Chapter 5

Driving Far away to a place where his pain would subside Omkara presses the accelerator increasing the speed in ten folds . He stops the car with a huge force in an isolated place . He refuses to look away from the picture , even as his lips tremble and his shoulders slumps with emotions . His dark lashes brims heavily with tears ,his left hand clenches to a shaking fist , in a desperate battle against his grief.A lone tear traces down his cheeks as it falls on the picture , and just like that , the floodgates opens .

He weeps, tears streaming down from his dark brown orbs , loud , heaving sobs tearing from his throat , and still he does not look away from the picture . Not until the sob drives him to his knees did his determined gaze fall as the picture falls off his hand as He curls in a ball crying over his Fate & guilt .

His sobs subsides as He sniffs wiping his tears that's when his gaze falls on the watch - His Bloodshot puffy red eyes widens horrified as the clock reads 8 o'clock .

"Gauri" He whispers shocked remembering him Leaving her Alone in the restaurant this morning.

"Shit" he slaps his forehead for his stupidity - How can I Leave her alone just like that? She is new to Mussorie - Where is She now? Phone, yes Let me ring her

Pulling his phone out He dials her number hurriedly - He had taken her number during the journey unknown to Gauri's knowledge secretly - too embarrassed to ask her,

"It's ringing " He sighs but - He sees the phone ringing nearby by to him - He moves his gaze to the passenger seat to Find her phone carelessly lying in the seat .

Minion ! He yells mentally as his mind plays back her sprinting out of the car hurriedly

"Shit " he shouts seeing her clutch to mercifully lying in the car .

"Where are You?" Omkara wonders turning on the steering wheel to get to her - his heart hammering out loudly as fear creeps .

"be safe please " He prays as he presses the accelerator hardly increasing the speed .

Walking in to his Flat with lost hopes he unlocks the door and places his foot in with a fallen face - He lost Again - The Only Hope in his Life - . He had driven hurriedly to the restaurant to only find the workers getting off for the day . He had inquired few workers and the nearby shops only to know that they have not seen her . His heart had dropped to its pit . Seeking from place to place where She could walk or get a trishaw - His had lost his hope unable to seek her, hold her in his arms safe and secure .

Omkara holds his cheeks to Find his palms getting wet - Losing Gauri Omkara finds it to painful - she was the only wish in his life since he saw her picture - He ,After his nightmarish past never ever wanted anyone in his life but She changed his perceptive as he gave a nod giving his consent without having second thoughts .

"Gauri - Please come back " Om whispers wiping his tears with his shirt

He had paced into the police station hiding his identity only to be replied that they could not take his case unless it is been 24 hours - Worse was that The Inspector had mocked laugh saying that his Gauri would have run away with someone , that had unleashed the beast in him as he had thrashed the Inspector until That b***d's nose bled How dare He talk bad about My Pure Gauri? - The cops had pulled him off and handcuffed him but just when Omkara roared that his an Oberoi and could sue them in minutes startled they had left Omkara .

Presently taking a deep breath He squints his orbs feeling the lights on - Shocked He runs through the hallway to the Dining area hearing Faint whispers .

The Lost smile regains as His heart paces up back to its place as Omkara cries seeing Her all well in front of him .Without thinking twice he takes steps towards her as He wraps his arms around her tightly pulling her close to him as He buries his nose in her hairs inhaling her very own fragrance . Hearing the heart beats of her close to his chest He feels alive yet again . Gauri reluctantly wraps her arms around him placing her chin on his shoulder , Om's lips tug up in the corners feeling her hugging him back .

"Doll" , Omkara frowns hearing the voice as He looks to his front to Find Rudra glaring at him . His frown deepens feeling Gauri pushing him slightly and turning back to give her attention to Him .

"Teddy " , Gauri calls him softly holding his palm in hers trying to assure Rudra everything is fine but it Fuels Rudra as he pulls his palm back.

Omkara's eyes goes big as Rudra holds Omkara by his collar "How Dare You Leave her alone in the restaurant all by herself ? Don't You know that She is new here? Do You know How Frightened She was? But was masking it with her braveness ? Do You know How humiliated She was? No , You do not know because The Mighty Businessman was more concerned about his Bloody business Deals !" Rudra snaps at Omkara with disgust as He pushes Omkara back who stumbles on his steps .

Each word from Rudra Felt like stabbing his heart as he looks terrified shocked about the revelations seeing Gauri's eyes welling up , Omkara Finds his guilt increasing - He successfully hurt her yet again !

"Teddy - I told You naah that I was the one who forced him to leave as it was an urgent meeting? And that it was my Fault that I did not carry my clutch and phone?" Gauri tries to assure Rudra .

Omkara looks at her dumb fold seeing her trying to cover up his mistakes putting it up on her head .

"Shut up - Gauri!" ,

Gauri jumps on her place hearing Rudra's furious words , She knew that he was trying to control his temper as He addressed her Gauri , which is used only during extreme emotions.

"Stop covering up for him - Do you think I am Blind? - I can understand you both have differences - New couple so you might have but - leaving you alone in an unknown city is not forgivable - " Rudra runs his two fingers in his temple puffing out in anger seeing Gauri opening her mouth He shows his index finger at her "Don't act Gauri - What changed between us ? that You - are hiding things from me? - Why? " He asks hurt .

Gauri moving forward hugs him sideways by his forearm "bhai " ,

Rudra hearing her calling 'Bhai' His anger melts as he wraps his arm around her ,

"Bhai - It's not like what you think Okay? Omkara is too good with me - I accept that it was a mistake that He left without paying the bill but He didn't know right? That I did not carry the clutch ? I have been telling you since hours that Omkara wasn't willing to leave but it was me who forced him to go - After he left Only I got to know that I walked in empty hand and - bhai you know how your Baby sister is bad in memorizing phone numbers? Only yours I could remember that I had to ring you up - "

Rudra sighs knowing that Gauri is too stubborn and adamant to let him know the truth - his lips curves up painfully knowing behind that sugar coated words She is covering up for Him , Her Husband , if she wants to sort out her relationship all by herself He would leave it to her but would always be her backbone unknown to Gauri's knowledge and He needs to have a Man to man talk with Omkara soon now but now He needs Fresh air to calm himself .

"Okay If you say so but Remember Gauri - I am here For You " Rudra says soothing her shoulders directly sending a glare at Omkara warning him indirectly .

Omkara was dumb and surprised to see them behaving like Brother and Sister - She knows him from long? Omkara wonders but seeing the overprotective nature of Rudra he feels himself smiling at the same time stuttering in fear Rudra warning him without blinking through his orbs . Omkara knew he was so wrong but why is She covering up for him? He could not help but think - since three nights to their marriage He never behaved like a Good Husband to Her but Why is She putting up his mistakes on her? Why? , His chain of thoughts break seeing Rudra's arms wrapping around his neck ,

"She could cover up for you But just remember Next time you hurt my baby sister and I see tears in her eyes - You die " Rudra whispers with a mocking smile and pats his back twice pacing out of the dining area with Gauri .

Omkara heaves a sigh of relief with a smile - How He wishes He had a sister who he could be this protective of , Omkara could easily guess that Rudra should be around 24-25 - Younger than him in few years yet his words send chills down his spine , He needs to ask Gauri how Rudra is related to her and why she hid it from him? But How could he question her like a husband when he does not behave as One?.

Gauri shuts the door close locking it after sending off Rudra , Leaning to the Door She lets the tears stream down remembering what she had to go through because of Her So-Called Husband .

"Maam Your bill " , The waiter places the bill on the table as Gauri smiles at him and looks to her sides to Find Omkara .

Her tension hikes up seeing him not back yet even after half an hour , Smiling cynical at the waiter who had been coming more than thrice she answers him that She is waiting for her husband .

"Omkara where you ?" She whispers fidgeting with her duppata in fear , She was alone that to in a new place makes her scared .

"Maam Are you sure you are waiting for your husband ?" The same waiter asks irritated as he had been hearing the same answer since past two hours .

Gauri feels sweat beads forming in her forehead feeling herself humiliated as her heart hammers loudly . Placing her palm on her chest She asks softly "Can I make a call?" , The waiter frowns irritated and shows her the landline near the reception .

Feeling herself being humiliated with the looks the waiters and the consumers around were giving tears well up as She tries to control her sob by swallowing a lump "Bhai-" She stutters holding the receiver close to her as She proceeds to tell him to pick her up .

Sitting in the taxi beside Rudra - Gauri could not help but lower her head seeing him glaring at her throughout the ride - Gauri had tried to explain but instead Rudra had shut her up . Finding Omkara's Flat had been easy as She had note down the address when Omkara had been telling her parents the place .

Walking into the Flat without the Key , Gauri had been clueless on what is she suppose to do but as luck as it seems Gauri had awkwardly passed a smile at the short tempered Rudra praying and had rung the bell hoping against hope that the door opens - Her eyes had popped out of the sockets as the door opened to only find the maid scrunching her nose . Proceeding to tell that she is Omkara's wife , The maid had scanned her from head to toe making her self-conscious and shook her head showing her displeasure with attitude and walked backed in not even bothered to call Gauri in . Gauri could not help but think why is the maid who was in her 50's behave in a disapproved way with her? But had shoved her thoughts off remembering that now all it matters is why the so-called husband left her alone.

Gauri had requested Rudra to get back home as the sun was setting only for him to refuse sarcastically mocking saying that he wants to know at what time her So-called - Best Husband will show up . Gauri had prepared lunch and Dinner and pulled him with her despite his refusal to have food but during the whole day She could not help but feel her chest tightening remembering how he had left her alone - Did He dislike me so much to leave without mercy?

Wiping her tears not to show her vulnerability to him She walks towards the dining area to see him seated with his head covered with his hands in the dining table .

"Gauri -I -am -Sorry " Omkara whispers softly ashamed about himself raising his head but lowering his eyelashes .

"Next time When you decide to Lose your wife , which is me , please do leave some Money !" She snaps at him mocking while cleaning the table - putting the leftovers to the Fridge not bothered to even ask whether he had food - Gauri had already concluded he might have had his food but least She knew that Her husband had been basking in grief and guilt .

"Why -Did -you - lie?" Omkara asks instead , He was hurt by her words , Did She think so low of him? That he will leave her again? But who is to blame . That hug - When she wrapped her arms around him back he felt peaceful -the pain from hours had been healing in that hug but the Fact it was just a put off to show Rudra all is fine between them - It pains him than it should .

"Why do You want me to tell? That My husband prioritize a F*cking Business over me ? and Left his wife F*cking alone in unknown place and that He did not even think where I would be ? He did not think twice that something bad could have happened to me?-Omkara I just don't know Why the F*cking hell did you even marry me that I have to go through this pain!" She snaps at him angrily while fighting her angry tears

"I just -don't know - " she murmurs looking at his remorseful eyes she says "Don't just put up the act you care - and Don't think that I covered up for you instead I did it for myself - Rudy Bhaiya would have killed you if he knows - He is too close to me My only Best Friend and He , My one only brother from my mother's sister , He is too overprotective that he might have taken me back to Delhi to My parents if he gets to know I am living in pain - then My parents would suffer just because of Me ! - I just do not want to break My parents -One reason I am putting up with you !" She snorts angrily walks towards the room the maid had shown as his .

Omkara clenches his fist frustrated about himself seeing her speaking out her thoughts with so much pain -Slamming his hands hardly on the table jerking the plates and glasses He pulls out the keys from his pant pocket and walks towards the locked room as he pushes himself in with tears streaming down and locks the door .

That Night two souls were awake in two separate walls crying over their fate .

The Next day Morning brought Freshness as Gauri woke up with high spirits with a smile . She wasn't the one to cry over yesterday rather She was the one who decides to have today better . Gauri never held grudges let it be anyone - She was the one to quickly forget and forgive yet what Omkara did wasn't forgivable but Gauri had closely observed how tired he looked when he walked into their room in the midnight and slept beside her . Gauri who had been awake had found herself smiling - She had strongly believed that whatever problems comes in a marriage - One should not distance from their spouse rather stay close at least with their presence and She could not help but feel overwhelm that he was sleeping by her side the whole night and now She would let go off that topic and star their day fresh .

"Omkara - breakfast is ready " Gauri says quickly with her eyes tightly shut as she sprints out of the room hurriedly . She had walked in to Find him only in his towel and stopped dead on her steps ogling at her sexy and hot husband with wet hair and with six pack abs but when she had seen his hand moving to the waist band to remove off the towel . She had shrieked and run out of the room before hurriedly letting her words out .

Omkara had woken up by a gush of wind that day midnight only to Find himself hugging his past pictures in his hands . seeing the clock reading 2 O' clock am He had chided himself for letting her alone yet again and walked back to his -no-their room only to find her tossing around the bed - knowing that she was awake had made his heart happy which he did not know the reason himself - placing himself beside her he had felt peaceful feeling her presence beside him - Soon within minutes he was asleep . He had been the first one to wake up in the morning to Find his minion sleeping peacefully with her covers thrown mercilessly on the floor. Smiling to himself he had had tucked her under covers wearing his track suit he had left for jogging .

After his jogging session he had returned home to Find her in the kitchen not wanting to disturb or make the situation awkward by alerting his presence he had decided to have a shower . After having a shower - draping the towel around his waist he had stepped in to his room only to Find her stopping dead on her steps ogling at him . The heated gaze of her had made him smirk to tease her he had held his towel only for her to shriek and sprint out . Chuckling at her reactions Omkara dresses up .

Gauri feels herself flushed as she arranges the table for him - seeing him catching her red handed She blushes biting her lower lip in embarrassment .

"Gauri" ,

"Ahh?" her daze breaks seeing fingers snapping front of her face - She shuts herself embarrassed seeing him in front of her dressed but she could not help but blush remembering the muscles that lay beneath .

"Food" , Gauri hears his teasing tone with a smirk itched on his face . She frowns scrunching chiding herself for being lost . Masking up her blush she serves him food and sits down beside him to serve herself .

Seeing him enjoying the food and having many plates of White sauce pasta she summarizes he loves it more but least she knew that He was famished since yesterday morning . Her lips curves up happily thinking that he finds her simple food delicious as She had noticed how little he used to eat in the Mansion . Gauri hears him sputtering and coughing as She worriedly pats his back while making him gulp a glass of water.

Gauri walks with him to send him off - They both stop at the entrance of the house fidgeting with their fingers nervously not knowing what are they suppose to say .

Gauri hears him say "I'll get going - bye - " , She sees him stopping and turning back to her "Stay Safe - I'll get back home -soon and --- Food was delicious ",

Her lips curve up hearing his words walking towards him taking him by surprise She side hugs him "have a good day" , She leaves him soon and sees his eyes smiling along with him as He leaves with a nod .

Omkara wearing his watch paces towards the dining area to find her standing lost and flushed - He smiles to himself knowing he is the reason not wanting to make the situation more awkward which could prolong their communication . He snaps his fingers front of her - Omkara could swear the way her eyes settled on his cleavage what was running his minion's head - Her cheeks deepening in red made her look too cute and adorable . That he wanted to pull her cheeks and kiss hard on her cheeks . Controlling his urge , Omkara wanting to divert her attention and seeing how impatient his tummy as it is making sounds , he teases her saying Food .

While having Food , Omkara could not help but moan mentally relishing the taste and had the urge to have more and more despite knowing that his tummy is to full . He with the corner of his eyes so how ecstatic She was seeing him having full and That made his heart skip a beat knowing he made her happy - at least a smile because of him . Stealing glances at her Omkara ends up sputtering and coughing badly. Her little palm on his back and her concerned gaze made him feel delighted .

Walking with her by his side - He could not stop himself from grinning like a teenager who was having a cute girlfriend . When he said to Take care and he will be back home - He meant them with all his heart , She is new here and alone he wants her to Feel homely and if His mere presence could make her homely then he would come back home soon-ish .

The sudden hug which ended before he could wrap his arms around her caught him off guard . The smile which reached his eyes was because of her after so long - if she is planning to put little efforts to make their relationship work even he would try from his side . With that thought he rode to his office with that smile never leaving his face .

He at First had not known how to ask her forgiveness but seeing her behaving freely with him without holding grudge he felt he was the luckiest man on earth to get Her as His wife - A woman who held no grudge against anyone , he had noticed how she behaved with his Mom and Daadi despite their taunting and even with him She never held grudge against him and moreover seeing her voicing out her thoughts and raising her voice against him at times made him happy , She spoke what she thinks - naïve and innocent and bold too for her own good .

Omkara had slightly expected the kind of reactions he would receive when he walks into the Office with a smile without being Grumpy , He chuckles lightly as her voice rings in his mind How she would murmur - Grumpy Old Man ! , Shaking his head he wishes the colleagues Good morning again the shocked voices of them wishes him back a Very Good Morning making Omkara chuckle - They looked at him as If He was possessed by a good soul.

"Man You drunk ?"

Omkara shakes his head annoyingly looking at his Laptop screen which Displays 'Their Marriage picture" , He shuts the Laptop screen irritated giving his full attention to the person in front of him .

"I need to double up your files I guess " Omkara says annoyed

"Man - Show some mercy on this pity soul " He Fake pleads

"Randhir - Don't You have any work like anything than barging into my Office and disturbing my dro- " Omkara bites his tongue embarrassed - Was I drooling over her? He wonders

"What?" Randhir asks squinting his brows interested ,

Randhir was Omkara's childhood Friend they literally grew up together and with Omkara taking up the CEO post in Oberoi industries Randhir too joined in here than looking up for a job in another place . He had seen the downfall in Omkara's life and how it affected him but today was different He had seen his Friend grinning like an idiot since the time he entered The office - he highly doubted it had something to do with Gauri , Only He was invited for the wedding from the office colleagues and Looking at Gauri's serene face during the wedding ceremony. Randhir knew that She would Fill the colors yet again in his Friend's life . Now seeing the goofy grin on his Friend's face He could not help but want to shriek in happiness.

Gauri walks back into the house happily and flushed remembering her small act few minutes back . Hugging him made her Feel tingling feelings in her heart - and That this Man was Hers to Do Anything made her take a step .

Shaking her head to get the thoughts out of her head she cleans the table and decides to switch on the television. Gauri is disturbed hearing the calling bell , irritated with the person other side continuously ringing she opens the door to give an earful to only Find the maid standing outside with a annoyed look .

"Don't lock the door!" She snaps and pushes Gauri and that lady walks in ,

Gauri clenches her fist annoyed - How dare She talk to her in that tone? Just because She is old - Heck ! "Urgh!"

She stomps her foot irritated to give an earful but is shocked to see that Maid ranting murmuring loudly enough Gauri to hear how unclean the house is . Gauri looks around to Find it neat than before - infact she cleaned the whole house few minutes before .

Gauri opens her open to give her back to that woman but stops hearing her phone ringing. The anger vanishes seeing her parents calling . The maid looks at Gauri and rolls her eyes and walks towards the kitchen .

Gauri raises her brow seeing her walking in showing attitude . Pacing towards her room She swipes to answer the call .

Gauri had been talking to her parents for hours , then to Her father-in-Law as Her mother-in-law refused to talk to her .She had been upset but Her Papaji had cracked jokes lightening her mood . She had ringed up Rudra and spoken for hours after hanging up wondering whether She should . With conflicting thoughts taking a deep breath Gauri rings him.

Chuckling to herself remembering his shocked expressions which she made out from the small talk , She steps out of the room to check whether the So-Called Maid had cooked Lunch.

Omkara who was irritated with Randhir's continuous teasing scrunches his nose annoyed trying to read some file, Soon he indulges in the project details when his phone rings. Not looking at the caller id he swipes placing it on his ear only to hear the breathing sound on the other side .

Putting the File on its place He asks annoyed "Hello - Is someone over there?",

"Omkara"

Omkara's eyes widens as he bites his inner cheek to stop the smile breaking out . To confirm it's her He pulls back the phone to check the caller ID.

Cupping his nose his grin widens seeing the caller ID which reads 'Minion'

"Hello" He whispers

"Omkara---Lunch-Can You come over For Lunch?" Omkara could make sure She would biting her lower lip and that thought send him crazy .

Liking the new Found Feelings between them , Omkara sighs and says a Quick Okay and hangs up , Getting his car keys pinging Randhir a message that he is leaving , Omkara walks out of the Office cubicle .

Arranging the dishes for lunch Gauri smiles happily knowing he would be back as much as Gauri hated the Maid , She decides to deal it with her own way rather than being a nagging wife by complaining to Omkara .

Seeing the time which shows still there is Half hour for Omkara to get back She decides to stroll around the house . Chuckling She caresses each walls and doors looking at Him looking back at her in each walls . Smiling at His Picture frames which was full of life with that careless smile , Gauri's face falls remembering She had never seen him so happy .

Coming to the Last Room . Gauri pushes the door to only Find its locked , Curiosity peaks through her skin as She looks around to Find the Key . Not Finding any , She turns the door knob to try again only to Freeze on her spot hearing his tone which send chills down her spine.

"Gauri"
