Ranpo : So, the reason you're back to Yokohama is just to see old friends..? - The detective asked, already knowing her answer while they kept walking to the Agency.

Y/n lightly nodded while carrying her bags and walking right next to him with a small smile on her lips. Ranpo had a smirk on his face again like their first meeting at the train station while listening to her, only difference is that it looked slightly snarky.

Y/n : Yeah, well it's the main reason..and a promise we made to each-others before i had to leave...heh, i know it sounds a bit cheesy-

Ranpo : Nooo, it's actually kinda cute ! A bit cliche or too optimistic...but still cute.

The young woman didn't expected the detective to interrupt her again, but then again maybe she should've seen it coming- and what he just said was pretty nice of him-
Her smile widen slightly as their conversation went on other small things they have in common.

Buuut...let's skip that for something else going on around them, something the [H/c]-nette didn't realise yet but Ranpo did...they were being followed.
And now the beautiful user who's reading this story is probably thinking "What, already ?!" but hey, it's not going to get serious until a few more chapters that the author (aka me-) need to write down so don't worry about it, for now... =)

Yes, someone was following them since they left the train station together, who ? Well the person made sure to stay far enough from them to avoid catching anyone attention (well it's a fail already-). Why ? They probably thought the young woman could be a new member of the Armed Detective Agency.

After walking for a little while longer, two things happened : one, the weirdo who followed Ranpo and Y/n was gone as fast as they showed up- and two, the Young woman and the detective finally arrived to the Agency !

Ranpo : Here we are, the Detective Agency ! - He cheered loudly a bit too close to Y/n, which made her take a step back by suprise.

She take a look at the building in front of them, feeling a great amount of energy coming out of it. Shortly after this Ranpo gave the young woman a light tap on her shoulder to get her attention back to him.

Ranpo : A little advice, wait inside the café right here, new friend, i just know you're going to get a great suprise !

Y/n chuckled softly and nodded before they both enter the reddish-brown brick building and took different paths. While the best detective in the world took the old-fashioned elevator to the fourth floor where the Agency office is, the [H/c]-nette got inside the Uzumaki Café, politely greeting the owner and the waitress before taking a seat and putting her bags where they wouldn't be in anyone's way.

Belladonna : Good day miss, what can i get you ? - She smiled while a light bell sound could be heard as the door closed.

(Author note : not sure if that's her real name or just a nickname Dazai gives her, but on the wiki page they call her that sooo correct me if i'm wrong pls-)

[~✨Meanwhile✨~]

Ranpo : I'm back~ ! ☆ - He exclaimed pretty loudly, getting every member of the Agency attention in the main room, which included the Tanizaki siblings, Dazai, Kunikida, Yosano and Atsushi.
While Dazai and Yosano were lazing around, Kunikida was still doing paperwork that never seemed to end for him while Jun'ichirô, Naomi and Atsushi were almost done with theirs.

Yosano : Well took you long enough, thought you'd never come back !

Ranpo pouted as soon as she said that, knowing that she was only kidding, but it still annoyed him.

Ranpo : Hey ! Anyway, i didn't need a guide, caauuse i founded someone who got me there !

Yosano : Oh really ? And who was it then ?

Ranpo : A [H/c] haired girl with [E/c] eyes who seems to really like things related to space and other cosmic things, pretty sweet if you'd ask me.

As Ranpo did a brief description of Y/n, it immediately caught the Tanizaki siblings and Dazai's attention. Suprisingly instead of "whining" about Ranpo finding this girl first, he got up and moved next to Jun'ichirô's desk.

Dazai : That really sounds like your childhood friend you talked about earlier today, right Tanizaki ?

Upon hearing this, Naomi immediately stops what she was doing, which Ranpo and Dazai obviously noticed and Ranpo continued, this time directly telling her what's next.

Ranpo : If you want to make sure, she's inside the café while we're talking- - He didn't even had to finish his phrase that the clerk of the Agency ran off, startling her brother and Atsushi.

Kunikida : Wait a second- what about work ?!

He tried to catch her, but she was already out of the office, Jun'ichirô quickly following her. Yosano chuckled for a bit as Kunikida had a "i'm so done.." expression on his face.

Yosano : Oh let them have a break, they were almost done with their work anyway !

Dazai : Yeah, and they deserve to see an old friend.

He then leaves shortly after, which annoys Kunikida more before he follows him, certaint he would do something stupid- hey it's what he thinks, not me-

[~✨Back at the Uzumaki Café✨~]

While Y/n was lost in her thoughts for a few good minutes, the waitress placed the [drink of your choice] the young woman ordered on the counter, the sound of the waitress steps getting her out of her daydreaming.

Belladonna : There you go, miss ! - The [H/c]-nette showed a small smile and thanked her before taking a sip of her drink.

Rosalina : {Well...what now ?-}

She didn't had time to question herself and her decisions that the door of the Café was swung open fast, making a pretty loud noise and also making her jump of suprise again, unlike the waitress who kept smilling, and the Cafe's owner who just didn't reacted to it.
The [H/c]-nette turned to where the noise came from, only to see a high school-age girl with long black hair and dark grey eyes, seemingly followed by a guy with an average build, orange hair and hazel eyes.
When they saw the young woman facing the both of them they froze while their expressions turned to shock before the clerk started speaking.

Naomi : No..no way...

Jun'ichirô : How...Y/n...?

As soon as she heard their voices and recongnised them, Y/n expression changed into a soft and gleefull smile as she left her seat, only to be caught in a tight embrace by an overjoyed Naomi as a way of greeting her after so long.

Naomi : EEEEE- Y/N, IT'S YOU, IT'S REALLY YOOUUU !! - She squealed before burying her face in the crook of the taller girl's neck, quickly followed by Jun'ichirô who also held her by the side with slightly less strenght, but just as glad to reunite with their old friend.

Jun'ichirô : That's crazy...you haven't changed one bit, except that you've got even taller than before-

Y/n : You two didn't changed that much either ! - She laughed at his remark before slightly pulling away from them.

Naomi : Sooo...how you've been ? And how did you know we were here ?

Y/n : I've been good, better now that i'm here. And well i didn't, i got dragged here by a guy named Ranpo-

Jun'ichirô : Oh right, you did met Ranpo earlier ! When did you guys- oh nevermind, he dragged you here cause he couldn't find his way back did he..?

Y/n : Well uuuh as soon as i left the train station he just came up to me and told me to follow him here.. trust me i was just as confused as you.

They both deadpanned at the same time, thinking of how the whole scene must have been strange and a bit ridiculous.
(Author note 2 : Yes the author is roasting himself/herself-)

While the trio wanted to catch up more, they got interuppted by the sound of the door opening again, and before she could realise it, the young woman felt someone taking her hand before placing a soft kiss on top of it.

Dazai : How lovely you are...

As the joyful look on Naomi's face turns into an annoyed stare, Y/n turned around to face with a young man with short dark brown hair and narrow eyes with the same color looking at her with an almost fond look in said eyes.

Dazai : Your beauty reminds me of the endless yet breathtaking sights the galaxy can offer...and your presence just enhance this wonderful feeling~

Y/n's eyes widen slightly, not expecting ANY of those words used to describe her, let alone from another stranger. Dazai chuckled slightly from her reaction before he continues.

Dazai : Oh, but where are my manners ? My name is...Dazai Osamu. And you, my sweet belladonna... Would you be willing to join me.. in a double suicide ?

Y/n : {...What the hell is this guy on ??!}
