeah well…family business stuff,” states Taeyeon as she heads to the door still ignoring Jessica. “Yuri?”

“Oh...my father will just fill me in,” responds Yuri as she looks at the pouting Tiffany.

“Okay.” Taeyeon opens the door and leaves with Hyoyeon. As the closes with a click Jessica corners Yuri on the couch.

“Spill…I want to know everything about the midget and I want to know now,” states Jessica as Yuri cowers in fear.

“I told you already…if you’re interested just date this one. There is no reason to dig into her past and stuff.”

“Jessi,” whines Tiffany trying to get the older girl’s attention.

“I want to know,” growls Jessica.

“Jessi leave her alone,” states Tiffany. Jessica shoots a glare at Tiffany making the younger girl back down before turning back to Yuri.

“Spill now!” Yuri shakes her head. “Fine…I’ll figure it out on my own!” huffs Jessica as she storms back upstairs leaving the two younger girls down stairs. Tiffany turns to Yuri and shrugs her shoulders. They hear the bedroom door slam shut and open within a few seconds followed by the slamming of the bathroom door.

“I think she likes Taeyeon,” states Yuri.

“You think so?” questions Tiffany sounding slightly sad.

“Well…I don’t know…maybe…maybe not. But Taeng sure got her all riled up.” Jessica rushes down the footsteps and out the door with Tiffany and Yuri watching. Slamming the door shut Tiffany turns back to Yuri with a sad smile. “Well…um wanna go for a walk?” asks Yuri while standing up. Tiffany nods her head and grabs hold of Yuri’s hand allowing  for the younger girl to lead her out of the house.

Jessica heads towards the bus stop. She needed to get to the mall. There was a certain tall person who she wanted to question. As she rounds the corner to the bus stop she spots Taeyeon and Hyoyeon talking to some guy who was standing outside of a black car with tinted windows. She watches as Taeyeon and the male shake hands before the guy climbs back into the car and speed off leaving the girls at the bus stop. She waits a while before approaching the bus stop and to her surprise Taeyeon continues to ignore her. She could only roll her eyes as she stands a few feet away. As she turns her back to the girls Taeyeon looks over at her with a grin.

“If you want to talk to her go ahead. I won’t hold you to it,” whispers Hyoyeon.

“No. I want her to chase me.”

“Ignoring her won’t make her chase you. Tease her a bit,” states Hyoyeon while walking away a little. Taeyeon looks over at her sister before approaching Jessica and placing her hand on the younger girl’s back.

“Hi Jessica,” states Taeyeon happily. Jessica pushes Taeyeon’s hand away while rolling her eyes. “Jessica…why are you being so mean?”

“You were the one who was ignoring people,” states Jessica.

“But I thought I annoy you? So you want me to talk to you every time I see you?” questions Taeyeon while smiling.

“No.”

“Really? Okay.” Taeyeon prepares to leave and go back to her sister when Jessica grabs her wrist and drags her onto the bus that had just pulled up. “I thought-“

“You thought wrong,” mutters Jessica as she shoves the older girl into a seat before sitting next to her. Hyoyeon takes the seat across from them; her eyes never leave Jessica. “Who was that guy you was talking to?”

“Jealous?”

“No.”

“Really?”

“Yes Really. Now answer my question.”

“A family associate.” Jessica could only roll her eyes. “What he works with the family. Like Yuri, Sooyoung and Yoona’s family.”

“Why are you so secretive?” mutters Jessica.

“I’m not. You are.”

“What?”

“What’s the deal with your family?”

“I told you. Tiffany and I are sisters.” Taeyeon nods her head. “So what about your family?”

“My father is sort of like a business man. He does business but…” her voice trails off, “ And my mother’s a housewife and a daughter of a business well sort of a business man. That’s why we have a trust fund. And Hyoyeon’s my sister and we both work at the mall. I, the food court and her that shoe place.” Jessica eyes her before nodding her head.

“What’s the deal with you and your parents?”

“What do you mean?”

Jessica groans at the shorter girl’s ignorance. “That day you’re father was talking and your mood went sour.”

“Oh…it’s because he wants me to follow in his footsteps. I don’t agree. I don’t like his profession. In fact I wish he would change it. How else am I suppose to get a girl?”

“So you and Sunny?”

“Hyoyeon told you. I broke up with Sunny because I didn’t want to hurt her and some stuff.”

“What kind of stuff?”

“Do you like me?” asks Taeyeon changing the subject.

“W-what?” asks Jessica in disbelief. “Why would I like you?”

“Because you’re interested in my past,” remarks Taeyeon, “If you weren’t the slightest bit interested in me then you wouldn’t care for my past and what not.” Jessica sighs as she crosses her arms. “So if you don’t like me than don’t ask questions.”

The bus pulls up in front of the mall and Jessica stands up preparing to get off when Taeyeon pulls her back down. “What are you doing this is my stop.”

“I know. But I revealed a little too much, don’t you think Hyo?” Hyoyeon nods her head as Taeyeon smiles.

“What does that mean?” asks Jessica confused.

“Nothing.” Jessica tries walking away when Taeyeon when a girl takes her seat and giggles at Taeyeon. She glares at the girl as the bus pulls off. “Weren’t you getting off the bus?”

“I was until someone decided to flirt,” growls Jessica.

“Oh so you do like me,” a smile crosses Taeyeon face.

“No.”

“Fine,” Taeyeon turns back to the girl who was still giggling watching Jessica out of the corner of her eyes.

“You wouldn’t let me finish,” grits Jessica as she watches the bimbo put her hand on Taeyeon’s thigh.

“What is it then?” asks Taeyeon.

“We have a date and I’ll tell you the rest later.”

“Since when did we have a date?”

“Kim Taeyeon. You are taking me out on a date,” growls Jessica as she grabs Taeyeon’s hand snatching her out of her seat and off the bus with Hyoyeon following.

“Taeyeon…meeting,” states Hyoyeon as she looks around at their surroundings.

“I know. I know.”

“Thank you for being patient,” states Tiffany as she walks beside Yuri around the neighborhood.

“No problem,” responds Yuri as she looks over at Tiffany who was biting her bottom lip.

“It is a problem. Yuri everything is complicated.”

“How so?”

“I want to like you but I can’t. At least not yet.” Yuri nods her head.

“Well I think you do.”

“Hm?”

“You called me earlier asking for us to meet. And you’re hanging out with me right now. So I say you at least feel something, right?” Tiffany nods her head agreeing with the statement. “Well I’m hungry are you?” Tiffany nods her head again. “Alright let’s go.” As she prepares to lead Tiffany to a small restaurant her phone goes off. “S.O.S.?” She looks up at Tiffany. “I’m sorry but I have something I need to take care of. Maybe later on tonight?”

“Okay.” Yuri nods her head before running off down the street leaving Tiffany behind.

“Yoong!” shouts Sooyoung as she plows through the shoppers.

“I know I got!” shouts Yoona as she removes her hat and apron. “I wonder what happened now.” Sooyoung shrugs her shoulders as Yoona goes in the back before returning with another worker. “Okay let’s go.” She hops over the counter as they run out of the mall pushing through the crowd.

Sunny watches them speed by the door before sighing, “It seems Taeyeon has slipped.”

Yuri enters the manor breathless as she kneels over trying to catch her breath. “Hyo!” She hears footsteps as Hyoyeon rounds the corner. “What was the s.o.s. about?”

“Take a look,” Yuri straightens herself out and peeks over the couch that Hyoyeon was pointing at to see Jessica lying motionless.

“Oh you have to be joking? Really?”

“What’s the big deal!” shouts Sooyoung as she enters the manor with Yoona, “Whoa is that Jung?!”

“Where’s Taeyeon?” asks Yuri while looking around.

“In the meeting,” answers Hyoyeon.

“So what are we going to do about her?”

“Let her be. Taeyeon said she’ll handle it.”

“Is she even alive?” asks Yoona as she pokes Jessica.

“Yes. I didn’t kill her or anything. Just knocked her unconscious for the time being,” states Hyoyeon while crossing her arms.
