A death and alliances
It was day now and Cyn was slowly walking around the whole of the arena, marveling at all the terrains she had past, loving the fact that she could kill people in more ways then she could imagine. A smile danced on her lips, her eyes sparkling with a feeling of confidence and joy. Here, she felt at peace, here she felt as she was in control- immune almost.
During the days that had past in her circling of the forest's edge she found that there was a city complex, a mountain terrain, a winter one, a swamp one thus making her giddy with joy. She wondered which of the terrains would have the most people for her to kill- half of her believed it to be the city complex. It would be familiar to most people, after all everyone here has obviously slept and lived buildings- it would make the most sense. But then apart of her wondered if more would be lurking in the forest ring. Good shelter, food and meat as well as water, also... Who even knows about the city complex? Would a lot of people even know about the city? Heck would a lot of people even know about the fact that there are multiple terrains?
"No." She whispers, "they're all closed minded, they don't see things in the way I do."
She continued to walk, enjoying the beauty of the arena and thoughts that constantly whispered at her. Devious plans, cruel tricks. The idea of them was enough to drive her mad, but she needs patience... She can't do anything until she completed her circuit- also it would take time to track down those that she wouldn't mind hitting with her bat. She has a plan and she will be sure that she will complete it. She's going to be the one that makes the Games much, much more interesting.
A flash of black fur came up into her vision causing her to stop in her tracks. Someone is right there... She shouldn't kill anyone now though... She wasn't done yet.
But dear lord... The need just to wrap her hands around that person's neck, to dent their skull with her bat, to break every single bone in their body.....
That's it. Fuck the plan, she was going for it.
"Hey! Hey!" She yelled out, the black fur instantly disappearing- as if the owner was scared. A grin grew on Cyn's face and she gripped the cool, smooth metal bat in her hand.
"Guess we're playing tag then!" She yelled out before racing after the person, that she soon found out was Kat. "Awww here kitty, kitty!"
The cat mutant threw a glance over her shoulder, a look of worry passing over her features as she continued to run. She cursed to herself, angry that she wasn't being extra careful and angry that of all people she has a psychopath chasing after her.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Kitty! Kiiiittttyyyyyy! Come hereeeeeeeee."
The mutant huffed, trying her best to pick up the pace but no matter how fast she seemed to be running the psycho always seemed to be right behind her- eyes glinting with craziness, a grin of pure and utter excitement.
"Hey! Hey! You know what time it is?" Asked Cyn, now extremely close to Kat that she was basically biting her heels.
Not wanting to know the answer to that particular question, the cat mutant tried to zoomed ahead- the action only stopped when a fierce hit landed on the top of her head. Instantly ending her life.
"Smashing time!" Screeched out Cyn, laughing as she continued to collide the weapon onto the corpse, blood splattering everywhere- bones snapping and breaking with each hit.
Now on the other side of the circuit was the Bradford siblings, the two of them having no knowledge of a death until a canon sounded.
"I wonder who died." Said Tyler glumly, disliking that sound.
"Well we'll find out tonight." Sighed Shelby, wincing when she heard of the sound. The two walked onward, thankful that they had manage to survive their night of pathetic shelter. Their main goal for today was to find resources and a safe spot for the night. Thankfully for them they were nearing the city terrain where they just so happened to stumble on someone.
"Dudes!" Came a muffled shout.
Upon instinct the two got into defensive poses- ready to take on whoever it was that called. Those poses though weren't necessary as a Michelangelo dropped out of the tree. Shelby and Tyler instantly relaxed, knowing well that the orange masked terrapin wouldn't attack them.
"Uh... What were you doing in the tree?" Asked Shelby, slightly confused by that.
"I was getting nuts!" Chirped the young mutant, instantly jumping onto his feet, putting an open hand out to show the handful of nuts he got. He plucked one from the group and threw it into his mouth, chewing on it thoughtfully. "Want some?"
Tyler just shrugged and took a few, throwing them into his mouth as he too ate them. Mikey turned to Shelby, his hand still out.
"No thanks." She declined politely making Mikey shrug and threw the remaining in his mouth.
"Hey, you guys wanna be allies?" He asked, a child like grin spread out on his face as he hopped from one foot to the other.
Tyler looked over to Shelby as she looked at him. He had quirked an eyebrow, soundlessly asking what she thought about the idea. She gave an indecisive shrug, saying that she wouldn't mind. Mikey was harmless as a fly, she knew that he wouldn't hurt them- he's pretty trustworthy from what she has seen and he has too much child like innocence for there to be a thought of murder in his mind.
Tyler looked back at the turtle, his brown and blue eyes focused on the terrapin.
"Sure, we'll be allies."
"Awesome!" Grinned Mikey, offering his fist that Tyler replied with a fist bump, "booyakasha!"
Now a little away away was Kayla and Chris, exiting out of the city terrain in order to hunt. Kayla holding onto the Kodachi she had picked up while Chris had a set of twin daggers that got embedded into one of the survival pack during the bloodbath.
"Kayla, I really don't like this." Muttered Chris, his eyes looking at the weapons, "you gave me weapons. Daggers."
"Yes Chris, I did. Very good observation skills there, I'm glad that your eyes work."
"But why give me, weapons?!"
She looked over at him, silently asking if he really was being serious, "how else are you going to defend yourself? You can't be Forrest Gump and run away from every single fight, you need to defend yourself."
"But... What if I don't get into any fights?"
"....We are in the Hunger Games, if you don't get into a single fight during the whole thing then either the makers are all blind or you're already dead." Said the dragon mutant in a rather blunt fashion, "you're going to get into a fight whether you like it or not Chris and if-"
Before she could even finish her sentence a blur green tackled her to the ground causing a scream of surprise to be sounded. Chris who was behind her, blinked- taken a back by the sudden actions.
He couldn't help but watch as the two rolled over on the ground, unsure on how to separate them without appearing to be aggressive. He sniffed slightly, the smell of smoke and ash reaching his nose, thus making him look in the direction that the person came from. Wondering if there had been a fire.
Eventually the two on the ground had managed to stop struggling around, the flimsy hunter knife was at the base of Kayla's neck while her foot was on the plastrone with her hand curled around the massive green wrist that was attached on the hand holding the knife. She looked deeply into the blazing green eyes, pants coming from her.
"Okay." She said quietly, "Raph... Let's just calm down a moment, okay?"
"Did you kill him?" He snapped, narrowing his eyes- anger and panic blazing in them thanks to the fire he just got out of.
"I haven't killed anyone at all." She said calmly, "you were allied with Casey right? I'm sorry he got killed."
"So am I." He replied his tone gruff, anger lying just beneath the surface. In a swift motion, Kayla used her other arm to push Raph's elbowed around- her hand around his wrist helping to direct the arm onto the ground therefore allowing her to get out from underneath him and to stand up. Her scaled arms raised to show that she's not going to attack.
But Raph just took that as a chance to fight- thinking with anger instead of common sense. He sent out harsh attacks- swipes, punches, kicks. But Kayla kept on blocking with her arms- at some stage throwing away the knife therefore just making the terrapin to attack her using combat moves. Chris was going to intervene any moment but was stopped when he saw Kayla's blue eyes staring at him, a shake of her head telling him not to interfere.
The guy needed to let off some steam, it was obvious. The way he acted, the look on his face. It was plain as day. And so she was going to allow him to, eventually he'll run out of steam and then his mind will be clear. Perhaps then she could ask him for an alliance, she's seen the way he fought during training and he managed to get a pretty high score. Also he has a strong spirit something that'll be helpful for Chris's spirit can be... Actually, let's not get into that.
Soon the fighting slowed down to a stop and Raph was panting, his rather long run and fighting he had done finally catching up to him. Believing it was safe, Kayla lowered her arms, rubbing them slightly thanks to the impact she made them go through.
"You done?"
"Yeah." Huffed Raph, straightening up. Crossing his arms, "sorry." He muttered, turning his head away.
Kayla just shrugged, not really caring, "no problem." She looked over to Chris who was staring at one point in the forest. "What's up?"
"I think we should get back to the city." He said slowly, "The fire's catching up and you won't be able to hunt..."
"There's a city?"
The two turned to look at Raph who was the one that asked the question.
"Yup." Answered Kayla, "there's little food there but good shelter."
Raph pursed his lips, the idea of shelter and food appealing to him after everything he's been through. As if sensing his hesitation on the question Kayla asked instead.
"If you want we can ally."
"Really...?" Raph asked, doubtful.
Again Kayla shrugged, "Chris is cool with anything to be honest, and I don't mind. It wouldn't hurt having an extra set of eyes."
"Alright then... Guess we can ally."
"Right well let's get shelter quickly." Said Chris, getting rather antsy at the sight of the flickering flames. And with that the three went back over to the city.
