Shane had made up his mind that he would make me say yes anyhow. He had been planning everything beforehand. Everyone was in on this and he had started preparing for the wedding before I said yes.

He just wanted me to say yes officially.

After the proposal, Shane got busy with the preparations. He didn't let me work anything and in spite being busy with the preparations. He didn't forget about my doctor's appointments and my medicines on time.

The only thing I had to do was tasting cake which was arranged at home so I don't have to stress much and the most important thing. The wedding dress...

Emma had three to four wedding dress designed for me. She came in with the dresses and I tried them on and the second one was it. I knew this was the one. Shane begged us to show him the wedding dress but customs are customs.

And very soon time flew by. Tomorrow we were getting married. Shane started arguing when he wasn't allowed in my room because its the night before the wedding. I didnt want eyebags under my eyes on my wedding day. It was late and I was about to sleep when I heard a knock on the door.

I open the door to see it was Tyler.
He had a envelope in his hand. He hands it to me and winks.
"I don't have to tell you who its from." Shane. I smiled at him and hugged him as he went off to sleep.

Jumping on my soft bed I open the envelope and read the letter.

I was laughing at the end. Not because he was being too cute.
I take my phone and call him. I wasn't surprised when he picked up in the second ring. "You know you could have just called." I chuckle.

"A letter seemed romantic to me."
I could see him smiling without seeing him. I blushed at his efforts.
He continued "From tomorrow no one can stop me from seeing you. I will always be beside you." He says and I smiled. I am getting married tomorrow which still seemed like a dream to me. "That's practically impossible you know. What if you had to go abroad for a business meeting?"

"As my assistant and wife you need to accompany me." He answers.
"You should fire me for not working without informing."

He laughs and we talked on the phone for what seemed like hours and I don't know when I went off to sleep...

Morning

"Rise and shine, princess.Its time to wake up. I can't believe you are still sleeping." Taylor tries waking me up as I squint my eyes at the bright sunlight peeking in though the windows. It is morning already.
Hailey squeals in excitement."It's your wedding day."

I grumble and look at the time in my phone."Its 6 in the morning Taylor."

She glares at me as if I had committed some sin."That's what."

"It's six already. We are an hour late." Hailey raised her tone.
I plead but they were in no mood to listen"Can I sleep for another hour please?"

Emma enters in the room and she yells as I was intimidated by three ladies who were shooting death glares at me."No."

"Fine. I don't have a choice. Do I?"

"You are right." They said it all together.

It was not because I wanted to sleep. I was having slight chest pain and I was exhausted with all the preparations.

Of course, no one knew. I didn't want to worry Shane. I did go for a checkup but it was quite normal nowadays and today I am getting married to the love of my life. There is nothing that can stop us and ruin the day for us.

It was my day. The day Shane and I
were waiting for days. I start getting ready by taking a bath first and then everyone helped me getting ready.

My wedding dress was designed by Emma herself. Shane can't do it. You cannot see the wedding dress before the wedding. Right?

They helped me with the make up and hair style and it was according to my preference. All this while I couldn't stop smiling. A girl dreams of her wedding all her life. It was hard to believe.

"And finally after hours makeup is done, hairstyle check, dress check, heels check." Hailey looked at me in awe and I wanted to see myself in the mirror. It was my wedding day and I still felt all of it as a dream.

"The veil and the corsage is here. Let me help you with it." Emma pins my veil to my hair and the corsage in my hand."and it's done."

"You look beautiful, Skyler." She exclaims as she takes a look at me. I could see Hailey tearing up. With no friends or siblings. I asked Taylor to be my maid of honor and Hailey and Emma to be my bridesmaid. "Indeed. I have never seen a beautiful bride like you."

"Thank you so much." I stood up and look in the mirror and gasped. When I tried the wedding gown fot the measurements I knew it was the one but it didn't compared to how I looked now. I was in awe with myself and I couldn't wait to get a reaction from Shane as he sees me in the wedding gown.

I look at my right and left to see Hailey, Emma and Taylor all dressed up in matching outfits as we all smiled. My heart was beating fast and I felt a sudden ache which made me feel dizzy.
I slip and Taylor got hold of me.
"Are you fine? You don't look well."

I take a few deep breaths keeping in mind about me getting married.
"Just feeling a little dizzy. Can you pass me some water?" Taylor passes me the water bottle and I take a sip while sitting on the chair. I cannot let anything spoil my wedding day.

"Are you sure? Should I inform Shane?" She looked at me concerned and Shane shouldn't know of this for he would get all nervous and worried. I want this day to go without any interruptions and worry.

"No. You are worrying over nothing.No need to tell Shane."
Come on Sky, it's your big day. You cannot be sick today. You have to be fine. She wasn't convinced yet agreed to me."If you say so. We will go check. You wait here. Its almost time."

As the others left. I sat there like a shy bride waiting for my call. I was missing my grandma so much and I could feel tears in my eyes. If I have lost my family, I am creating one today.

David is going to walk me down the aisle as I had no one. I couldn't ask for more. I had everything I want. Today I will be Skyler Smith. Today will be the beginning of us.

"Are you ready Skyler?" I heard a voice as he came in through the door. I nodded smiling getting up from the chair."Yes."

"You look wonderful, Skyler." He kissed my forehead and I could no longer feel the void of a missing father."You can call me Dad now. You are like my daughter just like Taylor."

"Yes, Dad." I smiled.

"Let's go."

This is it. I take in Dad's hand as we entered in. The musicians played a soft melody. All eyes were on me and I was smiling like there was no tomorrow. My chest was paining but I ignored it because I was so happy.

I see Shane at the end of the aisle and I could see a wide smile form on his face. I could see tears trickling down as he saw me and my eyes were watering up. Never had I thought I would get married and now here I am. I feel so grateful and lucky to have found Shane.

I was trembling and Dad seemed to have noticed it. As we stood in front I saw the worried look on Dad's face. "Skyler, Are you fine? You are trembling and you are out of breath."

I smiled. I can do this.
"I am fine." Dad gave my hand to Shane and he took my hand.

"You look perfect." He whispered in my ear and I smiled as the priest started with the ceremony.

I stood facing him. I clearly couldn't hear him say anything. All I could see was a hazy vision of Shane. I tried hard to ignore it and kept a smile on my face. I felt a throbbing pain in my chest and I took deep breaths smiling at Shane. I could feel my pulse increasing second by second.

I held his hand more like gripping it for support."Sky, Are you..."
I feel him tensed up but I gave him a faint smile to assure him.
"I am fine. Go on." I look at the priest to continue.

"Just hold my hand, Shane."

"You don't seem fine." He comes close holding me and asks the priest to wait. I could hear someone say from the crowd but I didn't have the energy to turn who it was."Is everything alright?"

I tried hard to keep my eyes open. I was feeling dizzy. The throbbing pain in my chest wasn't helping either. I could hear everyone's muffled voices. It took all of my strength left in me to stand straight. I wanted to stay calm but even Shane couldn't calm me. I held Shane's hand firmly who was patting my back. He yells.
"Call the ambulance now."

"Shane, I amm fine." There was this uneasy feeling in my chest that terrified me. I was supposed to get married today. This wasn't suppose to happen. We should be husband and wife by now but things seemed to go as plan.

I start coughing vigorously and I could hear everyone gasped for now I was coughing out blood. It went on for a while and Shane held me throughout. Everything in me weighed me down. I lost all my energy and couldn't stand.

"Sky, Open your eyes." I was on Shane's lap as I saw the tears running down his eyes, those very brown eyes I found soothing were filled with tears and I saw the fear in his eyes. He tried to be strong and not break down in front of me but I knew him well.

I was scared of everything that was happening. The pain in my chest grew second by second and I felt this is it. This is where I die. I couldn't bare the pain anymore. I didn't have the energy to keep my eyes open but I looked at Shane.

"I couldn't do it. I ruined everythingg.I can'ttt take thiss painn anymore.It's killing meee. I amm goiing to diee." I choked on my words as blood stained his suit. It was horrifying.

"Nothing is ruined. You are here. I am here. You are not going to die, Sky. Everything is going to be fine."
He says as tears fell down his cheeks. I looked at his face one more time for it could be the last time. With all the strength left in me I lift my hand and wipe the tears in his eyes as fresh tears formed in his eyes.

Seeing him break down like this was the reason I was conflicted. When I said yes I didn't knew it would be this hard. A tear fell down my cheek and I smiled.
"Shanne, I lovvee yyouu..."

Slowly I closed my eyes and everything went black.
