Shane

Today Kristan and Tristan turn 27 and I officially retired. Kristan took over The Blitz and Tristan was more into writing so he decided to write books. He sings well too. I am so proud of them. Taylor married Noah two years later. Bryon also worked it out with Leslie and they adopted a boy. Taylor and Noah had a girl Ruth and she is handling Skyler's business. Tyler and Scarlet had two sons, their eldest son Charlie took over Mom's restaurant '5 Spot'.
"Happy Birthday to the both of you."

Tristan

"Thank you, Dad."

Skyler

"Did he tell you?"

Shane

Skyler comes in and stands beside me and puts a hand around her.

Kristan

"Tristan's book got selected and he is going to be a published author now. They loved it."

Tristan

"Yeah. I got a call yesterday."

Shane

"I am so proud of you."

Tristan

"It wouldn't have been possible without your support. Thank you for always supporting me Mom and Dad."

Kristan

"How can you forget Anna?"

Anna

"I heard my name."

Skyler

"Hello, Anna. Are you enjoying the party?"

Anna

"Thank you for inviting me and Congratulations Tristan for your book. I told you you can do it."

Tristan

"Thank you, Anna. I will see you later."

Shane

"He likes this girl."

Kristan

"Yes. He won't admit."

Skyler

"Stop pulling his leg."

Tristan

"Thank you, Mom and she is just a friend. I will go see the others."

Kristan

"I have to introduce you to someone. Luke..."

Luke

"Hello there Mr. and Mrs. Smith."

Skyler

"Nice to meet you, Luke."

Shane

"And he is."

Luke

"I am her friend."

Kristan

"Boyfriend."

Shane

"What? Wait. I do know you. You are the same, Luke. The playboy, the most desired man in New york.Is with a new girl every night."

Kristan

"Dad. I like him."

Shane

"I don't allow this."

Skyler

"Shane. Calm down."

Kristan

"I am sorry Luke."

Luke

"Your Dad is right. I am not the right person for you. I am sorry Kristan. I am breaking this off with you."

Kristan

"Luke."

Luke

"Bye..."

Shane

"He was not right for you anyway and I am not listening to you Sky. You know I am right."

Kristan

"You scared him away. Why Dad?"

Skyler

After breaking up with her boyfriend on her birthday. She ran off.
"I will go see her."

Shane

"Alright."

Skyler

She ran off to the balcony and I go behind her.
"Kristan."

Kristan

"Go away, Mom. You are going to take his side anyway."

Skyler

I go and stand beside her. Holding the rail of the balcony.
"Fine. I will say what I have to. He cares for you. He doesn't want to see you hurt."

Kristan

"He chases away everyone I like."

Skyler

"I am not saying this to take his side but he is right. Luke is a bad influence. You know when you were a baby your Dad used to stay awake because you won't sleep without him."

Kristan

"He did?"

Skyler

I rub her back and continued.
"He loves you, Kristan. The idea of you moving away from him scares him and moreover, he doesn't want to see you hurt."
She hugs me and I hold her back. I then took her to Shane and then she hugged him.

Kristan

"I am sorry Dad. I know you care for me. I understand you."
Dad pulls back and wipes away my tears.

Shane

"I am sorry to always have chased out boys you like."

Kristan

"It's for the best. I love it when they are scared of you."

Skyler

They both laugh and makeup. I went to hug both of them.

Tristan

"You forgot me."

Kristan

"Come here."

Shane

We had a family hug and then cut the cake. I know now how it feels like when your kids grow up. It feels like yesterday.

Kristan

"Mom and Dad you both have to dance."

Shane

"Come Sky."
I take her hand and we danced along with the other couples in the room but I had my eyes on her. Nothing has changed, I love Skyler more and more every day.

Skyler

"Well, nothing changed. Except you are a little less handsome than before."

Shane

"You got the hang of it."

Skyler

"Yeah. I told you I will learn it eventually. I know how to read your mind."

Shane

"And about me being a little less handsome. I haven't changed a bit."

Skyler

"I was joking. You know that yet you will be childish and crib about it. Yes, nothing changed. You are the same Shane I crossed paths with."

Shane

"And you are the same beautiful Skyler I fell in love with."
She blushes and I smile looking at her.

Skyler

"I can't believe that Tristan and Kristan are 27 already."

Shane

"They did cut the cake with 27 candles so Yeah..."

Skyler

"Shane..."

The next day

Shane

We moved out again. Remember when I said we will buy a house by the beach after I retire. So here we are. I bought a house by the beach at my favorite spot which was empty for years but that also means that it won't be a secret anymore as people visit us. We did not sell the house we used to live in. It held so many memories of us. It was the first house I had bought with my own money and Skyler and I lived there which brought us together. We moved in here a couple of weeks ago and since then I would cook food for us watched movies and read books to each other. We went out to swim sometimes and I finally taught Skyler how to swim. She is no longer scared of the waters anymore. We watched sunsets together sitting out in the verandah drinking coffee or gazed at the starry sky at night and doze off to sleep in each other arms. I would go to The Blitz to help Kristan but she was efficient in her work and was managing everything very well but still, I liked to visit. Skyler would come with me too. We also visited Mom Dad who was chilling out too just like us. We would have a family dinner and it was so much fun. It was at that time everyone came together and had dinner and talked about everything till late nights. It was nice to meet them and talk about old times and it did make us feel old.

Skyler

This journey with Shane had never been a straight one but I would never trade it for anything else.
When I was sick or wanted ice cream at three in the morning. He always stuck my side. Sometimes I think about how he handles me yet he was always there. He did spoil our kids in their childhood by pampering them but he loves them so much. He was a gentle, protective, and caring father. I feel overwhelmed when his face lits up when he sees them. Look at where they are now. Tristan's book is going to be published soon and Kristan is the CEO of The Blitz. The Blitz, it holds so many memories of us. It is what brought us together. We visit there sometimes. Now we are sipping coffee, sitting on our chairs watching the sunset together as Shane said earlier.

Shane

"What are you thinking about Sky?"

Skyler

"About how we came here. Imagine if I never bumped into you that day."

Shane

"Easy.If you had not bumped into me that day. Tyler would have hired you anyways and instead of hating you, I would have fallen in love with you the moment I saw you."

Skyler

"Correct. We would have met either way."
Shane holds my hand and looks into my eyes and I blush.

Shane

"I love how you smile every time I look into your eyes."

Skyler

"Just tell me you love everything about me."

Shane

"I may have said it a million times already. I love you Sky."

Skyler

"I love you, Shane. You know ours was never a simple road. It was rocky and full of unexpected blocks and turns but I would rather take a long way with you than take a shortcut without you."

Shane

"I would do the same. I married Emily to save you. You know what a psychopath she was."

Skyler

"I know must have been pure torture but that one year apart made our love stronger than it was and made us realize how incomplete we are without each other."

Shane

"You complete me. You are not only an amazing wife but the best mom to Tristan and Kristan."

Skyler

"I could say the same about you. It's because of you. You bring out the best in me. Love like those in fairytales, movies, and books does exist. Not as easy as they show. Everyone has a unique story."

Shane

"Ours was Maybe Perfect..."
