Crush, Chop, and Burn

I had this story planned back in 2021, but I finally decided to post it 2 years later lol. If you are a fan of any of my other characters, you're gonna adore Maya. -Mal.

Never in my life would I have thought my mom would get married to a billionaire. We were moving into our new home in Mission Creek today. I helped my twin brother, Leo carry some of our luggage into the house. I felt like I was carrying weights in one of my bags. "Welcome to your new home, Mrs Davenport." Donald, our new stepdad said, swinging Mom around in his arms. "Why, thank you, Mr Davenport." Mom thanked. "Absolutely, Mrs Davenport." Donald flirts as he kisses Mom. I opened the door, struggling to carry the bags. "We get it, you got married, it's getting old." Leo groaned. We walked into this beautiful house. "Wow, you got this big house just from inventing things?" I asked. Donald nodded. "Way to go, Mom, now that's a husband." "What the heck is this?" Leo asked, pointing out a gadget. "Oh, that is my latest creation, Davenport Industries first completely interactive 3D TV." Donald explains as he activated his invention, showing a live baseball game. Leo tried to catch the ball, but bumped into the wall, activating an emoticon on the wall. "WATCH THE FACE, TERMITE!" The emoticon snapped. "Mom, I think the little voice inside my head is back." Leo said. "What is that thing?" I jumped. "This is Eddy, he's my smart home system, Eddy, this is my new stepson and stepdaughter, Leo, and Maya." Donald introduced as me and Leo waved at Eddy. "Remember, I told you Tasha and the twins are moving in today." "Hey, welcome, everything here is mine." Eddy grunted. "Uh, kids, why don't you check out your new bedrooms." Donald suggested as he pointed out the direction of our rooms.

It took a while, but I found my bedroom, but being the awesome sister I am, I wanted to help Leo find his. "This place is huge!" Leo exclaimed. "I know, right, we'll probably need a GPS just to find the bathroom." I joked as we leaned against the wall, but all of a sudden, an elevator appeared in front of us. I think it was camouflaged. The doors opened up as both of us walked in. "What is that?" "Hello?" Leo asked as the doors began to close. We both screamed as the elevator dropped at a huge speed. The elevator finally opened up again and I walked out with my brother. We walked into what looked like a bat cave. "Wow, Leo, our new dad is Batman!" I exclaimed. Suddenly, a set of doors opened as we hid behind some barrels. A young boy, who looked a little bit older than us ran out and closed the door. "Good luck getting in, that steel door is thicker than your head." He explains as the two doors were destroyed by another boy, who was a lot taller. "Well, there's another way to get in." "GIVE ME BACK MY ePOD!" The other boy shouted. "I don't have it!" The first boy argued as a girl walked in with earbuds in her ears. "Hey." She greeted politely. "YOU took my ePod!" The second boy gasped. "Taylor Swift mega mix, really?" "I find her soothing." He explains. As the girl walked away, a laser was shot, from his eyes! "Oh, I know you didn't shoot that laser at me." She sassed. "Oh, I'm sorry it was a terrible mistake, just like your face!" He argued as she dashed into him, causing some of the barrels to fall to reveal us. We all screamed. Leo and I ran as far as we could from these super powered kids.

The kids were glaring at the two of us. "Okay, we don't play this card too often but, MOM!" Leo explains before we both call for Mom. Mom came downstairs with Donald as we ran towards her. "Leo, Maya, there you are." Mom laughed. "What is this place, WHO ARE THEY?" "T-they are a boy band I've been working with, and the twist is, one of them's a girl." Donald lied. "Alright, they're part of a secret project I've been developing, genetically engineered superhuman siblings." Mom, Leo, and I were confused. "Tasha, Leo, Maya, meet Adam, Bree, and Chase, the greatest combination of biology and technology ever developed, I don't want to brag, but I'm incredibly smart." Mom looked at both of us. "Don't look at us, we told you to stay away from internet dating." I said. "So they're robots?" Mom questioned. Adam, Bree, and Chase gasped. "No, Tasha, they're human, I've just given each of them a unique set of bionic abilities controlled by a microchip implant in their necks." Donald explains. "See, Adam has brute strength, and Bree has speed and agility, and Chase has super senses and a superior intelligence." "Donald, there are children living in our basement!" Mom exclaimed. "This is a scientific habitat, I've created this place so they could train in the utmost of comfort and technology." Donald explains. "It's true, the toilets have seat warmers that talk." Adam said. "What do they say?" Leo asked. "It varies depending on..." "No!" I interrupted Adam. "Donald, I don't know what to make of all this, some new wives get surprised by a honeymoon in Hawaii, or a cruise, bionic teenagers were not in our wedding registry." "Honey, they have to stay down here for their own safety, this is all very top secret, but as soon as they're training is complete, they'll be able to handle any crisis or problem that the world throws at them." Donald explains. "I wanna go to the pyramids." Chase said. "I wanna go to Paris." Bree commented. "I wanna go upstairs." Adam added. "Hey what are those, time machines?" Leo asked. "No, they're not time machines, these are my biologically regulated atmospheric chambers, where my bionic creations live, sleep, and eat, which reminds me, it's dinner time." Donald replied. The bionic teens walked into the chambers as food began to fall from the top and started to eat pellets. "If they're human, then shouldn't they be eating something from each of the main food groups?" I asked. Donald gave me no response.

A few days later, Donald let us watch them train before school. "Okay, Chase, enemy grenade, 3 o'clock." Donald shouted as Chase puts up a force field to block the attack. "Hey, why does he get a force field and I don't?" Adam asked. "Because if you had one, I wouldn't be able to do this." Bree replied as she hit Adam with her water bottle. "Alright, you guys take the rest of the day off, I'm going to speak at a tech conference because I'm awesome, I'm gonna have the speedboats detailed and then I'm gonna go get waxed." Donald explains as he left us in the lab. "C'mon, Leo, we better get ready for school." I said. "Ooh, I have always dreamed about going to school, passing notes, going to prom, breaking into choreographed dance numbers after math class." Bree squealed. "Yeah, all we do is eat, sleep, and train for missions." Chase added. "We're like human lab rats." "Come on, it can't be that bad." Leo said as Adam was running on a life sized hamster wheel. "So you never left this room?" They nodded. "That explains the haircuts." "I bet school's fun, except for books, classes, and learning stuff." Adam said. "It's not fun when you're the smart kid." I explained. "Well, down here, smart is considered superior." Chase stated. "No it's not." Adam and Bree retorted. "Hey, you guys should come to school with us." I suggested. "Yeah, you can be our bionic bodyguards." Leo added. They cheered as they ran to the door, but were shortly closed by Eddy. "Not on my watch, laser brains!" Eddy insults. "Aw, shoot, we forgot about Davenport's creepy computer." Adam groaned. "I thought he was just in the living room?" Leo asked. "So did I." I added. "Nope, I'm everywhere." Eddy explains in a creepy tone. "In my shower?" Leo asked. "Yup, and by the way, nothing has to be that clean, sport-o." Eddy replied. "Okay, we need to shut that thing off!" I demanded. "Never gonna happen, okay, Eddy is an incredibly complex and sophisticated piece of machinery." Chase explains. "It would take years before..." All of a sudden, Adam yanked out some wires with his strength and disabled Eddy. "Sweet, I barely got electrocuted!" Adam cheered. "Okay, if we're going to school, we should shower first, because, two of us really stink." Bree said as the boys smelled themselves and weren't too pleased. They went to their capsules to shower and we were off to school.

Once we arrived at school, Adam, Bree, and Chase were astonished by their surroundings. "I can't believe we're actually at school, I am so excited!" Bree exclaimed. "Ooh, my first lunch lady." Bree walked over to a lunch lady and squeezed her into a hug as Leo pulled her away. "She smelled like fish sticks." "Do me a favor and try to act like you've seen the world, I have a reputation to uphold." Leo explains as a bully gave him a wedgie. "Good to see you too, Steve." "Reputation?" I asked as my twin glared at me. Adam helped a student open up her locker with his strength. "Adam, would you guys knock it off?" Chase asked. "We're supposed to not draw attention to ourselves." The school bell rang, which caused Chase to freak out. "What's up with crazy?" Leo asked. "He has ultra sensitive bionic hearing." Bree replied. "What was that?" Chase asked. "It's called a bell, it rings every 40 minutes, 8 times a day, so, good luck with that." I explained.

Later that day, we were in gym class. "I hate gym class." Leo grunted. "Why?" Adam asked as we proved to the bionic teens just by dribbling a basketball and bumping into each other. "That's why." I replied. "So big deal, neither of you can play basketball, chess club's where all the action's at." Chase said. All of a sudden, Bree caught a basketball and was confused. "What do I do with it?" Bree asked. "Throw it." Leo replied as Bree threw the ball towards a boy, hitting him in the head. "To someone who's looking." I added as I helped out Bree with the boy. "Wow, you caught that with your face." She said. "Just once, I'd like to show these fools up and go all NBA in their faces." Leo sighed. "Then why don't you?" Chase asked. "Look at me." Leo replied. "There's more meat on a dog bone!" "Yeah, but now you've got us to help you." Adam said as he picked up my brother and tossed him towards the hoop, where he made the shot. The class began glaring at him and applauded shortly after. "Yeah, I got mad skills!" Leo exclaimed as I ran towards him to hug him. "That's my brother!" I shouted as the class continued to cheer.

A few hours later, our school held a pep rally. Leo was signing some basketballs. "That's awesome that you're popular now, Leo." I complimented. "Thanks, sis." Leo smiled as Adam, and Bree walked into the gym. "You guys rock, ever since gym class everyone wants to be our friend." I explained. "But, I only tossed Leo." Adam corrected. "A popular Leo makes a popular Maya and vice versa." I said. "It's the least we could do, you gave us our first taste of freedom." Bree replied. "And our first taste of Salisbury steak." Adam added as he pulled out a steak and started eating. Chase came in shortly after. "Where were you?" I asked. "Computer lab taking med school courses, guess who just became a chiropractor in the Philippines?" Chase replied. For some odd reason, our mascot started petting Adam, which turned out to be a fight over his steak. Chase and Leo walked over to Adam to see him fight. I stayed with Bree as that boy from earlier walked over to us, but his face was all swollen after Bree hit him. "Hey, I'm Kavin." He introduced. "Aren't you the girl who made me eat a basketball earlier?" "Aw, you remembered." Bree flirted as Adam was still wrestling the mascot. "So there's this party tonight, you wanna go?" Kavin asked. "A party?" Bree asked. "I've never been to one, I mean, yes I have, my whole life's a party, you're invited, wanna dance?" She danced in front of him and he walked away shortly after. "It's your first day out in the real world and you already got asked out!" I exclaimed as we both squealed. Not long after, I ran over to Leo and Chase after I saw the mascot head was on fire. "What just happened?" I asked. "Adam just glitched." Chase explains. "Whenever he gets too upset, his heat vision acts up." One of the cheerleaders was tossed in the air and Bree was about to save her, but was off by a bit. The fire alarm was going off for about 10 minutes. Mom and Donald came rushing in as some students were rushing out. We all waved nervously at them. "So, how was school?!" Donald asked in a furious tone. "GET IN THE HELICOPTER!"

Back at home, we all sat on the couch, waiting to be punished. "Do you realize what you've done?" Donald asked. "I had to write a check to that school for 30 grand to make this go away." "For 30 grand, I'll go away." I joked. "We're sorry, we just wanted to be normal for a day." Bree apologized. "Oh, come on, Donald, they're just kids." Mom said. "When I was their age, me and Fiona Micklejohn, we snuck and we crashed..." Donald glared at her. "You know what, I'm not helping." "Look, I designed you guys to go on highly classified missions, not try out for the cheerleading squad." Donald explains. "Look, I know you're mad, Big D, but these guys performed the impossible today, they made me popular." Leo said. "And I cured male pattern baldness with a biology rat." Chase added. "And I got invited to my first party, by a boy." Bree cheered. "How exciting, we gotta get you clothes and shoes and..." Mom squealed as Donald glared at her again. "Again, not helping." "That's it, Leo and Maya, you are banned from the lab, and you three are to have no contact with the outside world, no talking, texting, nothing!" Donald ordered. "Ooh, what about the last art of pantomime?" Adam asked. "Go to your tubes!" Donald yelled.

A little bit later, Leo and I snuck down to the lab to check on Adam, Bree, and Chase. "Leo, Maya, what are you doing, you're not allowed to be down here?!" Chase asked. "We know, but you know that party everyone at school's been talking about?" I asked.

"It's in your living room!" Leo and I exclaimed as everyone started dancing. "Leo, Maya, I can't believe you did this." Chase said with a smile. "We owed you guys, and since you couldn't go, we brought the party here." Leo explains. "What about your mom and Davenport?" Adam asked. "They're at dinner, they'll be gone for hours." I replied. "Jimmy, get your head out of there, it's a microwave!" After a little while, Mom and Donald got home to see the party. "What the...?" Donald asked as Leo and I came driving in a small car. "Hey, you're back." I said as Mom glared at us. "How did these people get here?" Leo lied. "Hey everybody, thanks for coming." Donald said. "GET OUT!" All the guests left the house to leave us in trouble. "You kids have really done it this time, and who gave Eddy cake?" "We just wanted them to have one more night of fun before you put them back in their display cases." I frowned. "Biologically regulated atmospheric chambers, look, the fun's over, as of tomorrow, you're all being relocated permanently." Donald ordered. "What?" We asked. "What part of no contact with the outside world did you not understand?" Donald grunted. "Where are we going?" Bree asked. "To one of my remote research facilities where you can complete your training." He replied. "But this is home, this is where I get my meaty flavored pellets." Adam whined. "Not anymore, now go downstairs and pack your stuff." Donald ordered as they went downstairs. "This isn't fair, they're my best friends." Leo argued as he went upstairs. "Rule #1 of raising twins: if you upset Twin #1, you upset Twin #2 as well." I added as I stormed out with my brother.

Last night, Leo and I fell asleep in Adam's capsule. The next morning, we had to visit with them before we could never see them again. Chase was almost finished packing his things. "What are you doing?" I asked. "If Davenport's gonna ship us off to some remote facility, then the office supplies are coming with us." Chase replied. "We just got our first taste of normal life, I was this close to getting a curfew which I was totally gonna break." Bree complained. "Ooh, but maybe, when we get to wherever we're going, we'll meet a sassy lab chimp named Bobo who will take us on adventures and teach us how to love." Adam said. "Or maybe you'll make him angry and he'll maul you and snack on your fingers." Chase joked. "Hey!" Adam snapped. "I create the monkey fantasies around here!" At that moment, Eddy showed up on the monitor. "Well, kids, I hope you enjoyed your stay at Casa Davenport, I know I haven't, Sayonara!" Eddy exclaimed. "Eddy, I know we've never been the best of friends, but, we're gonna miss you." Bree said. "Aww, really?" Eddy asked. "No!" They replied. "Where is this training facility anyway?" Leo asked. Eddy showed a picture of a place in Antarctica, where they were headed. "Forget about office supplies, we should be gathering wood." Chase explains. "Man, I wish Leo and I hadn't thrown that party, I can't help but think this is all our fault." I sighed. "Oh, that's because it is all your fault." Adam said. "Adam, they were only trying to help us." Bree replied. "Yeah, but, they did the opposite, which is not help us, the not makes it the opposite." Adam continued. "I'm just so bummed, this is the only place we've ever known." "We can't let Davenport send you guys away." Leo said. "Let us talk to him, no one can say no to these million dollar smiles."

We went upstairs to beg them to stay, but Donald immediately turned us down.

We returned to the lab to give them the news. "So, we're pretty sure he's gonna think about it." I explained.

I sat down with Leo in the hallway, reading my book about two teenage girls trapped in a world of frogs. Mom walked in a few seconds later. "Leo, Maya, there you are, look, I know you're excited about your friends leaving, but think about all the time you'll get to spend with me." Mom explains. "We can play your little video game, you know, the one where you hold the thingy and move the other thingy." "Mom, with all due respect, it is way too late in life for you to learn video games." Leo said. As we walked into the living room, Donald had this black sheet covering up an invention of his. "Good morning, happy family." He greeted. "What is that?" Mom asked. "Whatever it is, don't get too attached." I said. "Look, Leo, Maya, I know you're gonna miss Adam, Bree, and Chase, so, I laser scanned their features onto these bio-synthetic robots and I programmed them with their core personality traits." Donald explains. "Is this great or what? It'll be like they never left." Leo hit the Adam robot to see if he was telling the truth, only to have Robot Adam flick his fingers at his face. "What do you think?" Donald asked. "I think the excitement of having a billionaire dad just wore off." Leo replied. "Donald, I don't know about this." Mom said. "I kinda prefer Leo and Maya to have friends who can't malfunction and tear them limb from limb. All of a sudden, the real Adam, Bree, and Chase came upstairs to see their robot doppelgängers. "What are those?" Bree asked. "Oh, Doctor Franken Brain is trying to replace you with creepy robots." Leo explains. "Welcome to Crazytown." "Good morning. The time is 11:22 and the temperature is currently 68 degrees." Robot Adam greeted. "You made a robot of me that just stands around telling people the time and the temperature?" Adam asked. "That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!" Adam put his hand up, expecting a high five from his robot self, but it never came. Bree walked up to her robot and started examining it. "Does my nose really look like that?" Bree asked. "No, yours has a faint mustache underneath." Robot Bree replied, offending the real Bree, causing her brothers to laugh. "Hey everyone. I'm Chase." Robot Chase introduced, and the real Chase stopped laughing. "Let's do ma...ma...math." The rest of us laughed, including myself. "That is not funny!" Chase snapped. "Oh, you're right. It's fuh...fuh...funny." Adam teased as the doorbell rang. Donald answered the door for his employee. "Hey, Fitz. How's it going?" Donald asked. Fitz gave no response. "How's life? How's tricks? Alrighty then. You guys should've seen him at the Christmas party. He's a karaoke master." "Well, I guess this is it." Bree sighed. "Thanks for everything, Leo and Maya." "Yeah, you're the best friends we've ever had." Chase added. "No, they're the only friends we've ever had." Adam corrected. "Well, don't forget to bundle up on your deadly missions." Mom said, hugging the bionic teens on their way out the door. "Hey, remember, this is a good thing." Donald explains. "Without any distractions, you might finish your training early." Leo and I waved goodbye to Adam, Bree, and Chase. They waved back and walked away. "Whoo hoo! They're gone!" Eddy cheered. "Eddy." Donald scolded. "I mean, have a safe trip." Eddy corrected. "I love you." Mom, Leo, and I walked into another room. Were we really just distractions to them?

After taking some time to cool off, I went back to the basement with Leo, only to see the robots were stored there. "Hello, insert name here." Robot Adam greeted. "Would you like to like to engage in silly, happy, fun time?" "Get lost." I rolled my eyes. "You can't replace our real friends." "We really loved those guys." Leo sighed. "Don't be sad, Mr Leo and Miss Maya." Robot Chase reassured us. "Friends come and go, but robots are forever. Dibbly. Dibbly. That is my version of a laugh." "Will you tin heads get out of here?!" Leo complained. "Sensing human hostility." Robot Chase said. "Must exterminate." Robot Bree added. "Robots attack." Robot Adam commands. "Yeah! Go robots!" Eddy exclaimed. "Get them! Crush them! Go for the brain!" The robots came towards us to attack us. "Destroy Leo! Destroy Maya!" I screamed in horror with my brother, only to realize that it was actually Adam, Bree, and Chase. "Leo, Maya. We're not robots." Bree reassured us as her brothers laughed. "It's really us." "Huh?" Leo and I wondered. Is this a prank show? "We told the driver we forgot something and then we swapped the robots in our place." Chase explained. "You said you loved us! You said you loved us!" Adam teased as I slapped him in the face. "Ow!" "It is you guys!" I cheered, pulling all of us into a group hug. "Wait, what about Davenport?" Leo asked. "We'll just have to act like dumb robots every single time that he's around." Adam replied. "It'll be easier said for some of us than others." Bree said, just as Donald came in. They froze into a robotic pose to hide the truth. "Hey, Leo." Donald greeted. "Hey, Maya." "Big D, Donny, man of the house!" I exclaimed. "What're you doing, guys?" He asked. "What are we doing? We are hanging with our robo-fake people friends." Leo lied. "Ain't no party like a robot party 'cause a robot party don't stop!" "See, I told you you would like them." Donald said. "Like them? We love them." I corrected as Adam quietly teased us while Donald wasn't looking. "Oh, you know what the greatest thing about having robots is?" Donald asked. "They are virtually indestructible. Watch this." He puts a taser up against Adam, shocking him. "Whoa!" I gasped. "Quit it!" Leo shouted. "No, it's okay. He can't feel a thing. He's a robot." He chuckles, doing the same thing to Chase. "They are so incredibly lifelike." "Don't even try it." Bree says in her robotic voice before Donald could shock her. "Ooh, you're a feisty robot, you." He jeered. "You wanna give it a try?" "Ooh, me first!" I begged. Donald handed the taser over to me. I shocked him just for pure enjoyment. "Huh, this is fun."

The next morning, I came upstairs to help Leo with feeding Adam, Bree, and Chase. "Alright, let's make this quick so we can get out of here." Leo said. "Adam, for breakfast, you get wheat bread and a side of sugar packets." "My favorite!" Adam exclaimed. "Bree, you get two old wings and a drumstick from the Chicken Shack." I explained, handing her the box. "And Chase, you can have the peel to my banana." "I'm not eating a banana peel." Chase refused. "You don't eat it. You just chew it till all the flavor is gone." Leo said. All of a sudden, Mom came into the kitchen. "Leo, Maya, what's going on?" Mom asked as the teens froze again. "Mom. Look at you. In the kitchen." Leo chuckled nervously. "We are just having a healthy breakfast." "Honey, they're robots. They don't eat." Mom explains. "Anyway, I think today would be a great day to take them to school with us." I suggested. "Yes!" Bree shouted, breaking character. "I mean, beep boop beep." "Kids, you're not taking the robots to school." Mom denied. "Your teachers already think you're a little weird." "What makes you say that?" Leo asked. "Because on your last progress report, they said, "we think Leo and Maya are a little weird."" Mom replied. "Mom!" I groaned. "Go to school!" Mom ordered. "You guys stay out of trouble till we get back." I told Adam, Bree, and Chase. "Hug it out." After a quick hug from our new friends, Leo and I headed off to school.

After a long day of school, Leo and I quickly ran home to see our friends. "Hey, Mom. Hey, Big D." I greeted. "Where are the robots?" Leo asked, grabbing a glass of water. "We ran all the way home, and we weren't even being chased!" "Kids, the robots are gone." Mom explained. "We just dropped them off at the recycling facility." Leo spit out his water. "You what?!" We gasped. "Yup, they're being melted down as we speak." Donald explains. "Don't tell anybody. They're probably toxic." "No! We have to go get them!" I panicked. "They're not robots, they're real!" "Okay, see, this is why I didn't want those things around." Mom said. "They're delusional." "No, it's really Adam, Bree, and Chase. You have to believe us!" Leo shouted. "There isn't much time!" "Leo, stop." Mom said. "Guys, when I was your age, I had to say goodbye to a lot of my friends." Donald explains. "There was Lava Man and Stretch Legstrong and JoJo Biggs and all his friends in the space cantina." "Those are all action figures." Leo corrected. "More like fully poseable pieces of my heart." Donald said.

We snuck out to the recycling center to rescue our friends from getting melted and crushed. When we landed, Adam, Bree, and Chase were about to escape. "Leo? Maya?" Adam asked. "No, it's Oprah!" I shouted sarcastically. "Get us out of here!" Leo exclaimed, just as Donald and Mom came through the exit. "Mr Davenport!" Bree gasped. "Hello, we are robots." Adam lied. "Dude, I think he knows." Chase said. All of a sudden, the wall pushes us closer to the crusher. I grabbed my brother tightly and screamed. "Leo! Maya!" Mom cried. "I'll find somebody to shut it off." Donald said. "There isn't enough time!" Bree warned. "Guys, I have an idea." Chase said.

A few minutes later, Adam, Bree, and Chase came to the other side to rescue us. "Ah, never gets old." Adam said. "Guys, what are you doing here?" Chase asked. "We're here to save you guys." Leo replied. "Oh, thanks. We're good." Adam smiled. "Sweet kids." "Come on, let's do this!" Bree exclaimed. "Okay, Leo, Maya, hold onto Adam." Chase instructed. "We're gonna surround you and then we'll all go through it together, okay? Three, two..." "Hey, what's that?" I wondered, noticing a button on the wall and pressing it, stopping the recycler. "That would be the off button." Chase replied. "Yeah!" Adam exclaimed. "Oh, you guys didn't see that?"

Back at home, Eddy turned on to greet us, or should I say insult us. "Oh, thank heavens! You all made it safe and sound and..." Eddy blew a raspberry before being turned off by Donald. "I don't know what you kids were thinking about pulling a stunt like that." He said sternly. "You could've seriously hurt yourselves." "Yeah, but you gotta admit, my robot accent was dead on." Adam commented. "Can we please take him back to the recycling center?" Chase begged. "Leo, Maya, why didn't you tell us that Adam, Bree, and Chase were still here?" Mom asked. "Because we were trying to protect our friends." I confessed. "And we're still gonna protect our friends." Leo added, walking to Donald. "That's right. You wanna send them away, you have to go through us first. It's go time, little man. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." "There's a lot of fight in these little doggies!" I exclaimed. "Let's dance, Big D!" Leo, Maya, calm down. They're not going anywhere." Donald reassured us. "Oh, don't you..." Leo and I stopped. "Wait, what?" "Watching you guys risk your lives for each other made me realize something." Donald said. "Maybe I've been focusing too much on training the superhuman side of you, that I forgot all about the human part." "Aww. I don't get it." Adam said. "You're teenagers. And bionic or not, you deserve to experience teenager things." Donald continues. "Like school, and classes, and cell phones." "Yes! A cell phone!" Bree cheered. "I'm living the dream!" "Yeah, you're not getting a cell phone." Donald said. "But what I can give you is another chance. Maybe there's a way that you can live here, go to school, and go on missions." "Are you serious?" Chase wondered. "So they can stay?" I asked. "On one condition." Donald replied. "No one can ever find out about your abilities. And you have to control your emotions so you don't glitch." "Done." Chase agreed. "Okay." Adam nodded. "Absolutely." Bree said. "Alright then, welcome home." Donald smiled. "Whoo hoo! Yeah! We're staying!" Adam shouted, showing too much joy that his bionics started to glitch, destroying some furniture in the process. "Whoops!" "He has plasma grenades?" Leo asked. "My life just got a whole lot better." "Make that our lives." I chuckled.

A few days later, Donald thought it'd be funny to mess with Mom using a robot version of himself. The rest of us were also in on it. "You know, I'm just not sure about the throw pillows, they're a little plain." Mom said, showing blue patterned pillows. "So, I got these. Are they too busy?" "No." The robot responds. "So, you like them?" Mom asked. "I do if you do." The robot replied. "You are so sweet." Mom complimented. The rest of us were laughing at the footage from the lab. "That robot might be my greatest invention ever." Donald laughs. As Mom leans in for a kiss, the robot starts malfunctioning. "Donald!" Mom yelled. "Uh oh." He panicked. "Uh, oh! Busted!" We jeered at him and continued laughing.
