1 and a half month later

Shane

"Ahh! Finally, I can walk without the plaster and eat with my own hand."

Skyler

"Yeah.Must feel great."
Its been a few weeks since that accident. Emily was behind bars on many charges like attempt to murder along with her friend Chris. Shane's and Emily's divorce was dealt with early because of Emily going to jail and things were falling back into place. I did take a break off work to take care of Shane. He officially moved in at my mansion. Officially because he was always here he just had to bring his things with him. As for Noah, he moved out. I haven't had the time to meet him lately but I heard he is dating somebody and I am happy for him. Everything is great but there was something left.

Shane

"Well, I do miss the plaster. I miss it because you had to feed me because of it."

Skyler

"Too bad."

Shane

"Now where are we going today? It's always me who plans. The roles are reversed."

Skyler

"I am not telling you."

Shane

"It was very smart of you to blindfold me since the beginning. So I can't show you the puppy eyes. You don't play fair, Sky."

Skyler

"I can't resist those eyes. Enough talking. We are five minutes away from our destination."

Shane

"Sky you are killing me. Can you at least give me a hint where we are going?"

Skyler

"Now you realize what it felt when you used to blindfold me. Can you stop talking for a minute? Blah blah blah."
Shane pouts and sits on his seat crosses his arms on his chest. He looks so cute when he is angry.

Shane

"Okay. I am not talking to you."

Skyler

"You look so cute now."

Shane

"Excuse me, you are talking to me."
The car comes to a halt and Skyler kisses my cheek. She gets down, opens the car door, and helps me get out. We walk a little bit and she pauses.

Skyler

"We are here. You can open the blindfold."

Shane

"Finally."
I take off my blindfold. I was shooked. I was not expecting this. We were at the lake, the same lake when I confessed my love for Skyler the day at the Gala. It was the same place but so different. I shouldn't be that excited that she brought me here. I was amused by the preparations she did. There was a small pavilion built up and it was shining bright of the fairy lights and small wooden lanterns it was decorated with. It was so well decorated. There was a path made with rose petals and scented candles which smelt like Skyler's perfume on the border. We walked to the pavilion on the path. The scenery was so beautiful. This and the beautiful lake with the moonlight reflecting in the waters. It was perfect. I can't forget any of this. I wanted to click a picture with my eyes and save it permanently in my memory. We were now standing at the pavilion holding hands. How did she manage to pull this off without me knowing about it? I didn't even suspect anything. I don't have words...

Skyler

"How do you like the surprise?"

Shane

"Its Wow..."
Then I turn to her and now she was on her knees. I now know what this is about. The fancy clothes, blindfold, and decoration. I kneeled down and held her hand in mine. It was really unexpected. I mean it was supposed to happen someday and it should have been me but I don't know I am just overwhelmed.

Skyler

"You probably know by now what I am going to ask. I know girls normally don't do this but I am. Shane, we have had our ups and downs but it has only made our relationship stronger. I realized we can overcome anything together. You were my boss, then a friend. Never had I expected to fall in love with my boss that to a possessive and stubborn one."
He laughs at this statement and I continue trying to stop my tears from flowing.
"You are my best friend, my soulmate, and my other half not to forget my enemy. You were always there and it was because of you I could fight back cancer. You are my strength...
I don't have enough words to describe you but here are some. You are the most caring, loving, generous, humble, kind, and not to forget the handsome, stubborn, annoying, and funniest man I have ever met not to forget how insanely jealous you get when I talk to other guys. I am going to say this but I kind of like it. You made me feel how it feels to be loved. You pamper me and have made me realize my real worth. I am so lucky to have found you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
As much as I know what your answer is gonna be, I have to ask. WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

Shane

"Then I will have to prove you wrong."

Skyler

"Answer me already."

Shane

"No..."

Skyler

I was ready to shed my happy tears and jump with excitement and think about our marriage and he says no.
"What? I plan all of this. Get on my knees and prepare a speech and you say no. I hate you so so much and just so you know I am pregnant."

Shane

"Getting a taste of your own medicine. Imagine how I felt when you said no for the first time. Wait what..."
I was playing with her. She did say no first then it takes a second for me to realize what she said last. Did she really say she was pregnant or my ears are ringing?

Skyler

"You are going to be a father and would have become a husband too if you said yes."

Shane

She beats me by punching my stomach crying and I pull her close to me taking her in my arms. I don't know what I am feeling now. I am going to be a father. I am going to have a baby with Sky.

Skyler

"How to mean of you. You are annoying and your pranks. Who even pranks about his own death? I hate you."

Shane

"A few seconds ago. You said you love me and now you say you hate me. Do you think I can refuse the proposal of the most pretty, beautiful, and adorable girl and also when she is pregnant with my child? Without a doubt. I will marry you."

Skyler

"Still you are annoying, stubborn, and possessive. Whatever you are, YOU ARE MINE."

Shane

After that, we kissed each other. Tears streamed down my eyes. They were tears of happiness. Never had I expected to fall in love but ever since I met her I immediately fell head over heels in love with her. They are right, it only takes the right person for you to believe it.
"I am sorry but I wasn't prepared for this so I don't have a ring. This feels incomplete now."

Skyler

"About that. Wait a second."

Shane

She stands up and tries to find something in her purse.
"I can't believe you bought yourself an engagement ring."

Skyler

"No. Here it is."

Shane

She hands me over a ring and it was the same ring which I proposed a year ago. I kneeled down on my knees and held her hand.
"Will you marry me?"

Skyler

"We already did this."

Shane

"Now, we have the ring so."

Skyler

"Yes."

Shane

I slid the ring on her finger and kissed her. Now we are together without anyone or anything getting in between us. It's going to be me and her and the upcoming member of our family. I am going to be a dad. It's the second-best thing that happened to me. First being engaged to Sky...
