The Last Day

Alex darted from ledge to ledge in the simulation she was in. Her twin tails swirling behind her as she hacked at the always attacking projections with the hatchets she had with her. She loved the feel of destroying the coding that made them up, enjoying the fast movement that was her dodges and attacks in order to keep her 'alive'. She felt relaxed and slightly at home doing this spot of training. Out of everything that she was faced with during this journey she has found this to be the best thing to happen. The days of training they were provided with and the bunch of stations they were given. She found it so... Freeing.

With one last hack her training simulation was complete. She straightened herself up, her tails constantly intertwining with one another as she walked out, with hatchets in hand.

"I should probably do a bit more of the survival stuff." She said to herself quietly, her reddish brown eyes flickering from station to station, "but which one..?

She saw that there was a fair amount of people at each station and she wasn't exactly in the mood to converse with any of those people, especially now when death for them will be here in a matter of hours. Thinking a bit more about her options she then decided to head over to the knot tying station, passing by a conversation coming from the camouflage station.

"So you can control all the elements?" Queried Chase, raising his eyebrow in surprise as he continued to paint his arm.

Alexis nodded, a gentle smile fixed on her face as she finished up her own camouflage, "yeah I can. It can be pretty handy at times but it can get annoying."

"That's hard to imagine." Said Chase, his sky blue eyes going over the masterpiece she had concocted, "you're really good at this."

A faint blush dusted Alexis's cheeks, her immediate reaction to the compliment was casting her eyes downwards in order to avoid his gaze. "Thanks." She said softly, "painting has never really been my thing."

Her blush only intensified as she heard Chase laugh, him finding it hard to believe that she had just said that. "Could have fooled me." He said, putting the paintbrush away. He walked over to the near by tree that he was suppose to be replicating, placing his form arm against the bark. "Now give me your honest opinion, is this believable?"

Alexis looked up, her eyes going over to Chase's arm, judging how well it blended in with the piece of nature. She couldn't help but bring a hand to her mouth to hide mirthful smile that was growing on her face, and to suppress the laughter that was just begging to be heard. It was quite evident that camouflaging wasn't Chases's strong suit and the girl so badly didn't want him to know just encase it would hurt his feelings.

"What?" He asked, wanting and answer and curious for why her eyes seemed to shining with some of glee, "is it really that bad?"

She shook her head, denying it but the fact she had managed to slip a giggle out just revealed the lie, thus making Chase shake his head at Alexis. His eyes weren't full of disappointment for her lying, they still gleamed in the light- amusement filling them instead.

"Calling Shelby Bradford, Alexandra Queen, Chris Jackelon, Destiny Luna and Sythia Blanchard!" Yelled out David, strolling into the training room with his arms crossed.

A look of surprise washed over Alexis's face, not expecting her to be called. She just hoped she wasn't in trouble or anything.

She bid Chase farewell before leaving the station behind to join the small group that had already gathered around David.

"Come with me." He said before turning and walking out of the facility and into the hallway. With some confuse looks and puzzled thoughts the five of them followed, all of them trying to guess why they were needed.

It didn't take all that long for them to get their answer, several twists and turns later they arrived in what appears to be a lab.Weapons lined the walls and bottles of serums were stack on shelves with lab equipment to join them. On the large steel table that was set before them was five clear canisters- all of which holding a glowing red liquid.

"Do any of you know why you're here?" Asked David, leaning against the table. His arms crossed and his eyes going over them.

Silence met his question, making him sigh before going on.

"All five of you hold special abilities- changing into animals, control the weather, ect. We need to make the Games fair for all of those that do not hold those abilities, so I will be injecting you with this serum." He gestured to the line of canisters, "they won't wipe you away of your abilities. You will still be able to shift, make it rain and all that however it will sap you of your energy if you use it too often. If you end up shifting into your animal form and stay like that for a long period of time there is a high chance that you will past out from exhaustion, making you vulnerable. So use your abilities wisely. Now line up."

They did as he said and lined up in front of him, each and every single one of them offering up their arm so that he could inject them with the serum. And once that rather mundane task was completed they were free to get back to their training.

Over to one side Raphael could be seen beating up a punching bag, executing violent kicks and punches thus making it swing around dangerously on it's chain. He narrowed his electric green eyes in concentration, beads of sweat trickling down his face as he kept on pushing himself to his limits- trying oh so hard to complete his goal.  The goal was simple- get the punching bag off it's chain and only then will he be satisfied with his training.

Lucky for him that feeling of satisfaction was felt quicker then he thought he would. Unfortunately it would have to come at a cost as the heavy bag sailed off and hit the orange-masked turtle. Raph's eyes widen in surprise at the action, not expecting the bag to hit anyone. Feeling, slightly guilty he jogged over, dragging the bag off.

"Are you okay?" Queried Raph, his mouth set into a thing line as he offered his hand.

Mikey groaned and rubbed the back of his head, "urgh, what hit me?"

"A punching bag. Are you fine or what?"

"Yeah... I uh think I'm good, bro." Replied Mikey, accepting Raph's hand. Raph pulled him up, Mikey's baby blue eyes going from the punching bag then over to Raph.

"Next time look where you're standing." And with that Raph walked off, finding another skill to practice at.
