Accusing and Seperating
The sound of the cannon marking Shadow's death most definitely didn't go unnoticed. Those that were sleeping jolted awake, those that were still up straightened up- looking around.
Serena looked around her members wondering if it was one of their's that got killed. And she was beginning to reach that conclusion when Caleb and Shadow weren't present.
"Ah... Guys? Where's Caleb and Shadow?" Asked Serena slowly, lifting herself up from the dusty ground.
"I saw them going off somewhere." Commented Shelby, standing herself up- dusting off her pants.
Before Serena could suggest that they go and find them Caleb came into view- a distraught expression on his face.
"Caleb!" She said, walking over to him, "what happened? Where's Shadow?"
He let out a distressed sigh, running his fingers through his hair before he answered the question, "we just went off to talk a little and uh... She... She slipped and fell off the cliff, I tried to help her up but I was a little too late..."
A lie, quite obvious to most but Serena who just nodded, accepting it. However some people weren't going to stand for it.
"Caleb, I believe you might be hiding something from us." Said Sarina, her blue eyes flashing as her mouth was pulled into a frown, "I suggest you tell us the truth."
"I am." He insisted
"I noticed your fingers twitching, something that usually I haven't seen happening to so so it's a safe bet to say that you're lying." Pointed out Sarina, flicking her white hair over one shoulder.
"It's from the shock."
"It's funny that I don't believe you." Spoke out Shelby her own blue eyes narrowing with suspicion shifting in the depths, "you killed her didn't you?"
"Now hang on a moment here!" Said Serena, instantly defend her partner, "you have no proof to accuse him of such a thing!"
"And we don't have proof that Shadow just simply slipped off and died!" Snapped the winter loving girl, "also are you just going take his word instead of a cyborg's?"
"Well computer's aren't all that smart you know!" Replied Serena, crossing her arms. Sari's eyes flashed again, slight hurt in them from what the careless comment. A slight sigh left her, as she turned around- knowing that this alliance wasn't going to last another second.
"Hey! Where you going?"
The cyborg turned around seeing their eyes on her.
"I'm leaving." She said simply, "this alliance was never going to last all that long and now appears to be a good enough time to make my exit."
"So you're just going to leave?" It was Caleb that asked this.
"Well I do value my life." She said simply, "so it'll probably best if I leave now before someone kills me
And without anymore interruptions Sarina walked off, making her way down the steep mountain which took them the majority of yesterday to climb. After a bit more arguing between Shelby and Serena, the two Bradfords then made their own way down having had enough, and thus the separation of the careers.
"How do you expect to win now?" Shouted out Caleb to the climbing siblings.
"Without you, that's how!" Came a reply
The tributes of the luxurious tributes watched as their once ally members created distance from them. Caleb just looked on, his eyes not revealing any of the emotions that were stirring up. Yes it was a pity that they had left, a pity that their pack was separated so early on but now he suppose it would be more easier for him to win, less people to share the resources with and he supposed that there would be less people he would feel sorry about killing.
"Thanks for sticking for me." Murmured Caleb. Serena flashed him a smile, a casual shrug of the shoulders made.
"We're allies aren't we?"
He managed a weak smile as he answered, "yeah..."

"I hate this." Grumbled Raph, "Casey we've been wandering around for hours! Can ya pick a spot yet?"
"No Raph, it has to be perfect!" Called out the rather lanky teen, several spaces ahead of his mutant friend.
"Our last spot was perfect!"
"No! It was too cold!"
Raph groaned, grumbling to himself, "this guy..."
A few more moments had past before the two of them stopped at a location that met Casey's standards. It was still in the forest but here masses of logs and sticks littered the area, a pile of them stationed in such away that it looked to be an extremely delicate shack. Casey's brown eyes twinkled slightly as he looked at it, his hands on his hips- his lips tugged into a slight smirk as his pack rested on his shoulders
"This is it Raph!"
Raph stared at their new shelter, his shoulder's slumping along with the expression on his face, "are you kidding me? Casey. We've been walking around since the morning, we left our old shelter for you to find this garbage."
"It's not garbage!" He insisted, "it'll work. We just uh... Need to touch it up a bit."
"Or we find another place..."
"No! This is fine."
"Fine then!" Exclaimed Raph, throwing his hands in the air before dropping his pack right in front of the 'entrance' of their new home.
The boys then began to work on their home, gathering up more wood and messing with the branches until a makeshift hut was formed, appearing to be more stable then the mess that it was in before. Casey looked at it, feeling rather proud, especially as they manage to set traps around it to stop anyone from attacking them in the night. Deciding that he deserves a bit of an award he looked into his pack, trying to see if there was any food in there.
"Aw man!" He yelled out, disappointed.
"What?"
"There's no food in here!" He whined, evidently displeased. At that claim Raph looked in his own pack, trying to see if he too was missing out on the food.
"Yeah... No food in here either." Said Raph, frowning in confusion, "don't tell me you ate all the food Casey."
"I only had two apples bro! That's it!"
"Well our food didn't just magically disappear!"
And that was an extremely true statement for the raccoon mutant was currently perched on the branch of a tall gum tree, munching on a bag of chips that she had snagged from the duo below her. She looked at them, masked by the leaves, finding hilarity in their confusion for their missing food.
Sure she has the chance to kill them now, but they're proving to be a rather good valuable source of food and she didn't really know where all the other tributes hurried off to so she just figured she would stick by the two she can track. There wasn't a big plan she had in mine, but she guessed that if it dwindles down to the three of them then perhaps she would make her kill making an easy win.
But of course things were never suppose to be easy in the games, little did the raccoon mutant know there was another pair of eyes watching the turtle and his friend. And those eyes showed deep, deep hunger and desire.
"So what do we do? Hunt?" Asked Casey, "is there even wildlife in this place?"
"Only one way to find out." Muttered Raph, as he looked in his pack again- fishing out a hunter's knife. He was slightly disappointed by the sight of the weapon, having to preferred the sais he had been practicing with, but hey. Better then nothing, right?
Casey too took out the knife, the blade looking strangely flimsy to him. He pouted not happy with it too.
He looked over to his red masked terrapin friend, "so Raph, you wanna guard the fort?"
"And let you have all the fun? Shell no!"
"Okay then." Grinned Casey, an idea coming to his mind, "whoever gets the least amount of game takes first watch."
"Deal." Smirked Raph.
And with that said the two went in their separate directions, both keen on getting some meat so that they didn't have to take the first watch. Little did they know that it would be an easy win for one of them as the odd were most definitely not in their favour.
Casey slowly walked around, keeping his brown eyes peeled for any signs of animal life, he listened to his surroundings carefully- not wanting to miss out on the possibility of food. It became apparent that he wasn't listening as intently as he should, for he would have noticed movement in the branches above him, hungry eyes looking down on him- waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
"C'mon animals. Just come out for a bit." Spoke Casey, still not spotting any signs of woodland creatures, "there's got a be some of them running around...."
A rustle met his ears, instantly making him turn around, "hey!" He yelled out having believed that was an animal.
He was only half right.
A body flew out from the tree taking Casey by surprise. The person's hands were outstretched, causing an impact as they hit the boy's chest. He stumbled back, landing on his butt as he looked up to meet blood red eyes. Sythia bared her fangs at him, her wings folding themselves in.
"Whoa! Whoa!" Yelled out Casey, completely taken a back, "you don't wanna start a fight with the Casey Jones! Trust me!"
Not wanting to waste any time she lunged forward, her target being the neck of the boy. However Casey wasn't just going to go down like that, he lifted up the hand holding the knife- the blade managing to make a slight cut on the vampire mutant. as she neared her face to his. But she wasn't going to let that stop her for she continued to try and reach his neck- the movement only being stopped by a kick in the gut that allowed Casey to shuffle further away from her. He quickly got to his feet, standing his ground as he refused to run away from a fight. But so was Sythia as she made another attack, not wanting her food to be wasted.
The two were at each other's throats for a while before the vampire managed to pin Casey to the ground, giving her free access to his neck. Her fangs pierced his flesh, the sweet nectar of blood sliding down her throat- satisfying the hunger she had been feeling ever since she got picked. It was a shame the capitol didn't offer blood.
A cannon sounded off, the pale body of Casey now abandoned in the forest. His brown eyes wide and glazed over, marking his death.
