"Okay..." Maya began as she, Cordelia, and Nile sat near a statue in the square outside the Mermaid Castle. "If you were to steal a crown, where would you hide it?"

"I'd frame someone I didn't like." Cordelia mumbled as she stared at her pink tail.

"It'd depend on if I was working for someone or not." Nile replied "If I was working for someone, I'd try to get it to them as quick as possible, or use someone to get it to them." Nile paused for a moment "On the other hand, if I were working alone, I'd take it out of town, head towards another kingdom."

"You've got a point Nile," Maya started, "We should check outside of town, maybe near that big canyon between the two sides of Atlantis."

"No one's allowed in The Crevasse, The Kraken's cave is down there, anyone who goes in, never returns."

"Then how do you know there's a kraken down there?" Maya smirked as she swam in the direction of the Canyon "C'mon, have a sense of adventure!"

Nile sighed and followed Maya, and he was soon followed by Cordelia. "Yipee, we're all gonna die." the blonde mumbled as she followed Nile and Maya.

The group swam for a while, until they reached the huge crack, right next to the bridge that connected the sides of Atlantis. "This is a terrible idea." Nile said worriedly.

"We'll be fine. Let's go!" Maya exclaimed excitedly as she swam into the dark crevasse.

"We could just let her go down alone." Cordelia suggested.

"No, I'm going with her." Nile insisted as he started to follow Maya "You can go back if you want."

Cordelia sighed "Fine, what's the point in letting her die alone."

Nile and Cordelia dove into the dark waters below. "Maya? Where you at?"

"Over here! I found something with a light!" The redhead called back.

"Careful! It might be-"

"Giant angler fish!!!!!" Maya screamed as she swam back over to Cordelia and Nile "What're we gonna do!?"

"Get behind me!" Nile exclaimed as he summoned a spear out of the water

"Whoa! What?"

"All mermaids can summon weapons, and some sirens can as well." He explained as he prepared to fight the giant fish "I'm not gonna be able to stop it on my own, 'Delia, you wanna help?"

"I'd rather not." Cordelia mumbled as she picked at her nails, "But I guess I need to live long enough to inherit my kingdom's throne." the blonde rolled her eyes and summoned a wakizashi sword "Let's get this over with."

Maya watched as the two others battled the fish. "Can I help?" She called.

"No! Just stay back!" Nile yelled to her, "You could get hurt!"

Maya frowned. She hated having to stay back. "I can help!" She saw a small flicker of light a few feet away.

"You better not! Stay over there!"

"I'm gonna help!" The redhead swam over to the flickering light, it was slightly broken waterproof flashlight. "Perfect."

"No!" No reply for a second "Maya?" Something swam by, with a light flashing in front of it "Another agler!?"

The angler fish growled angrily at the light and chased after it as it sank down, deeper into the water. After a minute Maya swam over to Nile "Well that worked pretty well." She smiled. Nile looked at her with wide eyes, "It was a flashlight, calm down."

"Where-"

"It was stuck in some seaweed. Over that way." Maya interrupted as she pointed to her left. "Also, I think there might be a cave over there."

"Let's go check, there might be a clue as to where the crown is." Nile paused "Assuming the thief brought it here."

"Right, let's go!" Maya swam off quickly towards where there was possibly a cave. There was in fact a cave. "Come on guys!"

"Maya, hold on, none of us has a flashlight."

"It's real dark in there." Cordelia mumbled.
Maya threw her hands up in defeat, "Well we gotta go in there and look for clues don't we?"

"Maya-" Nile started, his eyes going wide again.

"Oh my Triton." Cordelia gasped.

"What?" Maya asked.

"Your, hands." Nile answered "They're glowing."

Maya looked at her hands, they were blindingly bright "Woah."

"Looks like you have a power instead of a weapon." Cordelia spoke.

"Assuming you're a Siren, if you're a mermaid, you can still have a weapon, it's not just a hundred percent you'll have one." Nile explained.

"Well..." Maya began "Looks like we won't be needing a flashlight."
