Author's POV

Vikas sat down on the sofa as Tejaswini worked on her laptop. He was sitting right in front of her but the laptop screen was not allowing him to look at her so he sat on the other side of the L-sofa. 

His movements caught Tejaswini's eyes as she looked at him only to find him already looking at her. "T-the fan is on this si-side.." he stuttered badly as all his vocabulary threw itself out of his brain. 

She lowered her gaze, a small smile playing on her lips and she nodded silently and went back to her work typing on the keyboard.

The silence was pretty loud and the only source of sound was Tejaswini's fingers hitting the keys. He sat with his elbows touching his knees looking around the office.

The emerald green walls complemented the gold wall clock almost perfectly and the small flower pots hanging from the hooks on the wall gave the room a pleasant atmosphere.

*Harry Potter Theme Intensifies*

Vikas's phone buzzed in his pocket. It was Abhimaan. He answered the call, walking out of the room. 

"Hello?" Abhimaan asked over the phone, "Hello Mr. Malhotra..." The line went silent. "You must be wondering why I called..." Abhimaan said nervously. "I... guess I am?" Vikas replied, unsure of what to say. 

'The younger Malhotra too doesn't drink right?' Vikas narrowed his eyes in thought.

"Where is bhaiya?" Abhimaan asked breaking the silence. 

'Or does he?'

"Um... Boss is actually out with Miss Rai, I am not sure of when he will come back though..." Vikas replied as Abhimaan just hummed in response. "I am fucked..." Abhiman whispered and cut the call.

After a while he came in with his eyebrows furrowed at his screen. He walked to the couch and sat down, his eyes still on his phone. 

"Abhimaan just called me asking about your whereabouts. He seemed a bit... weird. Please make sure to call him when you are free." he typed and read it again before sending the text. 

Ekansh's POV

We stayed like that for a while till she got up. "It's been 10-fucking-minutes." she said looking at her wristwatch. She passed me a playful glare. "Just 10 minutes!" I whined. She glared at me like mom, "We are in a public place Ekansh, keep that in mind." 

"So you agree to more in private," I ask, leaning forward and keeping my elbows on the table. She was going to sit back in her chair but hearing my words she gasped, "Haww! Bin ba bin besharam hote ja rahe ho Malhotra Sahab..." (Haww! Day by day you turning more shameless Mr. Malhotra)She teased passing me a glare. I chuckle shaking my head.

The waiter came and placed our order on the table. "Hope you enjoy your meal..." he said and walked away. Both of us ate in silence and decided to head back as it was getting late.

"I wonder what they'll be doing," Akshita chuckled walking down the stairs in front of me. "Hopefully making out," I said and she looked back at me with wide eyes. "What?" I ask scoffing, walking past her. She narrowed her eyes even more, "Come on, you were thinking the same thing..." I said, pushing the door open for her. 

"I mean... You not wrong, but you could have framed it better," she said, passing a teasing smile.

Author's POV

Tejaswini huffed and cracked her fingers as she finished her work. "So..." Tejaswini started, "I'm off work... What are you up to?" she asked, her elbow on the desk and her face in her hands. 

"Um... n-nothing ju-just assistant stuff," he said shuffling around. "It can be exhausting sometimes..." she said sighing. "Do you watch Harry Potter?" Tejaswini asked, hearing his ringer tone. "Yeah, I'm a huge Potterhead actually," he said, as Tejaswini's eyes widened in excitement. "Really? Me too!" She said passing him a smile. 

"Do you prefer the books or the movies?" "Books," he replied. "Same," she replied. "You know, I have a secret treasure that I am sure you'll lose your mind over," she said, bending down behind the desk. 

She pulled a drawer and took out what seemed like a book covered in a royal blue cloth pouch bag. "Take a seat," she said gesturing to the tall chairs in front of the reception. Vikas stood up, his curiosity getting the best of him.

"What is it?" he asked, taking a seat. "These are the first edition Harry Potter books signed by the one only Daniel Radcliff, Ema Watson, and Rubert Grint," she said, slowly removing the cloth.

"No way..." he whispered. "There is also a collection of all chocolate frog cards with an elder wand," she says, opening the things on the table.

"Are you kidding me?!" he said, looking at all the things laid out on the table. "Can I take a look?" he asked, "Yeah sure sure. I'll just make sure the clinic sign says 'Closed'..." she said and went out to change the LED sign.

The couple didn't realize how fast time went by as both of them sat and chattered about their favorite characters, scenes, and morals from the Novel series.

Akshita and Ekansh reach back to Akshita's clinic. Ekansh parks the car and as they near the building they see the LED sign turned 'Closed' "Closed huh?" Ekansh says narrowing his eyes. Akshita takes out her spare keys and opens the door slowly.

"Yeah but I guess Dumbledore already knew that Hagrid would say something like that..." he said resting his elbow on the table.

"Hm..." she hummed. "Even at the end of the first book Harry himself states that maybe Dumbledore wanted him to know so I guess that's why he sent him." "You have a good point!" she agreed nodding her head. 

"I guess he sent Hagrid so that Harry doesn't end up in Slytherin..." Vikas said as Tejaswini scrunched her eyebrows, "How so?" "Well, we know that the sorting hat tells Harry that he'll do well in both Gryffindor and Slytherin but Harry chooses Gryffindor because he was told that Slytherins are 'Evil' are whatever..." He explained. 

"That is so genius! How many times have you read the books?" she asked amazed by his deep knowledge,  "Maybe... 20 or 25. Lost count." he stated.  "What about you?" he asked, "Maybe 10 or 15 times-" Tejaswini stopped when she noticed the couple standing outside with guilty smiles.

Vikas too turned around and caught off guard he stood up quickly, "Boss- I-" "You don't have to say anything..." Ekansh said narrowing his eyes teasingly at him. Akshita walked up to the table. 

"Harry Potter, huh?" she chuckled. "I'll make sure to call you here more often Ekansh," she said, passing a teasing glare at Tejaswini who was red as a tomato. 

"I'll be sure to bring Vikas with me... Right, Vikas?" he teased. Vikas turned around and bowed his head a little toward Akshita, "Thank you for having me ma'am, I hope you enjoyed your evening, please let me leave." he requested. 

His eyes were on the floor, and his cheeks flushed red. Looking at the scene everyone broke into a chuckle. "You are free to go," she said dramatically and he left without saying a word. 

The smile on Tejaswini's face refused to leave. "What are you smiling on about? Huh?" Akshita teased Tejaswini a little more until they broke into a banter resulting in Tejaswini taking her coat and leaving. 

Ekansh chuckled at their silliness. "What are you laughing about?" she asked, passing him a fake glare. "Nothing... If I say what's on my mind I'm afraid you'll scold me for being... 'Besharam'." Akshita chuckled at hearing his words. 

"Wait outside, I'll cut the lights down and be on my way," she said and he left nodding. After a while, she came out. "Well then, goodnight." she wished. "Goodnight..." he smiled back at her and after sharing goodbyes they took their respective cars and left for their home.

Ekansh's POV

"Answer me honestly Vikas, what did you both do when we were gone?" I asked him as he rolled his eyes. "Nothing. Believe it or not, we were just sitting and talking about Harry Potter. That's it." he said with annoyance clear in his voice.

"Not even a kiss?" I ask as he looks at me with wide eyes, "I didn't even hold her hand, and you're-" he stops himself taking a deep breath. "Okay, fine I won't bother you..." I said with a smile on my face,

I was genuinely happy he had found someone interested in him. 

Akshita's POV

I drove back home and it was already 8 pm when I reached home. 

"Where were you?!" Amarpal shouted over the TV as soon as I opened the door. "With Ekansh," I answered and he huffed, shoving his mouth with some popcorn watching cricket. "I'm home!" I shout as Anuraag comes running. "Hello didi, where were you?" he asked calmly as I hung my purse on the stand. "I was out with Ekansh." 

"Oooo!" Rasika teased wiggling her eyebrows at me, "Stop bhabhi, it's not what you think." but she didn't listen to me. "Amma! Keltayidiya? There's no need to cook for Akshita's rajbhog anymore, Jija ji sambhal lenge." she said passing me a teasing look. 
(Mother! Are you hearing this? There's no need to cook for Akshita's royal meals anymore. Jija ji - Brother-in-law will handle everything.) 

I just rolled my eyes at her and she chuckled. "Bas masak kar rahi hu." (I was just joking.) she said pulling my cheeks lovingly. "Chalo, Naha do ke aao, khana abhi kuch samay mai lag jayega." (Now go, freshen up, dinner will be ready in a while.) 

I smiled at her and walked to my room. After taking a leisurely bath and changing into new clothes, I text Ekansh before going out to dinner.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter. 

This one was comparatively more bring and sunshine than previous ones :)

Anyway, I was thinking of completing till about chapter 41 (before 12.09.2024) and that chapter specifically causes things are gonna get crazy in here guys.

I am not entirely sure if I will be able to finish the goal however I'll try my best. I guess some of my relatives are coming over so the privilege of my private room will descentigrate and so will my ability to write chapters cause my family doesn't know about this book sooo... Yeah.
