"Please don't leave me like this..." you cried softly glaring at him unconscious.
"Heh don't cry (y/n) I- " He coughed. "I'm happy I got to see you one las-" The boy had suddenly passed. You were still crying.
"If only I would have came sooner!" You shouted as you cried into his lifeless body. You wanted to just stay there forever and fall into oblivion, but you knew his father would try to cover it up. You kissed the blonde boy's bruised face and ran as fast as you could to the nearest phone. The police arrived, the boy's father had been arrested, but in the end you weren't able to save him.

-Time Skip 1 Year Later-

You had just began school again, now 14, you were on your way out to meet up with your only friend (f/n) It was hard for you to open up to somebody new. After your best friend had died due to his abusive father, you were hesitant.

"(Y/N) over here!" a cheery voice yelled.
"I'm coming (f/n)!" You smiled back at them and began to walk to school.

-Another POV-

"Ay Yukine! Whatcha staring at?" Yato said trying to think up a scheme to make him famous.
"Oh um nothing in particular." He watched as two middle schoolers were walking down the street.
Yato knew he could never tell Yukine his real name or anything about his old life, but he noticed the girl from his flashbacks.
"Hey Yukine, don't be down haha! Hiyori can totally tutor you whenever you want!" The God smiled cockily.
"Yeah yeah I know." Yukine shrugged and put his hands in his pockets.
"It's not that." He sighed.
"Oh then why are you stinging me Huh?" He teased his regalia.
"That girl was kind of cute, okay..." Yuki blushed and looked away.
"Not that it matters, I'm dead..." He said running off.

-At School-
"Ugh not another te-" You stopped talking and watched as the windows exploded and broke.
"(Y/N) are you okay?! Your only friend said as they pulled you under the desk with them. You nodded, but something was off. Why could you here him screaming?
"It's not fair! You have everything and I have nothing, because I'm dead!"
It rung through your ears as you began to cry. You curled up, remembering everything you tried to forget that horrific night.

-Time Skip Another Year Later-
"Pfft one more year and we'll be in high school (y/n)." (f/n) said.
"Haha yeah, should be fun." you said walking to class.
"Oh and (y/n) Happy Birthday!" (F/n) took out a small present for you and smiled. "Happy 15th!" They said.
