Moonlit Encounters

Caleb readied a pack, having it filled with some weapons and food from the two packs the careers had originally brought up. He slowly made his was down the mountain, night still occupying the arena. He jumped from ledge and ledge, being sure to keep his balance as he continued his way down, now believing it was time to get himself much more involved with the games. As of right now there were only eight people left counting himself. Seven people standing in between him and his vicotry that he will be able to get. He knows it, he can feel it.

Meanwhile skipping on the edge of the forest (the edge where it blends into different terrains to be exact) was the lovely Cyn. Blood covering her body to indicate that she had her fair share of murder during these games, and she was absolutely loving it. She was loving it even more knowing that those at home watching would be shock about what she has done, she also knows that they had no idea of what her plan was- why she is being so careful with her kills. Well if it all goes smoothly then everyone will know and everyone will be shocked. She hope.

Things only really got interesting when a handful of moments had past. Caleb had finally reached the ground, his pack feeling like dead weight on his back therefore making him drop it to the grass floor. He lifted a hand and wiped the sweat off his brow, panting as he tried to get his breath back.

Nearly reaching him was Cyn. Her being rather relaxed, dragging her weapon on the ground as she took in the scenery that was around her. Taking extra care in noting ever little detail around her, thinking of ways to ruin it.

It didn't take long for the two of them to find one another and once they did you could imagine the outcome of their encounter.

"My, my. Why isn't it the District one, brat." Said Cyn, putting her weight on one leg as she looked at Caleb with a sly expression.

"And isn't it the psychopath." Said Caleb narrowing his eyes as he looked back at her.

Cyn just grinned and bowed, "guilty," she admitted before standing back up to look at him. She twirled her bat in her hand, her fingers brushing the cool smooth metal, "I assume we know where this will be headed, correct?"

"Right." Grunted Caleb, gripping his weapon tightly- getting into a stance.

"Lovely! So you are ready for the magic trick then?"

"The what?"

"Oh you know!" Cyn slammed her bat on the wooden staff of Caleb's spear, her face quite close to his, "it's quite well known."

"Well let me apologize since I have no idea what you're talking about." Caleb kicked her in the stomach but that did little to her, however it did have a slight impact for she backed off a little.

"Then perhaps I should jog your memory a bit." Smirked the girl, she dropped her bat this time as she lunged forward faking a punch to his face as she sent a kick to Caleb's collarbone instead. As soon as she was in that position, she put weight into elevated leg- instantly making Caleb drop onto his knees. He growled, obviously unhappy by the actions, he attempted into getting back onto his feet but the action was rejected as a fist collided into his face- blood streaming out of his nose.

"Aw c'mon Caleb." She cooed, bouncing on the balls of her feet. "You can't be done yet! I barely even started!"

"Trust me." He brought his sleeve to his nose, wiping the blood off his face, "I'm not done." He reached for his spear, got to his feet and instantly charge, the want for impaling the older girl burning in his mind. But she moved swiftly away from him, his body breezing past her. It didn't take long for him to register that fact and when he did he instantly turned around, trying to use his spear to hurt her in someway. But there wasn't any point in that for she managed to catch it with ease, her hand wrapped around the spear head as it was aimed at her chest. For a brief moment her face was neautral- void from any expression before the grin made it's appearance once more as she fixated her other hand onto the weapon. She yanked it towards her, Caleb stumbling forward. She let go of it quickly, rushing forward and taking Caleb down to the ground- her arms wrapped around his neck therefore putting him in a choke hold.

" abra-cadaver!" She shrieked, moving his head quick to one side thereby snapping it. The canon shot rang out, confirming the death of District one.

Dropping the smile alongside the new corpse, Cyn looked around. Her face lacking of any emotion, her eyes cold.

She decided that now, since she is so close to completing her plan she will spend the next handful of hours being herself. Being her own person opposed to the one that people thought she was, that people want her to be. Their expectations will no longer matter to her, memories of the past will stop plaguing her mind along with those cursed words.

She slowly walked over to Caleb's pack, bending down to look through it's contents. It didn't take long for her to discover a single katana blade. The girl pulled it out, the blade reflecting the light of the moon as she ran her thumb along the sharp edge- a cut being created.

Just one more kill.

One more kill then she's done.
