Education and career: His father, a famous elven scholar, homeschooled him. That was because Eternus wasn't allowed to go to the school for noble phoenixes since he displayed no noticeable powers connected with that bloodline. When he was 18, his second set of powers kicked in, and his mother immediately ordered him to attend the prestigious Summer Valley School of Magic.

After graduating, Eternus was finally allowed his rightful title of Lord and, at first, was given small responsibilities in the security sector. After some time, he was allowed to take charge of larger tasks until he was finally given all the responsibilities that came with his title, including diplomatic relations, overseeing everything from budget to the overall well-being of his people, and so on.

He was occasionally asked to put those roles aside and accomplish side missions because of his unique skill set. It's in his job description to even lead people into battle if it comes to that, even though it's his job to do everything in his power to prevent things from escalating that far.

When he is on missions, his position goes back to his mother only to be returned to him by default once he is back, whether from a secret spy mission or the newest diplomatic trip.

Personality and quirks: He is very passionate and stubborn, in line with the fiery personalities usual with most phoenixes. He believes that one has to be fair and just no matter what, and he is ready to die for those ideals. He can often be rash and do and say things he doesn't mean, especially with close family members. He has to maintain absolute control when working, so he sometimes lashes out at home.

However, he also has a strong sense of guilt that eats up at him constantly until he takes responsibility for his actions, apologizes, and does his best to make it up to those he wronged.

He is fiercely loyal and can't stand disloyalty. That is why he is close to his father, who always accepts him for who he is, no matter what. That's also why he secretly despises his mother, who rejected him for being different, only to demand he took his rightful place once he was proven worthy enough of her attention.

Although he tries to hide his more tender feelings, Eternus loves deeply and strongly, whether it is a family member or a significant other, and is ready to do anything for the person he loves, whether it is fighting for them or doing something he dislikes such as expressing his feelings or dancing.

Even though he has strong negative feelings towards his mother, he tries to prove to her that he is worthy of her attention and love.

Even though he grew up in a loving home his father and grandma created for him, he spent most of his childhood starved for a mother's affection and wondering what was so wrong about him to have his mother abandon him.

Not even his father's unconditional love or his grandma's adoration could erase that feeling, that pain that he keeps on trying to erase. But all he gets from his mother is orders and talks about duty and honor. Even after he has been an adult for such a long time, she never once gave him what he wanted the most, her love.
