Their first and last interview

Noise filled up the air, pressuring some people as they got makeup reapplied to them. The interview night was known to be more stressful then the actual tribute parade, for the stylists need to put more thought in their designs in order to make them rather memorable. Especially with the amount of Capitol guests that were filling up the auditorium, the chatter from them and extravagant outfits they wore making them known
Serena tried to sneak a peek to see how many people there were, a white dress with spaghetti straps draped over her figures as she had on matching sleeves that crawled up her arms. She didn't really have time to register the amount of people there was until a voice cut through, with a question clearly addressed to her.
"You okay?"
She turned around, her eyes falling on the cool green eyed gaze of her district partner. His red hair was slicked back, a black suit hugging his body to make him appear sharp and rather dominant.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just wanting to see how many people there are."
"Well that won't be long until you get your answer." Said Caleb, his eyes leaving her's to the stage that was already set up, "c'mon. Let's line up."
The girl nodded and followed him, taking her place at the front of the very line. Listening for her name to be called.
It didn't take all that long as Caesar made his appearance on the stage, earning cheers and yells of excitement. He waved to the crowd, beginning the show with his laughter and charismatic personality. He called up Serena, the fifteen year old slowly making her way over to the seat that awaited her.
As usual the blue haired interviewer sent the whole thing off with a very simple question.
"Yeah, my brother can be a bit annoying. But that doesn't mean I won't try and win for him."
"I see, what are your wishes for him if you don't make it back?"
"Well then I wish that if he gets reaped that he would win, for district one."
Caesar sent her a smile before finishing the interview, "Serena Yamamato, everyone!"
~~~~~~
"So Caleb, how ready are you for the Hunger Games? Only a few more hours left until you're in that arena you know."
"Oh I know." Said Caleb, rather calm, "and I would like to think I'm ready enough. I've got a pretty good alliance, I'm pretty sure we'll win."
"My, someone's confident. Caleb Shelton everyone!"
~~~~~~~
"I must say, that dress looks very stunning on you, Shadow."
"Thanks Caesar." Said the snake mutant in a polite tone, flowers running from the left sleeve and into the dark blue material of the dress, "it's quite comfortable. More comfortable then my armor."
"I'm sure it is, now I must ask. When your brother was called up, how did you feel?"
"Well... I felt really scared." She admitted, looking down slightly as she conjured up the memory, "and shock. I didn't think he would be picked and I er... I didn't want him to go, so i uh volunteered."
"And what a brave action that was, my dear." Said Caesar gently, "everyone, Shadow Dusk!"
~~~~
Next was Sarina, sitting on the opposite side of Caesar with a sparkly floor length golden dress hugging her body.
"You appear to be a very intelligent young woman, dear Sarina. A person with your mindset must have some idea of what they'll do in the games." Commented Caesar.
"Honestly I think I'll wing it." She admitted, "it's hard to form a plan when I don't exactly know what scenario I'll be situated in. I believe I'll just stick to my pack and see how well that turns out."
"A very safe and wise decision there. Sarina Subject everyone!
~~~~
Following Sarina was Katrina, a rather short and slightly flashy purple dress was on her person. She listened carefully to the comments that were issuing out of Caesar's mouth, nodding at some of the statements and giggling when the action was called for.
"So you have a younger brother, is that correct?"
Katrina nodded, "yup." She said. "He's a bit of a rascal, but all little brothers are."
"Quite true there. Katrina Lopez, everyone!"
~~~~
"Ah Donatello Vernica, you have made quite a name for yourself in district three. I heard that you're an incredibly well known inventor there."
"Aww I can't take all the credit." Said Donnie, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck as a blush dusted his cheeks, "most of the inventions are made by my Dad. I just helped."
"I take it that you two have quite a strong bond."
The masked terrapin nodded, dropping his hand to his side, "yeah we are. I just hope he'll be proud of me..."
"I'm sure he is. Donatello Vernica everyone!"
~~~~
Trailing after Donnie was Shelby looking rather graceful in the dress she had on. Winter was obviously the theme of the design as a pale blue material covered her bust before it flowed into a white, snowflake patterned lace- the material brushing against the floor as a white silk bow was tied around her hips.
"The daughter of the infamous Chris Bradford- "
The snow girl couldn't help but wince at the name of her cursed father, a growl threatening to rip itself free from the back of her throat.
"Tell me, what is it like to be related to one of the most well known men in the whole of Panem?"
"Well it's pretty crappy." She replied bluntly, disliking the topic of conversation. Ceaser just blinked, not expecting that sort of reaction.
"I'm sure there's some-"
Shelby turned to face the interviewer. her eyes narrowed to show the hatred she was feeling for the current situation. Wanting to save himself from trouble Caeser decided to end the interview.
"Uh Shelby Bradford everyone!"
~~~
"I must say Tyler, it's quite a tragic thing that both you and your sister have been thrown into the games. What will happen if it's the two of you left?"
Tyler shook his head, him dressed up in a shimmering white suit curtsy to his sister's outfit, "I prefer not to think about that Caesar. I don't want it to come down to that, I don't know what I'll do."
"Understandable. Tyler Bradford everyone!"
~~~
"So Alexis, a little birdy told me you have some interesting talents."
The bespectacled girl smiled, her wearing a rather short but beautiful light blue dress. "Well my mother always told me not to lie, so yes. That's true."
"Would you care if you give us a little demonstration?"
With an even wider grin the girl did exactly that, slowly crafting out a snowflake in thin air before blowing into the audience where it exploded into tiny little snowflakes. The crowd gasp, their hands reaching out to touch the falling snow.
"Alexandra Queen everyone!"
~~~~
"Aw Caesar!" Laughed the hyena, a dark brown suit fitted on him, "I can't say if I have a girlfriend or not. That'll cause a bloodbath back at home! Everyone loves me there!" He laughed again, loving the joke he had made.
Caesar however just gave him a slightly confused look, for he had never mentioned anything about the mutant's love life and whether or not he has a romantic partner.
"Uh, Cedric Bush everyone!"
~~~~
"My, correct me if I'm wrong but i believe that this is the first time we ever had a dragon mutant competing in the games!"
Kayla sent him a smile, flapping her wings slightly as she sat there in the chair with her blue and grey dress, blue flames flowing from the top and into a frilly bottom- a representation of smoke.
"Guess that means I have to put on a good show." She joked, appearing rather relax with the situation she's currently in.
"Now Kayla, tell me. Your first time in the Capitol, what was your first thoughts."
"Oh." Laughed out the mutant, "it's quite silly now that I think about it but my first thoughts were, 'they're going to skin me for my scales.'"
The audience and the Capitol laughed in response.
"Kayla Smith everyone!"
~~~~~~~
"Ah, Chris Jackelon, one of our many volunteers of this year. You volunteered for a young fellow named Dylan Klaybar, correct?"
Chris nodded, tugging on the silver suit jacket he wore feeling slightly anxious, "uh yeah. He and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember, and I couldn't stand seeing him fighting for himself in the Games... Especially since he's blind."
"Oh... I'm very sorry about that. It must be very worrying having a blind friend."
"Yeah, it sort of is..." Admitted Chris, his ears flattening slightly as he thought about it, "especially since he's so stubborn. I actually had to force myself to become his 'guide dog'."
Caesar laughed at the slight joke, encouraging the rest of the audience to laugh as well, "hopefully the games will do well for you my friend. Everyone, Chris Jackelon!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The raccoon mutant was put into a an emerald green dress, a earth brown belt tied around the waist as green flowers dotted around the skirt of the dress- well representing how much the mutant loves nature and the outdoors.
"Tell me Alex, you have a family at home. Rooting for you in the games, what are your plans?"
"To win of course." She said simply, "I think I can do it, I'm pretty good in the outdoors and killing isn't that bad. We kill animals for meat, so it's nearly the same thing."
"That's... Quite an interesting concept there. Um, Alexandra Woods everyone!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Raph, is there anything that you would like to say to someone at home?"
"I actually don't have anyone at home." Came out a gruff reply as the turtle leaned back, his green eyes focusing on Caesar's glittery person.
"Not even a girlfriend?"
"Nope."
"Well when you win these games and get back home, all the girls will just have to go out with you then! Raphael Steel everyone!"
~~~
"Now as a tribute of district eight, tell me. How do you feel about our fashion? Does it meet your standards?"
"It's way too flashy." Said Kat, eyeing the sparkling blue suit Caesar wore with distaste. She looked down at her violet, sleeveless floor length dress, thankful that her stylist didn't put her in something that remotely resembles the Capitol's fashion
"Oh, our fashion is flashy?"
"Yeah, you guys need to change that."
Caesar laughed, having believed it was joke but the cat mutant was quite legit with her suggestion.
"Kat Kennedy everyone!"
~~~
A black cape kept Yami warm throughout the interview, the material flowing out from the straps of her black dress that was decorated with purple lace. Hazel could be spotted on the inside of the cape as it fluttered around due to the air conditioning they had to put up with.
"Your hair is quite striking." Stated Caesar, gesturing to her red and black dyed hair.
"Oh thank you." She said, brushing it to one side, "I sort of got bored with the black and I wanted to mix it up a bit."
"Well it turned out wonderful! Yami Kimoto everyone!"
~~~
"So Casey, who do you have waiting for you at home?"
"Well I've got my sister, my dad and... There's this girl."
"Oh? What's the lucky girl's name?"
"Her name's April..." Admitted Casey.
"I take it that she's the girl you volunteered for?"
"Yeah... She is.... There was no way in hell that I would let her fight to the death if Casey Jones has a say in it!"
"A very brave action there, Casey Jones everyone!"
~~~~
"It must be hard for you to leave behind your sister." Caesar looked at Chase, pity in his eyes. The ram mutant just ignored it, more focused on the wheat that decorated the sleeves of his creamish suit.
"Yeah... It was... My sister, she has been having nightmares for a while. I've always been there to help her through it, I just hope she has been doing fine without me..."
"Well Chase, you're going to go out there and win these games and before you know it you'll be back with your sister. Chase Smith everyone!"
~~~
"So I've been hearing a lot of rumors about you Cyn." Said Caesar, a serious expression on his face, "do you care to confirm any of those rumors?"
The girl just laughed brushing her brown and purple hair off her shoulder so that the bejewled bust of her dress could be revealed, "I must say Caesar, I'm very flattered to hear that." She said flashing him a cold smile, "but what would be the fun in confirming any of them? It'll be more entertaining if I just leave everyone to their own ideas." She flattened the dark purple chiffon that flowed out from the sparkling bust.
"Well how about that eye? How did you become half blind?"
"Oh this thing?" She pointed to the cross shape scar over her right eye, the scar gleaming in the light, "well I can confirm that this was the product of some... Uh... Let's say family difficulties."
"Oh, how very cryptic. Cyn Cobra everyone!"
She flashed the world a mischievous grin, giving them a small wave as the cobra necklace and earrings came into view, reflecting the light.
~~~
"You know it's not often we come across a double mutant. Especially one that is extravagant as yourself . What is it like being able to hear with two sets of ears?" The interviewer gestured over to Destiny's wolf ears and human ears that could be visible in the mane of brown and black hair she had. She sat there, an elegant black dress clutching onto her person, a large gap on her back allowing room for her feathered wings. In all the lights that were stationed on stage they gleamed even more, the black feathers shining well under the light.
"Oh both ears don't work." She explained, "only the wolf ones work, if you try whispering in my human ear I'll only be able to hear the noise of it with my wolf ones."
"How interesting, Destiny Luna everyone!"
~~~~
"Coral, that's quite a pretty name there." Complimented Caesar, his eyes sparkling, "it even matches the colour of your dress!"
The girl smiled, a little blush taking over her features as she shifted in the rather sparkly outfit, "why thank you Caesar. I actually feel quite pretty in this dress."
"As you should! You look stunning! Coral Moon everyone!"
~~~
"Now i have never been to district eleven before so tell us, what do we have that's different to what you have."
"Food!" Exclaimed Mikey, getting all giddy and excited in his chair, "dudes, your food is awesome!"
"Oh? So we have different food." Said Caesar with a slight chuckle, "what's your favourite then?"
"Dudes, the pizza is wicked! No joke. I would marry it if I could!"
"Well we'll see about legalizing pizza marriage, Michelangelo Curstor everyone!"
~~~~
"That's quite a score you had achieved during the evaluation. I think I can say for everyone here that we're all impressed."
Murmurs of agreement emerged from crowd, making Sythia's red eyes land on them. A gleaming red teardrop necklace clutched onto her neck, a strappy red and black dress being the outfit she was wearing for what might be her last 'normal' night.
"With such a high score do you think you'll be able to win the games?"
She just shrugged, not bothering to answer the question. Not seeing any real point to it, they'll see it later on anyways.
"Uh... Sythia Blanchard everyone!
~~~
Silence followed the interviewer's question. Leo taking time to form an answer and to examine what was asked.
"I want to win." He said slowly, his gaze fixated on his rather large hands, "I want to get back to my father and look after him. But I don't think that will happen. His condition... It's only becoming worse."
"Well my heart goes out for you and your father, Leonardo Hamoto everyone!"
