Getting Prepared

Destiny gripped the machete tightly, trying to get the general feel of it as she practiced against an invisible enemy, creating quick and speedy attacks. She had been practicing with this particular weapon for the past few days but despite the amount of practice she had done it still didn't feel right to her. She felt as if she was doing something wrong however she couldn't quite think what it was.

"You're coming on too strong."

She turned her head to the side to see Leo watching her. He walked over to her and placed his hand on her back to straighten her up.

"It's also easier if you keep posture up." He commented, "try now."

Keeping the turtle's suggestions in mind, Destiny tried to attack again noticing that her movements didn't feel as stocky as they did before. She notice her energy flowing through her arms as she moved, feeling more at peace and less focus on trying to hit harder. She blinked mildly surprised but then a grin blossomed on her face showing that she was happy with the improvement.

"Thanks." She said sincerely, her green eyes locking into Leo's blue ones. Leo offered her a smile, his sapphire orbs sparkling. The two continued to converse with Leo helping her to nail down some attacks and movements.

"You seem to know a lot of about sword fighting." Destiny stated.

"My Father taught me all of it. He thought that it would be good if I could fight for myself if I was in trouble." Explained Leo.

The wolf-raven girl nodded in understanding, "that's quite thoughtful of him."

A rather downcast look too over the blue masked turtle, his eyes becoming sad as his thoughts went over the fact that Splinter was sick. He wished he was back home helping him, he would be much more at peace to know that his Father was okay.

"Yeah... He really is."

Meanwhile, in the next station over Serena and Yami was at the climbing station- waiting for the current tribute to get across it so that Yami could have a go. And as they stood there, Serena decided that it would be best to strike up a conversation with the girl; believing it would be best that she has more people with her oppose to against her.

"Do you climb a lot?" She queried, not able to think of anything else to say.

Believing that the question was meant for someone else, Yami ignored her. Her eyes fixated on the tribute that was taking a very long time to complete the task. However with a simple tap of the shoulder Yami's attention was switched over to the girl behind her.

"Do you climb a lot?" Serena repeated, obviously wanting an answer.

"What's it to you?" Demanded Yami, believing there was no point in answering a rather petty question.

"I just want to get to know you. A conversation starter, you know? So, do you?"

Yami just shrugged, "sometimes. It's sort of hard to in a district that cares about fashion."

"I thought you would have like it. After all you have lived in district eight."

Again the girl shrug, not being all that talkative. She glanced back at the obstacle course, itching to have a go on it for her dislike of conversations.

Refusing to take the girl's silence Serena let loose another question, "who do you think is going to win this?"

"Someone who is good."

"And who do you think that is?"

"I don't know." Replied Yami, her eyes going over each of the tributes in the room, "bat girl seems pretty good... So does that raccoon girl, psycho too."

"Psycho?"

"Cross eyed girl." Said Yami, nodding in the direction of Cyn who was currently slamming her bat into a dummy. "I don't know, everyone here seems pretty good."

Serena nodded, agreeing with her, "yeah... Hey, I have a question."

"What?"

"I was just wondering if you... You know, want to ally at some point? If I get kick out of the careers that is."

"If you can find me then sure, whatever. I don't care." And before Serena had the chance to reply to that answer, Yami lept away- her hands gripping a hold of the first rung- beginning to make her way across.

Sythia watched from the ceiling, her crimson eyes flickering from tribute to tribute as thoughts ran through her mind, keeping her very well occupied. Her thoughts ranged from why the Capitol would want to be so "fancy" to who would be killed first. She even wondered which one would be her first meal, every single one of the tributes looked so delicious- the very thought of drinking the sweet, cool nectar that was their blood was enough to her mouth water.

Especially the blood of the orange masked turtle that was having a go at the nun-chucks. The bat mutant observed him, watching him carefully as he performed his tricks and yelled out various of strange sounding words.

From what she has seen he was incredibly annoying and way too energetic for his own good. Perhaps he would be her first meal, her first kill in the games.  Then again, following that logic she may as well kill everyone present. All of them were just so annoying  and they all just frustrate her so bloody much. She was actually finding it difficult to not lunge at one of them and kill them right there on the spot, but after what happened yesterday it might not be all that smart.

Deciding it would be best to satisfy the aggression that had now taken over her being, she flew down, her hands snatching up a small tanto to practice with. Granted she didn't really need a weapon to kill or fight for herself, she has her fangs and wings to ensure her own safety. But It wouldn't help to know how to wield some sort of weapon.

She spun the small dagger in her hand a few times, before releasing it- therefore making it tear through the air and into the head of the target practice. But to her eyes it wasn't just a target practice, it was the head of dear Michelangelo.
