There was an angel who had lost both her wings

You can't remember falling down from Heaven, nor can you remember why. But you remember being an angel, happily watching down at the humans before you woke up here, on the grassy nature of Earth itself. And as your grasp on the wet grass softens, you wake up to the reality of losing your wings.

So heartbroken the lost angel would have been

She wandered the town, not knowing what to do

You had seen the human towns from afar before, but seeing them up close and walking through them was something different. The people walked by you, not caring for you white attire or your unusually clear skin. They continued walking to their destination as you dodged each one, wondering if human skin felt the same as an angel's.

You kept staring at all of the dresses and tunics you saw, all handmade and beautiful compared to the dull colors of the environment. So many blood colors, so many different people. It didn't take long for you to make eye contact with one that will change you forever.

Their eyes both met and it was like love at first sight

She never knew that a love like this would feel so right

You've never seen a pair of blue eyes so magical before. Maven looked at you as you looked at Maven, and you both seemed to understand something. It was a feeling both of you have never felt before. You saw on his head, a crown the color of fire and a cape that draped like running water. He was a king. A human king had noticed you, and soon, began heading your way. You just stood in your spot with her fingers in your hair, wondering what you should do.

"What is your name?" He asks you, putting out his hand for you to shake. He has a nice smile, his eyes reflecting the deepest part of the Atlantic sea as he searched for your origin.

"I'm (Y/N)," you shake his hand. Your eyes widen as you feel how soft his hands are compared to yours. A soft blush drapes around your nose and cheeks. You couldn't find yourself to look away.

The two drew close, they broke away the magic lock

Maven pulled you closer to him in a quick moment as he pulled onto your arm.

"What color is your blood?" He asks you in a monotone whisper. His face darkened as he looked at your wrist, trying to see a color that could welcome you to his world. He saw silver, and he planned a moment in his head. You did not answer, you didn't even know the answer. He let go of your hand. He continued on with his questions, people starting to notice you.

"Where are you from?" He continues. You stare at his features, adoring him closely.

"I don't know," you admit with a small smile.

And then she opened up Pandora's box

"Would you like to stay with me? I can help you find your home." He suggests. Your heart starts to raise in your ears, and you slowly nod. He takes your hand again, his hands wrapping around yours as he lets you walk by his side.

A fruit filled with vile, had she cared to look,

She would find it in their innocent smiles

The castle was the most amazing, beautiful thing you have ever seen. Every morning you wake up early just to watch the servants walk by and the sunrise from your high view. It's absolutely beautiful and amazing compared to any architect you've ever seen. Maven shows you around, slipping in some questions about your origin every other sentence. You don't tell him you're a celestial being. You can't. And you won't.

Everything was happy for you. You hadn't considered what it would be like for an angel and a human to be together and how many laws that would break. An angel is supposed to be incapable of love, nevertheless a human. Everything isn't perfect, nothing had been perfect. You never looked at Maven the same when you found out he had a wife, Iris Cygnet.

A human with me, how on earth, could it be?

Maven loved you more than he valued her. You were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in his life. And when you two first kissed, it was moments before he accompanied Iris to discuss the finances of their two regions. He doesn't think Iris would care about you. And she doesn't. She finds you adorable as well. You are just a delight to have around, and most people don't mind your presence.

Now all I have to do; destroy it all for you

My heart and soul too

"I think... I have to go," you whisper to Maven one night. You are standing on the balcony, looking up at the moon and the starry night. You don't know about being with Maven, even as he is married to Iris. You, an angel, don't know what the silver arrangement for marriage is. You don't care that Maven and Iris don't love each other, they are still married together forever.

"What?" Maven looks at you, looking at your sad smile. A hand covers his mouth as he looks at you, rubbing his face.

"To where?" He asks. You close your eyes, whispering to yourself before stepping away from the balcony.

"I don't know." You reply honestly. You have to be with Maven, but you just can't. He's married, he's a human and you're an angel. Nothing is right in your hands.

Without a doubt, I will give up my wings,

And I'll face all the evils that our love will surely bring

You left a single feather on his dresser when you disappeared. He watched you walk into the hallway, but as he looked left and right out his door, he couldn't see you anywhere. You disappeared into blackness, talking to the void as you make a deal. You being an angel is something you will eventually conquer. You will become a human, and in return, get turned into a male.

A bride in black, at the sacred place of God

She saw a boy, who she thought was really odd

Iris took Maven to his first temple visit after your disappearance. She mourned and prayed for your safety as Maven just stared at a boy who stood near, but not close enough for Maven to recognize him. He had the same hair as you, and the same smooth skin. Maven couldn't stop staring at him; at you.

He was smiling even though

He had such mournful eyes

Surprisingly, you turned towards Maven. He was surprised, not expecting the boy to be so similar to you. Iris noticed too, looking at you as well. You smile, turning your body towards them. Maven looked you head to toe, taking in the elegant black clothing you wore. Something in his heart twisted and turned, but not in the same way as when he first saw you as an angel. Now, it's like a longing.

She froze in place, as she was gazing at his face

You walk up to him and Iris, introducing yourself. You bow against the royalty, taking in Maven's shocked expression. You remember everything about you being an angel. You don't regret turning yourself into a human, even if you are a boy.

You put your hand out for Maven to shake it, and slowly, he did. Your hand reminded him of when you two first met. He wanted to be with you more, even if it meant falling in love with the human in front of him.

Iris was the one to invite you to the castle for tea, something she would never have done. But she felt something towards you now, as well. Your sparkling eyes turned gears into her that she never thought she would ever feel.

The two drew close, then they gave into the lust within

You were the one to firstly push Maven against the wall when you two were alone, kissing him roughly. He enjoyed the feeling more than he thought he would. His bisexual tendencies make him grasp onto your shirt, pulling you closer to him.

Your hands run down Maven's chest, feeling under his shirt in a way you wished you could do as an angel. But now, your feelings have been achieved. You are now happy and beautifully desired in the process.

With their passion still set ablaze,

and burning bright like a fire

You hang over Maven as you pin him to the bed. His left-hand hold yours as his other grasps at your back, digging his nails into you. You two share a kiss before you rest yourself between his legs. He thinks of all of the moments of his childhood he left trying to be what his mother wanted him to. Now, in your arms, he feels safe and belonged. As he moans into your ear, he holds you closer than he's held, anybody. Both physically and mentally.

Fragments of time that we have lost long ago

They will all link us back

No matter what our love forgoes

In the garden of the castles, you run through it all with Maven by your side. He feels like a human again next to you, and not just a king. You have never felt more alive. The beautiful autumn morning let the bees and ladybugs fly freely past your feet as you closely examine all of the beautiful arrays of flowers. You pick one between your fingers and Maven holds your hand. You love the feeling of the wind against your skin along with Maven's breathe as he rests his head on your shoulders.

"Here you go," you whisper as you pick a red rose, placing it behind Maven's ear. He smiles at you before kissing your cheek. He brushes his fingers against the cold petals as he tries to imagine what he looks like. He's a beautiful boy, and so are you.

Now what is left is all the pain and regrets

But with you here with me, I cannot help but just forget

"I love you," Maven whispers into your ear. You blush, thinking about everything you sacrificed to get to this moments. You grab both of Maven's hands, kissing his knuckles. Your life is beautiful, everything in your life is everything you could have asked for. Maven, the love of your life, loves you more than anything in the world. And you couldn't feel any different.

Etched into our bodies

As permanent wounds as we carry on

Iris thinks about her love for you and how it has grown every day. She is a trained warrior behind all of her dresses and beauty. She knows how to control her emotions. But around you, it seems almost impossible. She dreams of being with you, dreams of kissing you the way Maven does. She never thought she would experience jealousy, nevertheless towards somebody like Maven. But as she watched Maven with you in the garden, something inside of her just snaps. Her inner warrior, her inner villain completely awakens.

Maven sat alone in the garden one day, finding a flower to give to you in return as you rest in the castle. And as quickly as he picked one between his fingers, all of the flowers fell around him as the weapon in Iris's hand caused Maven's heart to stop.

The time has come, the hour of judgment

When you found him, you didn't know how to react. He looked like a peaceful angel against the flower petals around him. But your eyes widened as you realized that he was not an angel, but a human. A bleeding, restless human whose life was slipping between your fingers. Iris had already left, thinking about her actions before you ran up to Maven. You cradled him in your arms. The person who you loved and will love forever are dying. Can you do anything about it? You, the human boy. What difference can you make?

Saving her lover from the black depths of hell

Was a feather she left behind to bid her last farewell

Maven opened his eyes, looking up at you. And there, he saw who you truly were. He saw the same angel he saw the day you left from the balcony. As he dies in your arms as of now, in the pocket of his coat is the feather you left on the dresser. And you can feel it, barely returning to your angel form as you think about your sin towards God.

"I love you," you say.

that's when she broke the spell...

Maven's wound was healed as his life flashed before his eyes. You, the human boy, was also the angel he fell in love with. He couldn't believe it. Everything made sense yet fell apart so perfectly. He was about to grant his love for you before he looked up, seeing nothing. All he saw was a falling black feather. You had disappeared, using your last angelic essence to break the spell that turned you human, healing Maven in the process. Now, you rest in hell for eternity. But at least Maven is safe and happy.

whose eyes never stopped weeping

Maven grabbed the feather, leaning down with survivor's guilt as he cried louder than he ever had before. He couldn't believe this was happening. He would never see you again. He could never feel your soft, unpiercable skin or your sparkling eyes. He could never run his hand through your hair while hearing your irreplaceable laughter. Everything was over. He had never stopped crying.

"'Til the next fateful meeting,

you will live on in my dreams..."
