"It just takes some time,

Skyler

We all listened to the doctor and I couldn't believe my ears. I take a step back. I was traumatized. It was hard for me to believe what he said. I fell on my knees.No no no this can't happen. Shane can't leave me too. Not like this. Everything was so perfect again. We were going to be married and no...I could hear everyone's sobs and cries listening to the news. Everything was so fine. Things were finally on track and Shane leaves me too. I don't know what to do next. Tears can't stop running down my eyes. Eveytime I used to cry Shane used to be with me wiping away my tears with his hands and held me comforting me until I stopped crying. Everyone was devastated. David sits down on his knees and holds me as I hug him breaking down into tears.

David

"Skyler, calm down."

Skyler

I refuse to believe this. I stood up and pushed everyone on my way to the operation theater. I have to see him.

Doctor

"You cannot go in there."

Skyler

But I didn't listen to him and entered in. He was laying on the bed with his eyes closed. I can't believe he is gone. I go near him and call out for him and he didn't answer. I was trembling. My hands were shaking and it felt like the ground was slipping from my feet. I have never in my life seen him like this, so silent. The thought of never going to see him smiling at me, complimenting me, and to not feel his touch was too much to bear. I cannot imagine my life without him in it. I couldn't hold myself in. I couldn't stop my tears from falling down. I remember today morning when he was leaving. He said with a smile.'I will be back those were his last words. I take his hand in mine holding it tightly.
"Shane, you cannot leave me now that things are perfect and when we were finally going to be together. I can't lose you again. I can't. I won't be able to bear the loss of losing you again. Open your eyes, Shane. Come back to me. You said you will be back. I didn't even get the chance to say I love you..."
My face hung down laying on his bed as tears streamed down my eyes. I couldn't see his face knowing he can't talk to me and smile looking at me. Then I heard his voice. I stand up in my position. I rub my eyes to see if it's true. He was awake and talking to me. I wasn't dreaming.

Shane

"Then you can tell me now."

Skyler

"You aren't dead. You are alive. This has to be a miracle. I should call the doctor now."
He smiled looking at me and I was so happy, he wasn't dead. He is here with me. As soon as I get up he holds my hand and smiles sitting upon his bed.

Shane

"I wasn't really dead. I told the doctors to lie to you."

Skyler

"What the fuck?Are you serious? I was so worried thinking you were really gone and you were pranking us. I can't believe you."

Shane

"You were worried about me."

Skyler

"Well everyone is and why wouldn't they be? We just got the news that you were dead. What were you expecting? We will be smiling and joking about it. I was so scared. Does this seem like a joke to you?"
I stood up and walk away folding my arms on my chest. I was so scared. I can't believe he was joking about his death. He stood up from his bed walking towards me. He had a fracture on his right hand and his leg so he was limping. With the help of his left hand, he turned me around and held my cheek with his left hand. His forehead was bandaged.

Shane

"I am sorry."

Skyler

He was genuinely sorry. He smiled looking at me and I was wondering how can someone still look good so injured in those blue hospital clothes. He has a plaster on his leg and a sling on his hand. His forehead was all bandaged up yet he looked so attractive. This is so unfair. All he has to do is smile and show me those puppy eyes and all my anger vanishes into thin air. I hugged him and he held me with his only hand which was free. He was fine.
"You scared me."

Shane

"Owww..."

Skyler

"I am sorry. Am I hurting you?"

Shane

"No. ALL MY PAIN VANISHES AWAY WHEN I AM WITH YOU."

Skyler

"Now you shouldn't stand for long.Sit down."

Shane

Skyler helps me sit on the bed and then I pull her close to me.
"Now you know you cannot get rid of me that easily."

Skyler

He said laughing at me pulling me close to him and I give him a stare but then I smiled. He is fine and with me.
"Shane..."

David

(Cough cough)
"Are we interrupting something?"

Shane

I pull Skyler close to me with my one hand when I heard a cough. When I take a look at the door, everyone was standing. I left Skyler and she stands beside me.
"No, not at all. She was helping me to sit."

Ava

"I wish I could ground you forever for the prank you just pulled."

David

"Not at all funny."

Tyler

"You scared us to death."

Taylor

"Yeah. You should have seen the doctor when he told her the truth. I don't know about you but he was getting ready for his death."

Shane

"I am sorry. I can only imagine but now I know you both love me."

Taylor

"Oh not at all."

Tyler

"Those were fake tears."

Shane

"I know you are lying."

Everyone laughs

Skyler

We were all happy and relieved to see Shane was fine. Yes, he was a little injured but he will be fine in a couple of weeks. We all laughed when Shane was trying to prove himself right and while Tyler and Taylor denied his requests. They might not show and tell them face to face but deep down they loved each other and I am glad I could be a part of this family. We were all talking and having a lovely time when Emily barges in. Great, now she gets the time to come visit. I wasn't surprised that no one informed her about her husband's accident. I know it's a fake marriage but still, Shane was her husband. I bet she was busy with shopping or getting her nails done.

Emily

"I was at the mall shopping and as soon as I heard I rushed back here."

Skyler

See, I told you. Everyone was giving her death glares and she stood there confused as to what was happening because she didn't know we all knew the truth.

David

"We should give you some time alone."

Skyler

I am glad David said that or she might have been killed by our stares by now. We all start to leave when Shane holds me back by getting a hold of my wrist pulling me close to him. He then sits on the edge of the bed and makes me sit beside him putting his hand on my waist. I look back at him and he nods telling me let me handle it.
I then take a look at Emily who was boiling to see Shane pulling me to him.

Shane

"No, You stay here."
I pull Skyler close to me and held her by her waist then look at Emily. I don't how she feels seeing us like this. What is she doing here? It's not like she cares. Now that she is here. Let's finish this chapter now.
"What brings you here, Emily?"

Emily

"I am your wife and I love you. Of course, I will come here to see you."

Shane

"I doubt that. I am sure you said that to the other two boys you cheated me with not that I am sad about it."

Emily

"What are you talking about?"

Shane

"Does the name Chris and Michael ring a bell?"

Emily

How does he know about Chris and Michael? I never called them at our place when he was going to be home. Mostly I always met them at the hotel or their home. I am sure Skyler has a hand in this. All of this wouldn't have happened in the first place if she didn't come back.

Shane

"The expression on your face says clearly. You don't have to hide it anymore. I know."

Emily

"You signed a contract."

Shane

"What contract Emily? It's not valid anymore after you cheated. I can get rid of you now. I will send you the divorce papers as soon as possible."

Emily

"I will not sign them."

Shane

"Well, you have to."

Skyler

I didn't speak in between. It was something they had to deal with themselves. It was a little bit related to me or maybe a lot because of me but it didn't matter. I let Shane handle it. The audacity of this woman to argue even after the truth is out. I stood there silently watching them argue. When she was left with nothing to say she turned it on me.

Shane

"You can start by getting out of here."

Emily

"This is all because of you. You whore.Everything was fine between us before you stepped into our life. Finally, when you leave, we got married and we were happy but you come back again separating us. You have Shane under your spell and I lost him. Shane believes me, she is a liar. She is cheating on you too. Look at these pictures. A slut.We all know Noah is a film director who is loaded. She is a gold digger after your money. You should be satisfied with what you have. You are the CEO of a million-dollar company yet you want more."

Shane

She shows me some photos in which Noah was hugging Skyler. I don't understand what language she is going to understand. It would have been fine if she talked about me but I won't listen to another ill word about Skyler.
"Stop Emily, enough of your nonsense. I was never yours. How dare you talk about Skyler like that?"

Emily

"Now you are defending her. She is the reason you are here. I tampered the brakes of her car so that she gets out of our way but instead you took her place and Thank God, nothing happened with you."

Skyler

Listening to Emily, hurt me like hell. It was worse. I don't know what to say. She tried to kill me and Shane is here now because of me. Thank God he is just injured and nothing much happened but nothing would have happened if I...Tears blurred my vision but I tried not to break down in front of her. What wrong had I done? I fell in love with Shane. Was it my fault that Shane loved me and not her? I can't believe she is the same person who saved me last year. Shane had to leave his work for me when I was sick. He got married to Emily because of me. Not only me my parents made his parents miserable. It was all because of me. I couldn't say anything. Shane was arguing with Emily and I couldn't hear a word of it. I was blank. She is just one person. There may be thousands who shared the same views as her when they saw our photos on TV and social media.

Shane

"I can't believe you would actually do that. Yeah, sure I was expecting you to do something but taking someone's life. I will make you pay for everything you did. Tyler..."
I can't believe this. It could have been Skyler in my place and things could have been worse. I am not going to leave her. She will pay for everything she did. I call for Tyler and he rushes in.

Tyler

"You called for me. I was about to come in. The cops are here to ask about the accident."

Shane

"That's great because Emily here has a holiday planned in jail."
She tries to run and Tyler got hold of her. The cops entered in and I explained everything that she confessed. They took a look at the CCTV and arrested her.

Emily

"You can't do this."

Shane

"I should have done this long ago."
After everyone left. I was left alone with Skyler. She was quiet all this while and I could hear her sobs but I had to handle this thing with Emily. I knew she will blame herself for everything. I knew even though whatever Emily said was rubbish but it did hurt her. While I was giving my statement to the cops she went away and stood by the window. I walked towards her limping and just hold her from behind and she broke down. She was holding her tears for a long and I just hold her back till she calms down.

Skyler

"It should have been me. It's all my fault. You have to suffer all because of me. All of this wouldn't have happened if I weren't in your life. I don't deserve you, Shane. I am not good enough for you. You are such a nice human being. I have only caused you pain. Look at you now. I only bring bad luck. Nothing goes right when I am with you. On top of that, I doubted you when you were doing all of this for me."

Shane

I let her speak and let out everything. I knew she will blame herself. After she finished speaking. I wipe her tears with my only hand and kissed her forehead.
"Bad things don't last forever. Sky, you are the best thing that has happened to me. You mean the world to me. Don't let her words affect you. I am so lucky to have you and I don't regret it for a second. I don't care what others think. I love you for who you are. It was my decision of letting Emily come in between us and I wish I could go back in time to change it. I should have fought back for us. Don't blame yourself. You are everything to me. I love you Sky."

Skyler

Shane's words calmed me down. He always knows how to do that. I should not let other people come in between us. What really matters is us and not others. People come, say, and go but the Us is forever. Now that Emily is gone I will make things right for us.
"Yakışıklı adamsın.Seni çok seviyorum."

Shane

"This is what I get after I spoke about how much I love you. I didn't understand a word you said."

Skyler

The confused look on his face made me laugh. So I wanted to pull his leg even more. It's not that intense. It's only fair after he pranked his own death.
"Je t'aime.Ti amo."

Shane

She starts speaking to me in languages I may have heard before but I am confused. I am trying to figure out what she was saying and she was laughing. I was happy that my confusion made her laugh.
"As much as I like the sound of the words coming out of your mouth. I would like to know what they mean."

Skyler

"Alright.Yakisikli adamsin.Seni cok Seviyorum is Turkish which means.
You are a handsome man. I love you very much."

Shane

"Wow. I know nothing except English."

Skyler

"Je t'aime is I love you in French and Ti Amo is I love you in Italian."

Shane

"You amaze me every time."

Skyler

"You are the reason."
