Twenty minutes after Hoseok bounced his way into Jeongguk's place, they were sitting on the floor of Jeongguk's living room, leaning against the couch and each other.

"So we need to find out who it is?"

"Yes," Jeongguk nodded, breath catching in his throat from their proximity, which seemed so much more prominent now that Hoseok was facing his direction. It was like looking directly into the sun. "And we don't necessarily need to do anything with the information, but I think Namjoon-hyung needs to know, and he can decide if he wants to act on it."

"How are we going to go about acquiring this information?"

"Steal hyung's phone, of course."

"Jeongguk!"

"How else would we do it?" Jeongguk defended himself, both verbally and physically against Hoseok's words and his pokes.

"A moral way?"

"Oh yeah, that'd go great. 'Hey, Namjoon-hyung, can we have your phone to stalk the person who tried to ruin your relationship with your best friend, in the process probably going through most of your texts and apps?'"

"You're too much, Jeon Jeongguk," Hoseok snorted, crossing his arms.

"You love it," Jeongguk countered, feeling bold.

"I do." Hoseok pinched Jeongguk's cheek, then leaned slightly forward. (Why was it suddenly so warm in here, Jeongguk wondered.) "Alright, you get the phone somehow. I give you permission."

"Yeah. Because I needed your permission."

You're probably going to need someone to distract Namjoon," Hoseok continued, ignoring Jeongguk, "maybe Yoongi and Jimin will do it. And once we have the phone in our possession, we stalk the person until finding out who they are and why they did it."

"Sounds like a plan."

"Alright. Now onto more serious topics." He got closer. (How? Why?) "Are we gonna have matching detective uniforms?"

"Do you want them?"

"Very much so."

"Then yes."

"What's our theme song gonna be?"

"You pick."

And the resulting grin thrown his way was worth it, even if it meant he had to listen to The Imperial March (which wasn't even, like, a good crime-solving theme song) every time they talked.
