McCoy (8)
I put my phone in a pocket before I opened the door. His office was on the other side of the meeting area from the alpha's office. While the alpha was out with his mate, I was in charge, so the best place to be was in the beta office. I had Max call Andrew's parents to see if they wanted to clear out his rooms and office, but they declined. That left cleaning it out to me. I sent Taylor to the apartment to start cleaning out one of the bedrooms for himself.
The door had a carved waterfall on it. I opened the door, unsure what I expected, but not this plain office. He wasn't a nice man, so this functional office was odd. There was an oversized brown leather couch on the far wall. A bar area had a coffee machine and several bottles of alcohol on it. Looking more, he saw scattered drinking glasses and a few ashtrays around. The smell of cigarettes was still in the air, making him gag. The desk was to the left of the door, and a massive leather desk chair was the same color as the couch. Other couches and chairs have cracks in the leather from use without care. On the other side of the desk were two folding chairs for meeting with pack members.
I walked to the other side of the room to open the window. Everything in here had to go because this smell had to go. The floor was carpeted, which is odd because no other room in the pack house was. I then cut on the light and noticed most of the bulbs were working but not bright. I am guessing to hide the stains on everything.
The faster I packed his things, the faster I could eliminate everything else. I pulled out the phone again and texted Max to ask Andrew's parents if they wanted the big furniture. I put the phone back in my pocket when I smelled her. I opened up the packing boxes, hoping I needed to be corrected. His desk seemed to have no reason or rhythm to the papers strung on it. So I started packing them up; going through them was a job after I had a set up in the room.
Her smell was getting closer. I hoped she would see Darrel and Max, but my wolf wanted her to come to see us. After boxing the papers up haphazardly, I moved on to the bookshelf. None of the books were about the pack. Most seemed to be history books, and none of their spines were cracked. So they were for the show they can go to the parent then.
I heard my door open while taking books and packing them away. I didn't turn to look. Another box appeared next to the one I was filling. She didn't say anything. She just started packing up knick-knacks and mugs around the room. She grabbed another box and packed the coffee machine, then the alcohol and ashtrays.
She then grabbed all three boxes and took them outside of the room. The air was starting to clear up.
"That's better now, isn't it?" She asked over my shoulder. Her hands were rubbing my arm.
"What" I gasped out, trying to control my wolf.
"You were gagging, so I got rid of the ashtrays and anything else I could smell." She whispered, still with her hand on my arm.
"You shouldn't be here. I'm busy," I gritted my teeth as I spoke.
"I'm helping." She was getting closer and closer.
"This is a bad idea. I could hurt you." I turned to her. She reached for my face, trying to comfort me, but her touching me made it worse. I pushed her back, but she gripped my arm and bounced right back into my chest. Her arms were on my shoulders, and mine braced her as she hit me.
"You will only hurt me if you want to. I trust you." She reached out, and this was the last straw. "I trust you."
"Roe," I growled when my wolf felt my resistance slip. He lunged for her, pushing her against the desk. My wolf was frantic, worried that I would take control and force him to stop, but with her responding so willingly, I let him take the lead. I pushed the papers I needed to sort and threw them off the desk, hoping they fell into a box so there was less cleanup. She or me, I'm not sure who got her up on the desk. Laying back and taking my mouth with her. My hands were traveling on her body, catching on her shirt as it was in the way. My kisses traveled to her neck when she tilted her head to the side, inviting me to do so. She gripped and pulled my hair, pulling me to herself. I was attacking her neck when I felt my fangs push through; I was far too excited. I turned my head to the side when I smelled it.
"disgusting!"
"what" When I pulled away, she curled up like a pillbug and looked around for the source of my disgust. I yanked her off the desk and sniffed it again. The cigarette smoke was embedded in this beautiful desk. I looked at the surface and saw the damage from liquids being left to sit on it; my guess based on the smell was alcohol.
"seriously, you stop to sniff a desk."
"I..." I glanced at her and saw that her button-up shirt was undone. My wolf worked faster than I realized. "I..."
"Brother." The door swung open, and Taylor waltzed in, eliciting a scream from Roe and leaving me frozen in the middle."
