Long ago, before the human race existed, there was rumored to be two gods. They were united, they loved each other, and they ruled Earthland. Their names were...no, are, Zeref and Mavis. Mavis was a cheerful, charming, beautiful god, convinced the world was filled with peace. She was the ruler of the oceans. Zeref loved Mavis with all his heart, and wanted to make everything right for her. But his idea of peace was control. He began to drift away from his love, to become sullen and hostile, he started to feed on hate. He was the god of land.

Mavis, though she loved him dearly, knew he wasn't the same. She was concerned for the sake of their realms, so she seperated herself from Zeref and decided to live in the deep ocean. She became lonely, so she created a race that would fill her days. This was the creation of the merpeople. Down there, girls were the rulers, the ones fully respected. Love thrived, her world was perfect.

Torn between grief and jealousy, Zeref created his own race, trying to outshine Mavis. But darkness can't over show light when fed on anger. His empire grew into a cold hearted distopia, with hatred as their main goal. The humans saw how Zeref admired the ocean, so they made the stupid assumption that was what he wanted. So they decided they would steal the ocean. If you look outside today you'll see the smoke and smog coming from the factories that are building the weapons of war. What once was a perfect world has now plummeted because of greed, hatred, and most of all, love. Going the wrong way about pleasing who you love may consume you. That is what happened to Zeref. He was consumed by a curse. A curse of greed. The only question now is....can it be broken?

And the merpeople, what about them? Only rumors have been heard that they truly exist. Have they all died from the pollution our foul race has cast into their home?
