Painting the Arena Crimson

The gong sounded, echoing through out the arena- being the sound to start off the games. All of them lept of their plates, running and flying in various of directions, some took the much more smarter route and ran for shelter whereas the majority ran straight for the cornucopia, believing that they get through the bloodbath unscratched. Of course they would be proven wrong as they were met with deadly blows.

Sythia, Destiny and Kayla flew off their platforms, two of the three going straight for the cornucopia while one headed straight for the forest. At the height the three of them were at they could see that they weren't surrounded by forest, there appeared to be various of terrains scattered around- city, ice, rocky and so on. But none of them took it much into account as they wanted to complete their missions.

Destiny zoomed forwards, flying up high before diving down to pick a pack and a weapon. Kayla was close behind, snatching up only one pack before she took up to the sky again, circling around before swooping in to obtain another and a sword. It was during this excursion did she face some difficulties, two knives cutting through the air as they aim to make their mark on the dragon mutant. But she was quick, drawing up one of the packs in front of her face so that the knives embedded themselves into the thick material.  She took if once more, flying in the direction that she saw Chris ran in.

So since Kayla wasn't the first to spill her blood, someone was to take her place. That being Cedric Bush, the young mutant trying to get his hands on a sword- his young mind telling him that he would be invincible with it. Unfortunately for him his actions were cut short as he was kicked down. He tried to scramble back to his feet and make a move on but when his eyes landed on the gaze of Shelby he knew that he would be unlikely to escape. So death's arms he greeted as his blood spilled out the new wound.

Following Cedric in his steps was Coral, little pants escaping her as she tried to run from the mass of murder that was happening. But fate seemed to have other plans as she was met with a harsh blow to the head. She fell onto her knees, dazed however the feeling didn't last for long as sje was met by another blow thus making her limp and lifeless.

"See ya on the flip side bitch!" Yelled out Cyn, happily skipping off with her metal bat covered in blood.

Still running with the need for supplies in mind was Yami, her eyes narrowing in concentration as she tried to make it there without being hit. So you could imagine the shock she was feeling as a sword sliced through her, being the reason for her death. Looking up it was shown the Chase was the cause of her death, blood appearing to be a leech as it clung onto the blade of the sword. It wasn't long before Chase fell into the same fate as Cedric, Coral and Yami, the but end of a spear jabbing him in the face therefore distracting him as the spear head pierced his chest. The ram mutant then fell, joining Yami as an expressionless Caleb looked on.

Both Casey and Raph manage to make it through without any life threatening injuries, the two of them picking up survival stuff alongside a weapon or two before heading away from the drama that was taken place. Both Donnie and Katrina decided to follow their example and just headed straight to the trees, the two of them determined not to be separated from one another.

Mikey too ran off, so badly not wanting to take part in the main theme of the games. The turtle wasn't the only one with that plan, Leo, Alex and Kat both followed in suit- Kat hold onto her arm as blood escaped a wound she had got from a knife. She didn't let it faze her though, believing that finding shelter would be the best thing to do.

So the whole of the cornucopia was cleared out allowing the careers to claim it for their own. Corpses surrounded the structure, acting as some sort of warning that if anyone tries to get to them they ill all face the consequences.

Caleb looked around at all the mess, the blood shining in the light making him think of melted rubies. His green eyes scanned the whole of the area, in search for any more people that was outside of his alliance. When he saw nothing he turned away, walking up to his group- spear in hand and a plan in mind.

"So what's our plan?" Queried Tyler.

"I believe that we should camp out here. We have all the supplies and the weapons, so it makes the most sense." Spoke up Serena, avoiding to look at all the dead bodies.

"Then we just sit here... And do nothing?" Asked Shadow, not looking rather please with the suggestion.

Before Serena could answer Caleb butt in, voicing out the idea he had, "no. We need to look around to see if this is all we have. If it isn't then we find higher ground, that's our best chance. That way we're not out in the open being easy targets."

"Then when do you suggest we should start moving?" Questioned Sarina, her eyes flashing.

"To-" But the red head had to stop himself, seeing something out of place in what as suppose to be their sanctuary. He frowned and walked over to the strange glint he saw, everyone watching his movements with question on what he was doing in their minds. It didn't take long for his intentions to be revealed, as his hand gripped onto a head full of hair dragging the now anxious looking girl into view. He glared at her, Alexis sweating in fear for what was to come. It wasn't all that surprising really, a stab in the chest and like that she was gone being no more.

"As I said." Resumed Caleb, dropping the corpse and strolling back to his group, "we should leave tomorrow. Serena's right, we have a lot of resources here so we should make the use of it. Is that good for everyone?"

Nods met the question, a satisfied look settling over his features as he turned to look at the number of bodies that were laid out- appearing to be dolls abandoned by  child.

He was going to make it home, he could feel it.
