Imma not say it was love at first sight,
But something about his presence always felt right.
From fighting to calling a truce,
From that to being friends,
I never really thought things were soon gonna end.

From missing his smiles and smirks,
To him bragging "I'm the best. Being with me in itself is one of the perks"
From his senseless talks,
To those wonderful walks....
All of that became a memory,
Before I even got the chance to tell him that what I felt about him wasn't ordinary.

Soon I realised I fell in love with him.
Tho we were like two really different colors.
But when it blends,
It was beautiful that I couldn't even comprehend.

Years passed by,
With just the hope that our goodbye meant until we meet next.
That someday "Hey my girl. How has life been without me" will pop up in my phone thru maybe a text.
Maybe, we will cross each other's path again.

Finally that day came,
When he was standing right in front of me looking exactly the same.
Tho I felt something was wrong,
But I waved the feeling thinking it was bcz I saw him after so long.
He stood there grinning like an idiot.
"Come on accept it I am the best" he said while wiping my tears.
I smiled saying "No u aren't even if it's been years."

It felt like that void inside me ended,
That in some strange way I was mended.

He soon informed me it was time to leave,
Something in his voice held a grieve.
"So soon?" I asked.
"So soon" he replied at last.

I wanted to confess all my feelings,
But he dropped a note in my hand with a look that was appealing.
He left soon before I even had a chance to speak.
I opened the note and it instantly made me weak.

"When tomorrow starts without me,
Don't you dare think we are apart.
Because everytime you think about me.
I will be right there is your heart.
And don't shed tears.
Because I would never reappear,
To wipe it off"

And that's when i realised,
That all I loved,
Was never alone.
