Wilbur had shoved Techno away from the cloaked figure, my brother was gripping the sword that was now in his abdomen. "Wilby...", whispered Tommy. My brother's eyes looked away from us and glared at the figure, Techno began attacking the assassin. They dodged before sending Wither Skeletons towards Techno, Tommy and I began hacking our way towards Wil. "He's going to finish Wil!", shouted Tommy, desperation dripping from his every word. The feeling had also seeped into my bones as more skeletons blocked our path. Before we could lose hope, Regnar appeared before us and began to clear the way. "Go!", shouted Brynhilda as she held back some creatures.

My eyes turned back to Wilbur who looked at the figure with pure shock. My brother's sword lay next to him as he let go of the wither sword in his body. I shouted as the hooded figure pulled out the sword from Wil's body. Their main objective was Technoblade but Wilbur had gotten in their way so they had to finish him. Techno was desperately trying to make his way towards us as Wilbur held his wound. "WILBY!!!", shouted Tommy as we ran toward him and the assassin. Wilbur snapped out of his trance before he was pushed off by the assassin, he started falling backward off the edge but had managed to grip the hooded figure and both fell off. "Damn it!!", shouted Techno as he joined us. We looked over the edge, all hoping that Wilbur hadn't fallen into a pool of lava below. Much to our relief and pain, Wilbur had fallen onto a lower level of the ground but the stranger was nowhere in sight. I commanded my familiars to find the assassin as Wilbur weakly called us over. We quickly flew down and saw how blue hydrangeas began to slowly bloom from his blood. "NO! PLEASE DONT LEAVE!", I sobbed as I pressed down on the wound. My healing magic did nothing, if anything the wound began to bleed more profoundly.

Techno asked me to stop as he began to look through his bag. Tommy was in shock as I hugged Wilbur close, he was dying. "Theseus.", said Techno, snapping my younger brother from his shock. Tommy turned and took a potion that my husband was handing him. He quickly knelt on the opposite side of Wilbur and applied pressure on the wound along with me. "Wilbur! Drink it!", shouted Tommy, shoving a potion into our brother's mouth. His hands were shaking like mad, I couldn't blame him, our brother was vanishing before our eyes. Wilbur gave us all a small smile before he muttered something about it not doing anything. "Shut up! Techno, help us take him back! Mother will surely cure him!", cried Tommy. Tears began to fall from his eyes and he furiously wiped them but they didn't stop. Wilbur's hand grabbed Tommy's before he coughed up blood. "Tommy...Don't cry... Promise to protect what's precious to you...", whispered Wilbur, letting go to pat the boy's cheek. Tommy cursed as he laid his forehead on Wilbur's chest, Wil's hand was then placed on top of the boy's head before he looked at me. "Be strong, Sister... Please protect my wife and son... Promise me...", he said, his golden-colored eyes losing more of their shine. I held back my tears as he handed me his earring, he probably wanted me to give it to Fundy or Sally. "I promise, Wilby.", I whispered. He chuckled softly before more blood ran down his jaw, his hand gently was placed on my head so I would lean closer to him. "It's cold, isn't it?", he joked. I gave him a weak smile at his attempted joke, he was trying to cheer us up even though he was dying.

I felt his jaw moving but no words came out, I looked to see Wilbur smiling at my husband. Techno had joined us, he had his hand on the back of my brother's head and was wiping Wilbur's tears with the other. Our earrings began emitting a pale yellow, my brother's hand fell off our heads. Tommy began to wail before hugging Wilbur tighter while Techno was closing my brother's eyes. My arms had already been wrapped around my brother but now they were holding both Tommy and Wilbur. The overwhelming sadness washed over our hearts and everything became soulless to me as I looked at Wil. Memories of him came to mind, from the moment he learned to walk to the present. We were not blood-related but he was still my little brother and the pain was immensely weighing me down. A pair of arms pulled Wilbur away from us, I looked at Techno as he laid Wilbur on his cape. Tommy was hugging me as my husband began to collect the blue flowers around us. My parents had told us that when a God died, the flower that represented their souls would spring from their blood. It was said that you had to collect them to keep the soul close to the body. "Calm yourself...", whispered Techno as he moved my hand away from my arm. I looked over to see that I had dug my nails into my arm and the blood was soaking into Tommy's cape. The voices wailed and screamed in my head before I wiped my tears.

"Techno... We need to take him home...", I said. My voice felt off, I noticed because Technoblade froze next to me. The Blood God carefully picked up Wilbur's  corpse and began to lead us back up towards the place where we had been fighting. The fight had been won and now only piles of ashes remained of the creatures. "I'm sorry...", said Regnar as he fell on one knee before us. His tribe did the same, my hand was carefully placed on the Piglin's shoulder before he looked up. I shook my head as I reassured them that it wasn't their fault. "Then... Allow us to escort you back to the portal...", whispered Brynhilda, big tears rolling down her cheeks. The Piglin tribe escorted us to the portal and paid their respects to my brother before we went back.

When we entered the Overworld, Kristen was the first to look at Wilbur's corpse. She took Wilbur into her arms as if he weighed nothing. She sat down on the grass before she carefully fixed his hair and she caressed his cheek. "It's okay, darling... Mama is going to take you to rest now...", she smiled softly and kisses his forehead. We watched as she hugged him closer, she stayed there for a minute just holding him before big tears rolled down her cheeks. Philza was silent but the tears that fell from his eyes were enough to let me know that he was breaking. He quietly knelt next to Kristen while covering her with one of his wings. He held her and Wilbur close before he signaled us to join them. Tommy rubbed his eyes as he sat next to Kristen, he let out a shaky sigh as our mother placed her hand over his head.

"He's resting now... We should take his body home...", whispered Kristen. I could see her golden-colored eyes full with each passing minute before Tommy held her. She sobbed quietly and hugged her youngest. "It's okay, Mother...", he whispered and guided her to a carriage that waited for us outside the forest. Philza had taken Wilbur and began his journey to Veri, he wanted to take him home by himself. I had watched him fly off before a gentle hand guided me into the carriage. I sat with Techno and watched as Tommy held our grieving mother. The boy sighed as she fell asleep in his arms. "I don't like seeing Mother cry... Can't we help her just until we arrive home?", asked my brother. I nodded before telling him that we could place a gentle spell on her so she wouldn't have to suffer as much. Tommy and I agreed on placing a sleeping spell on our mother so she could properly rest after what had just happened. "He's gone, isn't he?", he whispered, tears filling his eyes. I whispered a soft confirmation before I was hidden away into Techno's chest, the pain took over as the trip was just beginning

When we arrived at Veri, Fundy came over and gripped Technoblade's cape. "What happened?! Where's my father?!", he shouted. Technoblade looked at him before telling him that Wilbur was dead. "I'm sorry, Fundy...", said Techno. I frowned as I noticed Fundy trembling as I handed him the emerald earring. The boy was looking at the piece of jewelry before he balled his fists. "This is your fault!", cried Fundy before pushing Techno. I gasped as tried to stop him, he had already punched my husband and had raised his fist to attack him again. Tommy was carrying Kristen when the events began to unfold, on the other hand, my husband did nothing to defend himself. Once I had managed to separate my nephew from my husband, I let out a shaky sigh. Fundy was hurting like all of us but I couldn't scold him since he had just lost his father. "I'll never forgive you! You should have taken that attack not my father!", shouted Fundy.

A hand took hold of Fundy's shoulder before he was pulled away from me. The sound of Sally's hand connecting with my nephew's cheek startled us all. We all looked at Sally, she looked devastated yet firm. Her petite figure shook and her hand was red, she was very delicate but at that moment, I feared even she would die before us. I could see that she had cried too much from the redness under her eyes and the puffiness that always formed as well. "Apologize to your Uncle, right now.", she said, looking at her son. Never in the time Sally had lived with us, had she hit or looked at Fundy the way she was doing at that moment. Her voice was weak but Fundy had heard what she had said. He looked ready to protest before he stopped. He bowed his head and apologized before balling his fists. "Philza has informed me of what happened with Wilbur...", whispered Sally, she looked ready to break. Tommy frowned before handing our mother to Technoblade, he carefully wrapped his arms around Sally, hiding her from the cold wind that was blowing. She began to sob as she hugged him back, Tommy glared at Fundy, who got the signal and began to apologize to Sally.

We walked into the castle to find Philza. He began to tell us that Wilbur was resting in one of the rooms in the ocean monument. "Father... I know my question will be impudent but... You and Mother are the Gods of Life and Death... Can't you revive Wilbur?", I asked. Philza sighed before asking us to wait for him in one of the drawing rooms. He took Kristen and headed to their room while I told Fundy to take his mother to her room. He nodded as carefully took her away, it was too hard for them to take the news so I hoped to do something to ease their pain. Tommy placed a hand on my shoulder, catching my attention. "Should we go into the room to wait for Father or should I go to my room?", he asked. I looked at my husband, he nodded before he guided us to one of the drawing rooms. We sat there and Mark served us tea. "Anything else, Your Majesty?", he frowned. I asked him to take a soothing tea to Sally and Fundy as my eyes focused on the warm liquid in the cup. "Yes, of course.", he said before leaving. The door opened and I looked up to see Philza enter the room, he thanked Mark before asking him to keep an eye on Kristen. "As you command, My Lord.", said Mark and left. The silence that filled the room was a bit overwhelming as we drank our tea. The sound of Philza's cup being placed on the table made us all look over at him.

"You asked about a resurrection, correct?"
