Mavis Pov

( Note this is before Mavis met back up with Zeref in the previous chapter.) 

My dad moved us to a new town called Kyoto ( don't blame) it was small and I didn't like it here. I missed my old friends and Zeref very much. " Mavis I know your upset because we have to move but I think you will like it here. A few months here and you'll forget all about your sadness." I didn't answer my dad I just looked out of the window " I miss you already Zeref... I want to go back home where I belong."  My dad pulled up to a very nice house and grabbed all of our belongings and walked into the house. " So this is the start of my new life here."

Year one

After living here for a year I was just bored. My mom was getting acustom to our new life, my dad wouldn't let my call Zeref's house to talk said I need to make friends here. "Mom.. When can we go back home?? I miss everyone there."  My mom just laughed and said " Mavis this is our home now. We have to be supportive of your father honey." I just got up and walked to my room and slamed the door. " I want to go home... I don't like it here... I wonder what Zeref is doing? probably having a great time with Lucy and Natsu." I looked at the necklace Zeref got me for my birthday.. "  We promised we won't forget each other right?" I smiled " even though I was moving her tried to make light of the situation... We will see each other soon. I'll keep my promise.. Just like he will." 

Year four

My life is getting easier now.. I still think about Zeref and my friends, but mostly about Zeref. " Mavis there's someone here to see you!!" " ok coming Mom!!" I go to the front door and see my friend Zera waiting " hurry up Mavis!!! Me and Warrod have been waiting forever for you to come out!" I laughed and took off with Zera and Warrod. We went to see the Purge.. Not my choice. duringthe movie I got scared " Mavis you scared??" Warrod whispered to me, I only nodded and He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, " Zeref used to do that to me... It doesn't feel the same."  I shrugged Warrod's arm off my shoulders, he looked suprised that I did that. He took his arm off and left me alone for the rest of the movie. Once we got to the restraunt he pulled me away from Zera and said he had to talk to me. " Mavis.. I know you don't know me that well but I do know that I do like you.. I want you to go out with me." I was shocked that Warrod would say this " Warrod..I think that's sweet but I like someone else.... Also I just don't feel the same way about you... I'm very sorry." I told him. I don't like to hurt people but I can't lie to them either. He looked hurt but just smiled " I'm sorry... I should have expected this... I just hoped for a different outcome though.. Let's go eat I'm hungry." he said. He didn't say anything else about it. " I didn't want to hurt him.. It's just I really care about Zeref. And I'm not going to stay here for very long...Right?"  I thought as I drifted off into slumber.

Year eight

Everything feels normal here now.. My mom has been very strict with the times I come home and who I'm hang out with. I don't really think of my old friends much, Zeref is still on my mind though. I still wear the necklace.. "honey.. these threats are getting out of control. They know exactly where what time we get home.. And they know almost everything there is to know about Mavis.. This is getting really out of hand!!" I heard as I walked down the stairs. " I guess they don't want me to know about this... It's kinda freaky." I thought as I came down. " Goodmorning Mavis! Are you going to see Zera and Warrod? ya know he's been coming by here alot... I think he has a crush on you." " mom.. I don't like him and he knows that. He's a nice guy but He can be very pushy at times." Mom just smiled while my dad just frowned " mavis you're not thinking of that boy from our previous home are you?"  " you don't like any guy here, but you always wear that necklace from that boy.. Zeref right?" I stiffened this is the first time dad has mentioned Zeref to me. " Dad I just haven't met anyone here who has peeked my interest yet." He just nodded while I headed out the front door. " I like Zeref what is the problem with that?" I spent the rest of the day with Zera and Warrod, but it felt like I was being watched the entire time. " Mavis you ok?" Zera asked I just looked behind me and said " Yea.... I'm fine. probably nothing anyway. " When I got home I saw an unfimilar car not far down from my house, as soon as I got to my house the car just drove away. " Mom!! are you home?" " Yes dear. I'm in the kitchen." I walked to the kitchen to find my mother staring at something, though as soon as I came up she put it away. " Mom is everything ok?" " yes honey... everything is fine.. co'mon let's gog wait for your father. It took about 3 hours for my father to get home. " I feel like somethings going on that they are not telling me... I hope everything gets better soon."

The day my life changed.

It was good day in the morning, but the feeling that I'm being watched has grown everyday. " honey he's been doing this for 4 years it has to stop!!!!" I feel somone always watching us all the time and now there have been death threats on my family even on me.. I came down the stairs and my dad looked up at me and for the first time I could say he looked scared for us. " Dear we will talk about this later. Mavis I will drive you to school let's go." My mom smiled at me and I got up and followed my dad to the car. It was a very silent ride to school until my dad decided to say something that shocked me " Mavis... No matter what happens I want you to know I love you. You were mad at me for a time because I moved you away from your friends and for that I'm sorry." This was very weird for my dad to say this.. It's not like him at all " It's ok dad.. you had to do what was best for us.. Why are you saying this? It's not like your going to die anytime soon." Little did I know that would be the last time I spoke to my parents. After school I decided to head to Zera's house for a little while not mentioning Warrod was coming again " so Mavis.. If you're free this weekend would you like to go out with Me??" I just looked at warrod and I think he got the message. After about 4 hours I decided to go home, Zera wanted to make sure I got home safely. When we got close to my home I noticed that the door was wide open and that the same car I saw Last time fleeing the scene. I ran into my house to find both of my parents on the floor.... Dead. " Mom?? Dad?? oh no... Please wake up!!NO!! why?! they were innocent they didn't do anything?!?!" the police camt to confirm my worst nightmare. I was orpahaned at 17 with both of my parents brutally murdered in their own home.. 

One month After.

It was decided that I would go stay with my Aunt and Uncle in my old home. After all of this I didn't really care anymore. The cops thought It would be good for me to not be here " If you're parents are dead who ever stayed there long enough so they would run into you too. You're not safe here."  I got all of my stuff and went back home. " I still think about Zeref.... He's the only family I got left besides Lucy or Natsu. I want to go home but I came here with others now I'm leaving by myself." Iarrived home and my Aunt Layla and Uncle Jude where there to greet me. " we are glad to have you back Mavis.. I'm sorry about you're parents." I just nodded not wanting to cry anymore. I got back home later and went to school on the same day. "so this is my life now... An orphan. What went wrong? what did I do."  I saw Zeref he looks very handsome, he looked shocked to see me. He noticed something was up but now he won't leave me alone. He grabbed my hand and refused to let go until I tell him what was wrong. I just stayed limp and let him pull me in for a hug. I couldn't help it, The tears just flooded out and I started to bawl. He took me to our little spot and just held me. " I've missed him so much.. I do love him. But I really miss my parents. Just hold me and don't let go. I'll tell him cause I trust him, I love you Zeref."
