Maya turned back and walked to her bedroom. Her mind still reeling from what she'd just witnessed. What had Sahir just said? He had a girlfriend? If he did, why did he marry her? And even if she was in his past what was the point bringing her here or if she existed in his present what was he doing with her from past 2 nights. Maya suddenly felt sick with all this and she moved to her bedroom. She went for a hot shower to think and stepped into the room. There was still no sign of Sahir. With a confused and heavy heart Maya goes off to sleep. She wakes in the middle of the night and still doesn't find Sahir in the room. Irritated, she wears her robe and steps to check on him when she spots him on the couch. What has gone so wrong between us Sahir that you decided to sleep in the couch here, Maya thinks to herself feeling sorry. Confused if she should wake him up or not, she decides to get him some orange juice. By the time she's back, Sahir's waking up with a bad hangover.

M: Some orange juice can help you feel better
S: No thanks
M:What happened Sahir? If you had someone else in your life, why did you bother marrying me?
S: Just to keep you informed Ms Maya Singhania, I didn't want to marry you. Your father treated you like a collateral against the loan we offered them to support his business. This marriage is a sham! Just another business venture. Make the best out of it while it lasts.

Maya is upset with what Sahir says. She did know the alliance was initiated as families met for business but she thought Sahir had happily consented to it like she had. It hurt her self respect and her pride. If this was true, there'd be no difference in Maya's existence and being a commodity. The thought of it made her feel devastated. Maya got dressed and left for work.

Sahir was annoyed with himself for talking to Maya that way. His mind was blown away when he'd first glanced at Maya's pictures at his Mom's place. His mom was pushing him to meet her once but just at her sight he knew he'd lost his heart to her. He wanted her to be his so bad and all this while, Maya's been with someone else? And that someone else was his archenemy Viren Khanna! How could Maya do this to him. He would ensure before they did any damage to him he'll defeat them.

Few weeks later...

Viren walks into Maya's cabin.
V: I hear you're off to a Swiss honeymoon that too on a business trip. Honestly I thought Sahir could do better. At least a world tour for someone as gorgeous as you Maya.
M: We actually didn't have time to plan a vacation so I decided to accompany him in his travel.
V: Defensive wife! I like that! Sahir's a lucky bastard. He's always been lucky. But tables do turn.
M: What does that mean?
V: It means this, Sahir and I are both bidding for the sale of this hotel group Intercontinental. It's going to be a game changer for hotel industry. Hence the rivalry. It's all healthy.
M: Okay. I am also interested in checking some hotel properties out there. Mostly the Glamour group.
V: So Sahir has rubbed this acquisition syndrome on you too? You're aware your husband is known as the ruthless acquisition king in the market?
Maya chose to keep quiet. The morning the other day did give her a sense of feeling on how cold could Sahir be and treat everything as a merger or acquisition.

V: As far as the Glamour group is concerned, why do you want to wait till Switzerland? They've an excellent property in outskirts of London. I can drive you there.
M: Thanks, but I think I am good. My friends are there, I'll plan something with them.
V: Am I not your friend Maya?
M: Viren, we're yet to become friends. We're more like business acquaintances
V: You hurt me saying that!
M: Please don't feel bad yaa.. I am not looking for making friends at all. I'm happy with the ones I have.
Maya is busy working on her laptop when she starts getting Sahir's call. Her phone is on silent and she doesn't realise he's calling. Sahir's getting irritated with Maya.
Sahir: What is with you Maya. Why aren't you taking my calls (he talks to self)
Viren realises that Sahir is calling and to take advantage of this opportunity he answers Maya's phone.
V: This is Viren Khanna this side. Maya's busy right now. Can I take a message.
Sahir loses his cool, in an assertive tone he responds: Viren, this is Maya's husband Sahir, put her on the line.
Viren to Maya: Maya Baby it's your husband.
Maya looking irked: Why'd you answer my phone, Hello Sahir.
S: Why is another man answering my wife's phone Maya?
M: We will talk about it later Sahir. Anything you wanted?
S: Why can't you tell me now? Why is Viren Khanna there?
M: Sahir I'm requesting you, can we please discuss this later?
Sahir gets irritated and hangs up on Maya.

Few days later....

Sahir is upset and angry with Maya and to avoid entire conflict he's moved into his business suite at his poshest hotel. Maya's been trying to reach him but he's been avoiding her. Frustrated, Maya decides to leave a note with James, Sahir's PA.

Maya's note:

Sahir,
I have been trying to connect with you but you're not taking any of my calls. You don't respond to any of my texts either. What's happening? What have I done that you refuse to talk to me at all. I just want to let you know that I feel hurt by this behaviour. I do understand now the circumstances we've got married in, you've also made your POV extremely clear on this and I acknowledge that. However I am still your wife seeking some clarity here. If you want me to move out from your house do let me know. I don't feel at home here anyway.
Sahir, I want us to work. Please help me.

Sahir reads the note and picks up his phone to respond to Maya. He emails her:

To: Maya Singhania

Maya,
Do not even think of leaving the house. You're my wife and as my wife you will stay with me. I don't like this email address. My team has created your new communication address and the credentials will follow. Use that for all communications.
Sahir

Maya gets irritated with his response. "What am I asking him and what is he responding as! I just don't understand this man!"

Maya receives another email:

Dear Mrs. Sahir Choudhary,
As instructed by Sahir, we have created an email id within Omega domain. Please use this for all future correspondences. We will be disabling the current account. Kindly note, Sahir has proprietary access to this account.

Maya is stunned! Is this man for real!! He's got me a new email id registered to his company domain. What cheap tricks. Maya tries to access her account and it stops working. Defeated, she accessed the Omega account.

Now I am satisfied. Congratulations on your new email account.

She immediately responds

Thank you but no thank you. This was totally unnecessary and absolutely unacceptable. You're violating my space. I am not your property.

P.S- I don't even have a right on my own name signatures! How weird are you?!

Sahir reads her email and feels satisfied. Taking his time he eventually responds to her.

Absolutely right, you're not my property but my wife. Do understand that well. You belong to me and with me Maya, don't ever forget that.

Maya fumes seeing Sahir's response. She reconciles with self realising there isn't a point in arguing or fighting with Sahir. He's possessive and overstepping the line but she'll be able to manage. She will explain it all to him.

In the meanwhile Sahir is at a bidding party where the Glamour group and other smaller chains are to be auctioned. Maya couldn't secure an invitation thanks to their poor business situation. Viren Khanna is at the counter looking up at the catalog for Glamour group. Sahir walks up to Viren.

S: So now you're interested in these small businesses? Looking at alternate careers Viren?
Viren smirks at Sahir: Well I am planning to buy something for my future wife. First big step to win the battle.
S: So you've finally found someone ( feeling slightly relieved)
V: Absolutely. I've been eyeing her from a few months but then while I was away to the US, she had to get married to someone else as a shallow business deal. She told me how cheap she felt about the entire incident.
Sahir begins to frown:!What do you mean Viren?
V: Well it's very clear Sahir, I like Maya. I saw in a business meeting and I fell for her. I wanted to marry her but like always you chose to step in. While I've lost to you in a few business deals, I'm sure I'll make it up for all and forever when Maya will leave you for me. You're such a self centred bastard that you don't even know your wife's dream project. She wants Glamour group Sahir and I will buy it for her.
Viren walks away from there to register for bidding to participate in the Glamour auction. Sahir feels the pinch and is angry. He can feel his temple throb due to rage. He makes his lawyer immediately register for the auction. "If this is Maya's dream, I'll never let her have it. She can never leave me and defeat me. She's mine." He says to himself.

The auction begins:
Glamour group was initially evaluated at 15 mil pounds but due to failing business and property prices going down, it had been re-evaluated at 8 mil pounds. However, additional 2 mil pounds are added to protect the expansion and reinstatement. Bidding starts now.
V: 11 mil pounds
Another bidder 1: 12 mil
V: 13 mil
Bidder 2: 13.5 mil
Bidder 3: 15 mil pounds
V: 18 mil pounds
Announcer: any more bids? 18 mil 1, 18 mil 2...
Sahir: 25 mil pounds
Announcer: we have a 25 mil here. Do we have anymore bids?! Anyone.. 25 mil 2, 25 mil 2, 25 mil 3! And the property is now sold to Mr Sahir Choudhary.
Viren stands up and doesn't believe Sahir outbid him.
V: Sahir this isn't even the kind of hotel segment you operate in. How dare you ruin this for me.
S: Maya belongs to me Viren and so do all her dreams. You'll never have her because I will never leave her. I'm capable to fulfill her dreams, she doesn't need you. Remember this Viren, Sahir Choudhary never loses and while you couldn't even match me in petty business deals you think you have a chance at my wife? you'll never have a chance at Maya because she's someone Sahir can kill for or die for.

The news of Omega enterprises buying Glamour group is a breaking news in the market. Market and media begins to analyse the business decision here. Maya is watching the news and can't believe her husband just bought her dream project. Suddenly Sahir's interview is aired.
Reporter: Mr Choudhary why such a huge investment for a failing chain which isn't even your core business
Sahir: It's a wedding gift for Maya Sahir Choudhary.
He looks straight into the camera as if knowing Maya is watching him. Maya's mind gets into the biggest chaos ever. Where is this heading between us. Will things ever be okay?
